We go to the Agricultural Center several times during their season. Any day you can visit the chickens, cows, pigs, sheep, goats and horses. We also enjoy the barn with the irrigation map, tractor, and other displays. The tour is also great for school age kids and is often catered to the audience. We also like to go on special event days. Some highlights for my kids are going on tractor rides, seeing different animals, making butter, learning about bees, making candles, and searching for the animals on the farm. Look forward to going many more times!

A great place to spend a couple of hours! It's run by the Boulder County Open Space division and one of their employees met us out front and took us through the 1909 built farmhouse that has been fully restored with period stoves, furniture and household items. Was very thorough in telling us about the history of the farm itself and the various owners. Then there's great things to see for the kids (or without kids) out on the farm itself. The two pigs performed well. They came out of their shelter and promptly went into the mud hole and appeared to have a great time rooting around. Brand new calf, miniature horses, goats, sheep and chickens and more! A great place that everyone of any age would enjoy!

This place has a lot of potencial to become a great tourist destination but it is very concern that on day that, it is 92 degrees, the animals have their water on a metal container under the sunlight. Who wants to drink hot water on a hot day?! Also Those animals look sad and the manager of the place not even care about us, we were taking the tour on our own and he just said: “we are closing in 20 minutes”. It looks like they don’t care about this place, the animals and the visitors.

This was a nice quiet alternative to the busy commercial pumpkin patches and farms this time of year. My preschool girls enjoyed chickens cows, donkeys, goats, and sheep, learning about farming practices through the years, and playing in the interactive exhibit set up in the barn. We ate a nice picnic lunch on one of the provided tables. Beautiful setting too. I rated this 5 stars because it was free and good for my younger kids. Not sure someone with older kids would rate it similarly.

Great working farm with classes for kids on various animal husbandry and environmental topics. There’s also pretty neat museum exhibits for kids on farming (past and present). Schools have field trips here so it can get somewhat crowded if you go at the same time.

Heart felt employees. The place was actually closed when I traveled there for the season but was preparing to open up a week later.

This is a great little farm to take kids to. My 1 yo & 2 yo loved it, but it would be great for older kiddos too. They have pigs, horses, cows, sheep, goats, & donkeys as well as some bee hives. There is an old farmhouse with period furnishings, an old barn to explore, & a big red barn with museum exhibits. There are picnic tables around the farm to enjoy a picnic lunch. The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, & great with the kids.

Great free fun activity for the whole family. Be sure to go inside the house! Plenty of learning and photo opportunities. Lots of cool activities for the kids! Being a picnic lunch and spend a couple hours here. You won't regret it!

We stopped on the weekend and had a really excellent visit. The staff on duty in the main house showed us around and gave us a lot of interesting information about the family that lived there in the different artifacts. The walk around the property was really fun—; there are lots of old farm tools and machines. The barns are beautiful. Seeing the animals was a real plus – – they’re awfully cute and sure to be a big hit with the kids. The highlight was catching an art installation in one of the smaller barns. I’ve included information about the artwork here.

What a great, engaging spot to learn about the past while considering how we affect the future. We’ll be back again - there’s so much to see!
