What a wonderful place to stay if you are in the area for hiking, skiing, or anything outdoors....or if you just happen to be need a place to stay in Leadville. My hiking buddy and I loved it. Location is great. Service was wonderful, and everything was clean. I wasn't sure what it would be like staying in a hostel but I loved the interaction with fellow backpackers. I'm a novice so it was good to learn a few tricks of the trade from the experts. I'd stay here again if I just needed a few days to relax and wasn't hiking. Can't wait to return.

Hands-down the best and most hiker-friendly hostel along the Colorado Trail. I hope this place is in business for a Loooong time. $35 for a bunk bed (before taxes) is an absolute steal for everything you get. Kent was working on the three nights I stayed there and he was extremely helpful and kind- even though I had many questions and the place was fully booked. The entire hostel has double or triple sized common areas that are well organized and allow people to connect and socialize in a beautiful way. The massive kitchen, always present pot of free coffee and giant dining room table make you feel like you are truly at home (with your hiker family). My bed was extremely comfortable and people were respectful of the quiet hours and other rules. Most everything you need is within walking distance and they offer bikes if it's not. Shelves of movies and books kept me entertained during the rainy days here. I would go back to Leadville just for the joy of staying at this awesome hostel again.

This hostel is wonderful! Kent showed us around to all of the amenities and shared rules with us. Private room was nice and quiet, the hostel was organized and clean, and overall just a great vibe for the price. Would recommend when coming to Leadville.

Perfect place to stay. Affordable. Plenty of parking just a minute away from Main Street. Room was comfortable and clean. Kitchen was amazing! We enjoyed being able to cook for ourselves in a spacious, fully set up kitchen. Peaceful place to catch our breath, refuel, do laundry and rest in between adventures. Even better, the staff was knowledgeable, super kind and helpful. We felt at home… would choose this over any hotel or air bnb every time!

Amazing inn and host, Kent. Owners are so lucky to have hired him! Great location to go hiking and Leadville is a very nice city too. Can't wait to go back next year for more days! (Murielle. Montréal)

Inn the Clouds was great. Good amenities and conveniences at a great price. One example of a clever idea - a little basket and plug next to each bunk bed to charge your phone and hold the phone/wallet/glasses/etc - very nice. Bathrooms were good and the kitchen was great. Having a nice big common living area to just hangout was also good.

I have stayed here on two occasions, and I love it as it is an affordable option to stay in Leadville. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and want to make your stay as comfortable as possible. On my first visit, I found my private room to be too cold (I get cold very easy), and they provided a space heater for me to use, which made it so much more comfortable. I was also pleased when upon my second visit 2 months later, they remembered me and that I would benefit from a space heater and arranged for it to be in my room. The private rooms in the large property are pretty small, but are comfortable. Looking forward to another visit in October!

This is a great hostel with a peaceful vibe. They always go above and beyond trying to help, even rehabbing some used trekking poles so my son and I could borrow them for Mt. Elbert! The place is clean and they have both dorm-style bunks as well as hotel-style rooms. I will definitely stay again!
