Go here for a great breakfast, ladies and gentlemen. They’ll feed you nice food and they’ll charge you like you were made of money. I took 5 quick loans, so I could afford to go here and eat a delish meal! This will be my last post as I’ll need to go into hiding from the creditors, live fast die young!

Great restaurant! Amazing food, very friendly and professional staff that speak english. And the garden is just the best - lots of plants and ventilators for a light breeze. Vegan options available. I recommend making a reservation in advance.

This place was amazing. I would definitely recommend reserving a table prior to ensure that you have a spot to sit as this is a very popular place. That and the parking is the only down-side, this restaurant was packed and loud. However, everything else was perfect. Attention to detail was amazing, a knife was dropped and the waiter came right away to replace it. The food portions were perfect, maybe even a bit too much but we were able to bring it home. Would definitely order to go or call in to see quieter hours.

Nice place, specially a great option for brunch. They have seating inside as well as outside in the garden. My favorites were the french toast and the eggs benedict. Good and quick service, tasty food and nice vibes. Worth a visit for breakfast and brunch.

Absolutely loved this restaurant!! The bartender made the best mojito we had in Panama and the other specialty cocktails were delicious. The service was spectacular as well, everyone was super friendly. The vegetarian burger and almond crusted tuna were amazing. They also had a few other vegetarian and vegan options I wish I would have tried. I would definitely recommend dining here while in Panama City!

The food was delicious. It took a little to come out it is worth the wait. The waiter didn't seem to notice my beer was out . I don't understand the bigger the check the bigger the tip. He might have just gotten busy doing other things. The staff was very polite besides that . I had the cauliflower it was amazing. The fish sandwich was good. The jerk chicken was also tasty.

Ask for bug spray if sitting outside. Otherwise, breakfast was delightful. I had poached eggs on the local corn cake and really enjoyed it. The watermelon juice wasn’t as sweet as I’m used to, but it was still tasty. The place is adorable.

The Mahalo Cocina y Jardin is a super beautiful cafe with a great atmosphere in the old town of Panama City. The menu is really good and has many vegetarian and vegan options. Also the coffee is incredibly good. Service was also super nice and prices are fair. I highly recommend! 😊

The food is amazing. Great vegan/vegetarian/ healthy options & cute garden in the back. We’ve been here 3x for their smoothies since we got to Panama. Love all of the house plants!

Beautiful restaurant that is stunning inside and outside. Inside is an old world bar that is oozing with character and charm. The garden is a lovely oasis of calm during the day or night. Food is fresh and authentic with fantastic breakfast, lunch and dinner. My favorite was the Power Bowl and Hummus Beetroot toast as well as the Falafel Salad. Great selection of drinks ftom the bar. Very friendly and attentive staff.

Really delicious food! I got the seared tuna, which was incredible especially with the crispy potatoes. The decor and overall atmosphere of the restaurant was also incredible and a great place for dinner with friends.

UPDATE: I recently revisited Mahalo after a previous experience and I'm pleased to say that it was truly exceptional. From the moment I arrived, the staff warmly greeted my party and promptly seated us in the delightful garden area. The service throughout the morning was impeccable, and the food exceeded all expectations with its incredible flavors. Not only did Mahalo restore my faith, but it left my friends and me raving about the outstanding food, attentive service, and inviting atmosphere. I am genuinely grateful to Mahalo for their sincere apologies, generous gesture, and for genuinely caring about their patrons. I eagerly look forward to returning to Mahalo in the near future. OLD review: I have been a long-time patron of this local restaurant and have always had a great experience, particularly during their delightful Sunday brunch. The ambiance of the garden spot is simply lovely, and the service has always been top-notch. However, during my recent visit with a group of five, we all seemed to agree that the food fell a bit short. It lacked the usual vibrant flavors and could have benefited from a touch of salt. It was disappointing, especially since I have always enjoyed their delectable vegan breakfast options in the past. Nevertheless, I remain hopeful that this was just an off day for them and that they will soon recover their usual culinary prowess.

All of our group's food was delicious- and we all ordered different things. Beautiful garden to dine in- they even have a jacket fruit tree! So cool. Espresso, fresh juices, avocado toast, and waffles were some favorites.

Great food, and even better hospitality. We only had appetizers as we would stop in as we entered or left the old town (great place for uber to drop you or pick you up to stay out of traffic). The bartenders and staff made us feel so welcome. While we didn’t have brunch, it all looked amazing. Thank you Carlos and all your other teammates for a memorable, wonderful experience.

Second time here. Everything was excellent again. This review is about the outside area which is really cool. Not a rooftop bar but good airy area. My brother got the steak. It was very tender broccoli and potatoes were perfect. $20. I shared the shrimp curry with my wife. $18 and worth it. The onion passion fruit mango appy is a must!

This is so far my favorite Restaurant in Panama. 1. The food was great. That was the best chicken and waffles. Food was delicious and the presentation was outstanding. 2. The server was very nice and amazing. We got there after they finished serving breakfast. He brought us a breakfast menu and allow us to order breakfast during lunch time. That is good customer service. 3. The food was not expensive compare to how much we were going to spend at the hotel. 4. The atmosphere was amazing. We had a reservation but when we got there, they did not have any open table inside. We were ask if want to sit at the gardens. It was pretty nice. It was a little warm but good vibe.

Absolutely delicious. The restaurant was super cute, but we sat outside in the yard. So unique with gigantic plant that I never saw in my life. Food and drinks were absolutely delicious. I wish I lived a little bit closer so I can go back. Highly recommend.

