we
found
ourselves
stranded
in
Colonia
late
at
night
due
to
a
last
minute
travel
delay.
thankfully
Fred,
the
B&B’s
host,
came
to
our
rescue,
swiftly
responding
to
our
phone
call
and
messages
(in
English
too)
to
secure
us
a
room
despite
our
late
night
enquiry.
we
made
our
way
over
and
came
to
realise
the
property
to
be
as
charming
and
colourful
as
the
owner
himself!
An
old
heritage
building
that
has
been
carefully
preserved
and
transformed
into
a
cosy
tastefully-furnished
4-bedroom
B&B
with
art
adorning
the
walls
including
some
of
Fred’s
paintings.
Our
apartment
on
the
second
floor
was
splendid,
with
a
comfortable
bed,
living
room
area
with
wonderful
coffee
table
books,
puzzles,
even
a
game
of
scrabble,
balcony
overlooking
the
street,
spacious
bathroom
where
we
enjoyed
a
really
nice
hot
shower,
small
kitchen
area
(with
a
microwave,
kettle,
coffee
and
tea),
the
place
kept
warm
and
toasty
with
an
AC
as
it’s
winter.
We
won’t
forget
Fred’s
warm
hospitality
and
only
wished
we
were
able
to
stay
longer.
