Once the two storey construction is completed, it should be a nice area to relax, walk, and shop near the port dock. Currently, the only shops open in the area is an ice cream shop and a trinket shop. Expect more soon. There is a nearby mall that you can walk to, but they charge a $5 entrance fee. Would not recommend walking outside the port area unless you are part of a ship excursion. The duty-free shop in the port security area was quite pricey, but saw a few interesting items, like the note on the cigarette cartons.

Need actual AC not only the monster fans. I've seen construction going on for a while already. Hope after that this place will be much better. There's a mall very close with variety. shops, restaurants and groceries. There's security in all the area. Colon downtown is close by as well, on the older side, but still nice. Friendly people. Just be a bit extra careful while walking around town. Plaza Paseo Marino is very nice and is also close by (about 10 minutes walk). Chance to walk around or run with a nice ocean breeze at this beautiful plaza

A place everyone needs to visit so you remember how absolutely fortunate you are! They have apartments that rent for 50.00 a month and the high end is 300.a month They are proud and love their country!

Not very much at the port itself. A few vendors with tee shirts & other souvenirs. About a half mile there's a strip mall with restaurants, groceries, and other shops. Ate some local food at the deli in the grocery & picked up a variety of hot sauces. Worth the walk!

I am giving this a 4-star review even though the port and surroundings could be viewed as depressing. This is at the port of Colon Panama where our ship anchored for the day. There is lots of poverty here with run down buildings and rubble. This scenario was in juxtaposition to the brand new shopping mall still being built. I found this place fascinating. Passengers getting off the ship were greeted by a young troupe of traditional dancers. The bright-eyed young people and their colorful costumes made up for the sadness of this down-trodden coastal town.

Dear traveler. If you make it through shantytown alive, you may find a boat and resume your journey. Good luck.

Cruise terminal is okay with the minimum necessities, there is a duty free mall right next to the terminal but the 2-level shopping building is incompleted. However, there are some outdoor sitting areas to relax. There is really nothing much around except Super99 supermarket and few stores nearby. Hotel Radisson is about 5-10mins walk from the terminal but it's often busy when there is a cruise and pricy considering the overall surrounding of Colon city. It's better just take a taxi or get a Uber going to Panama city for better and cheaper hotel.

The free trade zone is within easy walking distance from the cruise terminal. There are a few small shops and restaurants immediately next to where the boats dock.

I went to that cruise with my mom and my neighbor in 2019, it was great. The foods in this cruise werent my type until a few of those came in such as bacon with cream. We owned a room with no windows and it fells like night in here. We went to colombia, curaçao, bonaire, and aruba. I feel like sick during my trip to bonaire i think. However it doesnt have a electric pump to inflate the floaties but that’s alright, we take the lowest pool. But this is what the incident came, my neighbor i’d like to call it Tiffany pranked me when there is a snake/spider in the toilet so we have to go where my mom is, the relaxing area upstairs the eating room. She told me to go find my mom and i went it, and i took the wrong floor. So i didnt know where my mom is so i had to find my room and realized i have token the wrong one, aaand also injured my right leg or whatever. So i go to the right floor and head to my right room and knocked on the door but theres no response so she went away, and she found me on the hallway and followed through the top floor. I founded my mom and we all head to the room, she decided to open the toilet and theres none snake/spider in the toilet. Good job. But anyways sorry for this long review message here.

The food here was really good. I was much more impressed with the food here than the ship and both are owned by Norwegian. It was very expensive or I would give it 5 stars. About $80 U.S. for 2 rum punches, 2 beers, ceviche and tacos

Pretty good car wash. However the equipment is ancient. Needs an upgrade. Someday someone else will open a more modern place and take all the business.

The clerks don't understand English. The congregate around the register. Not a very good selection of name brand liquor. No watches for sale.

I couldn't find a lot of information on this area while we were in Port. My bad for not doing more research before sailing. I hadn't scheduled an excursion in Cologne, so I stayed on the ship. I heard that there was a place for locals to sell handicrafts and a casino. The view of the city was nice from the upper decks of the ship I was on.

Gorgeous view and such amazing shops in this dock. Cabs are easy to get, and the food is great

Great tours available outside terminal (but not on street) - toured to Panama City with JETZEL - highly recommend her. Be really careful with area just outside of terminal security gate.

The location doesn't have bilingual personal whi can give you instructions or assistance before the cruise staff arrive. They charge $5 dollars per person for no reason! Just to access a location without any accommodation for the customer's. The cabs or private car rides will have to pay to access, so to avoid additional charge they will left you outside the gate for you to walk... so sad.