Stopped in for dinner after having passed by in the day a couple times. Nice place with indoor and garden seating. Food and drinks were delicious! Prices are reasonable for the area and some good English speakers on the staff. (Those who weren't, were very patient with my broken Spanish 😉) recommend for dinner or lunch. Decor is beautiful and the seating is comfortable both inside and out.

Still fantastic. We ate her last summer and were looking forward to returning. The waiter and chef was super nice to let us order from the brunch menu even though it was over for the day.

I came here as much as I could during our stay Las Clementinas! Delicious food with fresh ingredients, do reserve for weekends as it’s super busy! The garden is a true green escape.

Very cozy place on "Casco Viejo" Panamá. The food was good, and the waiters were attentive (They speak English too). Excellent "inside the establishment", but if you are eating later at night, be ware of the neighborhood once you get out of this restaurant.

Amazing food. Bartender was from Venezuela and super nice. I had the summer salad. My husband had the falafel bowl. We went back for dinner and had the octopus. One of the tastiest spots on our trip. From Nashville Tn.

Great setting for good food in old town. In back there is a nice terrase to sit and eat interior of the building. Massive palm tree is really impressive. The night we dined there was live music in the bar and a lively crowd. But in back it was quite serene. Service was great, friendly, helpful and bi-lingual. Drinks were good as well. Menu was a mix of Latin and Asian styled dishes which alludes to the "Mahalo" name and Hawaiian influence. Our table enjoyed the dishes, seared ahi, Thai curry, and I had the deconstructed tacos. "Deconstructed" fish tacos were pretty good, but the fish was slathered in a red sauce that was ok. I would have preferred a nicely grilled piece of fish to make my tacos with vs the sauced fish. As presented it was almost as if the sauce was trying to cover something up. Pickled veggies were great.

Absolutely fantastic experience! Our group of 4 all loved their food and drinks. From the power bowl to the brunch burger, everyone was happy. Delicious cappuccinos. It was fun to watch the bartender make so many beautiful drinks. Highly recommend making this a stop if you're in Panama City.

The vibe at this place is very cool 😎 Love the food, the service, the drinks! If it’s not raining, we recommend sitting outside on the patio underneath the palms. Thank you Carlos, you’re the best!

Very good food with a beautiful interior and garden. The falafel was excellent with toasted kale sweet potato rice and plantains. The fish sandwich was solid as were the truffle fries. The interior is classic with dark wood and a classic bar. The back patio is lush with greenery.

What a wonder! Loved everything about this place. Nicely decorated, friendly and helpful staff. The dishes were very tasty and fresh. Their lemonade is great. Very nice location easy to reach from the large parking lot at the bottom of the street. Not very busy. Felt like at home, will surely return. 100% recommended.

Yum. Had the huevos al Montero in attempt to combine some traditional Panamanian food (corn tortillas and pea sauce) with my beloved American breakfast..it did not disappoint. Chicken and waffles were also very good with a unique smokey bbq flavor. Overall the food was delicious, atmosphere was beautiful, and service was kind and helpful.

  • 5/5 Martin U. 1 year ago on Google
Very delicious food and many vegetarian options. The staff is very kind and friendly. Try to get a table in the garden, that is so beautiful and calm there in comparison to the hectic Panama city streets!

  • 5/5 Daniel G. 1 year ago on Google
Don’t sit inside but get into the backyard garden. It’s so beautiful with large palms and and trees that give some shade - you should not miss it. The food is also very very good, the staff super friendly. Might be one of my favorite places on this planet to spend time.

Fantastic! Beautiful inside and outside seating. Great service, delicious food! I had the wrap for breakfast and my spouse had the huevos ranchers and a side of maple bacon and we shared an order of homefries. Excellent experience from start to finish.

Every dish looked and tasted amazing! The service was excellent! For a family of five that had vegetarians, meat eaters, and food allergies, Mahalo accommodated everyone. This was our last dinner of a week in Casco Viejo…we saved the best for last!

You need to try the octopus is delicious!! Actually all the food is really nice, we try a lot of plates and share it and it was the greatest idea. The pizzas are also great and the Falafel bowl is a must. Please remember to try the desserts. The place Is beautiful and the service is excellent!

Beautiful decor and ambiance. Excellent pizza! 🍕 I came here twice in one week! I actually got the same thing both times: the fancy white pizza with cheese (including Brie), mushrooms, and truffle oil, and the order of mini chicken empanadas. If I came again, I might get the white pizza plus one of the other pizzas or appetizers. Prices are a bit high, but it’s because it’s a very nice restaurant in a fancy neighborhood.

This stunning little garden oasis was the best dining experience I had in Panama city! I kept going back because it really is a true gem. The food, the people, the vibe, the ambiance...it's my favourite place to eat and favourite place to be ❤️

It's such a beautiful restaurant with amazing tasting food. Their Califlower Tempura was exceptional. I also had the steak at medium rare, and it was such a wonderful experience. I would recommend it for lunch if you are in the area.

  • 4/5 Matt B. 11 months ago on Google
Ventured here for some lunch (and to avoid the crazy downpours outside) and was pleasantly surprised. Most people who were eating were tourists, staff were fairly attentive and friendly and the food arrived fairly quickly which was great. Only had a main meal, the Cajun shrimp salad, which was really tasty but I think my favourite thing was the smoothies. I tried pineapple, kale and apple I think, but it was really tasty and well worth the $5!
