Tourist attraction Nature preserve

👍 Stopped here to hike up to Seaman Reservoir. Parking was $7 which is not bad for a park. There were a lot of picnic tables and open spaces to enjoy river flowing by. Didn’t realize there is no getting to the reservoir itself. You can hike to the top of the dam by no access down to the water. We back... People often mention area, trails,

Stopped here to hike up to Seaman Reservoir. Parking was $7 which is not bad for a park. There were a lot of picnic tables and open spaces to enjoy river flowing by. Didn’t realize there is no getting to the reservoir itself. You can hike to the top of the dam by no access down to the water. We backtracked and took the road that looked like it would get us to the reservoir but they had private property do not trespass signs everywhere unfortunately. Wished they had signs early in the walk advising no lake access. Otherwise we saw a lot of fly fishing going on.

This is a special little spot. It is a bummer that you have to pay an additional fee to get in the park. There are several short hikes that you can take, and there is good access to fly fishing on both forks of the Poudre river. This is also a great put-in spot when tubing the river.

This nature area is a hidden treasure. So beautiful, so peaceful, so many great things to do. Hiking trails pretty much anyone can do. Multiple areas of access to water and swimming spots. Picnic spots, shade, grass. This park has it all. We'll definitely be frequenting this park as often as possible

What a perfect place to spend the afternoon with the family, kids, your partner or just yourself. Some spots next to the river to relax, or picnic tables under the trees. Everything there was clean and well taken care of.

This tucked away nature area is beautiful. Gravel trails will wind you through sentence foothills with Mountain View’s. Wildlife is abundant and the deer were fascinating to watch. Compared some other trails/ nature areas this one is quiet and serene. The natural flowers stunning. I’d recommend this to anyone capable of stopping and seeing the beauty in the would.

A nice hiking area that's close to Fort Collins. The trails are pretty and easy to follow. The only downsides are the parking fee and there are some burned areas, that's common for most places though.

Amazing area for trails and hanging by the Poudre River. It was gorgeous!!! Lots of feldspar, quartz, and mica for the rock hounds! Quite literally a sanctuary of nature!

Absolutely beautiful hiking area. Well maintained, easy parking lot access, plenty of restrooms and picnic benches along the river. Be aware of your surroundings there are rattlesnakes in this area so keep your pups close.

We took a moderate hike to the summit and the view of the canyon was awesome. It was a nice short hike and the school age children complained a lot less than our recent hikes. The lawn and picnic areas were clean and welcoming. There were 4 outhouse/toilets provided with hand sanitizer.

I really enjoy hiking here because it has amazing views, and it's much less busy than other trails in the Fort Collins area. I recommend getting the parking pass through the Poudre Library.

Gateway Natural Area is incredible and the views are absolutely surreal. The trails are nicely maintained and the footpaths off of the main trail are well traveled so it’s nice to get the dogs down to the edge of the water for a drink. The elevation is good for walking on some of the hotter days as well. One of these days I’ll get around to getting my fishing license so I can accurately review the fishing. This is our second time visiting and won’t be our last.

This was a good experience! Peaceful and breathtaking. The color of the sky is just mesmerizing to watch while walking in the great outdoors. You can take your dog out for a walk and even catch some fish. The walk was relaxing and the afternoon timing was just perfect gor the wonderful peace and quiet artwork!
