Exceeded expectations with their service, food and the location. Food was excellent and the variety in the menu was unique. Even better than their food is their service. From the manager to the steward, everyone was very accommodating, courteous and goes out of the way to create an amazing experience. I enjoyed every minute I spent there and it was good value for money. I will definitely be going back to try the rest of the menu.

My teenage son and I had a lunch date here yesterday, our first visit. Everything about our experience was exceptional and exceeded our expectations. Our meals were perfectly cooked, with incredible flavor in both dishes and care for presentation. The inside dining was cozy and intimate, and the outdoor seating appeared to be a romantic evening waiting to happen with string lights and live music on Thursdays-Sundays. I had the privilege of talking to the proud owners of The Avenue, and one studied culinary arts in NYC followed by a significant practice in the culinary field for some time in America. It is strongly apparent that they have a passion for fine dining and I will highly recommend to all.

This place was beyond expectations!! The ambiance and the environment is amazing suits for friends/ couples/ family. The staff is so decent and friendly. The food was soooo good. Prices are really fair and decent. Had a n amazing time and finger licking delicious finding food which looked heavenly as well. Highly recommend!!

Update after visit to the restaurant. Great service, quite a nice ambience and tasty food. The menu was quite limited, especially on Sri Lankan food, but we didn't mind. They have both indoor and outdoor sitting, which is quite helpful given the context. Thank you for making our spur of the moment "let's eat out" decision quite enjoyable! them for the first time, I'm quite happy with the food. We ordered the stringhoppe meals, and the strings and sambol were quite fresh. The curries could have been better, but it was tasty.

It's a lovely cozy place for a relax meal. The food is excellent and the service is good. I would recommend this place.

We had an absolutely wonderful night at the The Avenue’s backyard garden area. From the ambiance, live music to the food and service, everything was perfect! Out of all the yummy food we tried, our favorite was the Seafood Vodka Pizza. Will be back soon!

No complains. One of the best I’ve been to. Not a big restaurant. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Can accommodate up to around 30 people I guess. Service was superb, friendly and homely. The food was delicious and was quickly served. Dishes are authentic and the portion size is good enough. The beverages were top notch as well. The hot chocolate, specially, was huge and tasted awesome. Would not hesitate to go there again. Recommended. Prices are in the range of that of a fine dining restaurant.

The place is really good for a date, it's calm and things aren't in a rush. Nice clean furniture really liked the environment and how it looked. Not to mention their service and food is out of doubts, one of the best out of small restaurants out around in colombo.

I can't recommend a better restaurant in Colombo. I went because I know Charles and my culinary experience was exquisite. The lovely space, the amazing staff and above all the food… OUTSTANDING! If you are a meat lover, this is your restaurant!

NOT WORTH THE PRICE!!!! NEED MORE FLAVOUR!!!! Reason why im giving this 3 stars is because it is not worth the price, The curries need more flavour!!!! I ordered a chicken rice and curry through uber and I had to select 5 vegetables, i chose carrot and pineapple, but as per the description it said rich pineapple curry, but it was very bland, also the carrot "CURRY" was more or less like raw carrots, and even the beans were not that well cooked. There was a good piece of chicken though, but apart from that the others needed flavour, Also if im paying more than 500 bucks just for a chicken rice and curry, I expect better quality, could have given 5 stars if the price was around 250+ , not for a rice and curry worth more than 500, and I think there are better options in colombo for a cheaper price than this.!!!!!

Cute, quaint little place. Their starters were amazing!! And food was of very high quality. It’s fine dining so don’t expect Portion sizes to be super large. The fish was so soft and fresh but the chicken was a little overdone. Price was reasonable for the quality of food.

Had a nice beef dish and a sandwich which is very delicious. Good space, nice ambience even in Colombo busy area.

The customer service is top-tier. However, I had to take 2 stars out because there was no AC and they took way too long to bring our food.

My daughter and I recently had lunch at this delightful establishment, drawn in by her fondness for their mouth-watering pepperoni pizza. As it was her special day, I wanted to make it memorable for her. The staff was incredibly warm and attentive, ensuring we had a wonderful dining experience. To our surprise, they presented us with a delicious brownie topped with a birthday candle and accompanied by a heartfelt birthday wish. My daughter was overjoyed! The entire team made an effort to come out and wish her, making her feel truly special. The food, in addition to this, was absolutely delectable. This charming spot is a gem and I would highly recommend it for a memorable dining experience.

Great service and food. Fish wrap was delicious. They accept credit card. Also OK for foreigners to eat - I didn’t get sick.

It's a great place. Nice atmosphere, clean and calm. There is outside seating area as well. Food also served nicely and delicious of course. Good variety to select from. Surely will visit again soon.

I accidently choose and ordered beef rice and curry. It is absoultely one of the best srilankan cusine I vere had. Very clean, very tasty. As I know they are providing organic foods. If any foreigners want to try Sri Lankan authentic foods, dont waste your time to find expensive hotels, go Ceylon by The Aveneue, you will not regret. Thank you offer your lovely food. :-0

Caesar salad had the best prawns ever!!! Beef burger very tasty and cocktails were amazing. Would definitely recommend.

Nice Ambience, good service, but big let down on the food experience. For this price point and the advertised “fine dining”label, expectations were far higher than what the food in reality delivered to the palate. Might be a bad day but I will not want to go there again. Pity, seemed like a winning option when I walked in.

The place is quiet, it can be seen from the number of visitors who come... This should be a question for them, why is that? I think they should improve the quality of the food and taste... Start from there, then I'll be back... Oh the service is good if you want to know

Totally messed up my order…. Didn’t get what I ordered at all… totally disappointed

A tad overrated in my opinion as the food was underwhelming! My portion of Pork was way too small with just one small piece - hardly adequate for a adult male!! My wife had a Chicken dish which was way larger than the Pork dish but was not particularly tasty and finally, the Garlic bread was a ripoff! Service was excellent - no issues there!

Such a disappointing experience with both the food and the staff service. The food was so bland and didnt feel at all fresh. Even things like a pol sambol didn't at all have any taste in it. This is not the first time the food has disappointed me here. Previously a staff member even sent the wrong order (replacing a vegan dish with chicken without even asking) but I let it go. Never again though. Horrible place.

This New ( since 30 Dec. 2021) and quiet Guesthouse near to the Beach(400 m), Bus- & Trainstation (Habaraduwa)300m, Shops & Markets(300m) is an excellent Place to Stay. The Ownerfamily is very friendly, helpful and amazing to help your stay enjoyable. The modern rooms are comfortable, very clean and you have a fully equipped Kitchen to use. He helped us for an Airport Drop-Off, we get an Yammie Breakfast with Fruits, Omelett,Toast, Coffee or Tea. The nights were very quiet, no traffic !!! a wunderful Shower and Airco are in the Rooms.

Extremely small portion. I ordered fish ambulthiyal today on pickme food for 380 rupees and they send me ONE PIECE of fish. With delivery and everything I had to pay 450 and waste of money I must say. Not worth the price at all.

We've been in Sri Lanka for more than 3 months and this was the BEST dinner ever! The service is amazing, very kind and caring. The food...I can't even describe how well we ate at this place, we ordered a few dishes and everything was SO YUMMY! Also delicious wines and beer selection. We left this place so happy - thank you so much The Avenue staff! Do yourself a favor and visit this place, it is really worth it!

Don't bother going. Very poor meal. We had lamb chops which were tasty ,but nearly all bones and no meat. At $25 per dish they arrived stone cold and had to send back. Nice staff . Poor quality meat . Dessert was OK however but we still came away hungry. Lacks any atmosphere.
