For a coffee lover this is & ideal place. Super clean & luxury level atmosphere. The view of Colombo Museum is an eye candy for you. The time I visit it was drizzling which was a nice seen.

Highly recommend for your quick snack and coffee. And breakfast is yumm good portion and lovely presentation.

The Brown Bean Coffee has a couple of locations in central Colombo. The larger of the two is located across the street from the National Museum. Service is great. Food is good. Breakfast at less than 3 dollars is great value. Prepared to order, it includes eggs, toast, sausages, fresh fruit and tea. The coffeeshop also makes fresh juices and good brownies.

Prices are reasonable. However the sandwich I ordered was not perfect but ok. Cappuccino was good and milkshake was great. We got some coconut cake and cupcakes. Those were good too. Small place but cute.

I visited the café in Good Market after hearing a lot about their coffee. The iced coffee was definitely among the better ones I've tried in Colombo, meeting my expectations for taste and quality. The service was a positive aspect, with the staff being quite friendly and adding a nice touch to the visit. This level of customer interaction is always appreciated and makes the experience more pleasant. However, while the coffee quality and service were good, some areas could be enhanced. The café's ambience and overall setup were fairly basic and didn't particularly stand out compared to other coffee spots in the area. Price-wise, it was more affordable than most places in Colombo, which is a plus. But considering the overall experience, it felt like there could be better value for money, especially regarding the café's environment and the variety of options available. In summary, while the café offers good coffee and service, it doesn’t fully hit the mark in providing a memorable café experience. It’s a decent option if you're in the area and in need of a coffee fix, but it might not live up to the hype for everyone—a solid three-star experience with potential for improvement.

Working Hours: Monday - Saturday 7AM-7PM. Sunday 7AM-5PM. I suggested editing hours to Google but still pending on owner's side. Hope they will notice. We got incorrect hours coming here twice. Non coffee beverage prices are very affordable. The coffee prices are standard. Tried their watermelon juice without sugar, very refreshing. For the food, their prices are competitive, even on the cheap side. Quality was good. Had beef shawarma that was very filling.

Nice cosy coffee shop with seating downstairs and more upstairs. They serve the traditional coffees and teas as well as some very delicious fruit smoothies - you have to try the mango booster! They also have snacks and a small selection of cakes. What made this place special though was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Going to any cafe/restaurant with a 10 month old is never easy usually, but here it was thanks to the staff.

The brown bean coffee is a comparatively new coffee shop right opposite the national museum, next to the Colombo land registry. It's a small place, with two tables - each for one person - to dine in as you enter in the ground floor, and an upstairs with a few more tables where two to four people can sit at one. We had hot chocolate and iced coffee; the hot chocolate was quite good, at the right temperature, and the iced coffee is also recommended. At 600 rupees the hot chocolate was a good value for money with sufficient quantity as well. The same can be said about the iced coffee. They also have wraps, submarines, sandwiches etc. Service was good, staff helpful. They do not charge a service charge and all the prices mentioned in the menu are with added tax. The Brown Bean Coffee fulfills a much-needed coffee shop requirement in the area.

Exactly what we needed before our tour of the museum- a refreshing cup of coffee in a nice relaxing space chilled with air conditioning. The Service was fast and friendly. I recommend you sit on the second floor where there is a nice view of the museum.

Visited there with my friend for a birthday celebration and such a nice place with best Staff. Specially Mr.Nuwan who really do help us with every single moment without any hesitation. They didn’t even added any additional charge for outside cake either z hats off for this place and staff because you wont be able to bring your outside cake to any other places in Colombo.Prices are reasonable and its the best atmosphere ever. I'm a regular customer at Brown Bean Coffee (Colombo 07 in front of the museum. ) I love their cupcakes. I went to have breakfast one day and I was having a really bad day. I was sitting and crying due to a personal reason and the staff was so courteous and nice to me they did this lovely gesture to make me feel happy. Fantastic customer orientation and great team. I wish them all the best ❤️ Such a wonderful staff 🙏🏽

A well spent morning with friends over a warm tall hot chocolate and a mushroom, cheese and tomato toasted sandwich spiced up just the way I like it! Value added service with a smile; food to go or eat-in at an affordable range; smoothies and healthy diets if the need be - specially prepared for you! Take your time over a meeting or a quick catchup as you imprint the view of the Colombo museum in this quiet comfy environment.

A good place to have a snack with the magnificent view of the museum. Located in front of the museum. The prices are very reasonable and the food are very tasty. (We have tried spicy chicken submarine and Smoked chicken submarine along with Mango and Wood apple juice.) The staff is friendly. Parking space is available. You have to go in to the first floor to dining. The reason I give only 3 star is as follows: They took long time to serve the dishes even though we were the only guests who were there at that time. I was not comfortable with the staircase. The space between the steps were not enough. So be aware of that.

However, if like me, you are looking for specialty coffee (or a Third Wave Coffee) then you’re likely to be disappointed. I ordered this flat white and was served a strange milky concoction, with two little coffee and too much milk (12 oz) not prepared well. I paid for the coffee, thanked the staff, and quietly poured it away. Verdict: Recommended if looking for a local cafe; avoid if looking for specialty coffee. Prices are reasonable but as a coffee lover not the best coffee ever. The staff and the service was kinda ok.

Cute small cafe with a view of the Musuem. Perfect for early morning breakfasts 🥪. The staff was kind enough to let me pay later as I forgot my wallet. Food and coffee is pretty decent too. Value for money ✌🏼👌🏼

The service was one of the worse experiences a had. They were very unfriendly and I tried to order food in addition to my milkshake several times but they never let me finish talking so, I couldnt order. I left as soon as I drank my milkshake and wouldnt come back.
