My favorite store in all of Sioux Falls! Only place to find Patagonia now in the area. Locally owned, great deals, and friendly service. They also have a lot of outdoors events throughout the year.

Love the store and the wide variety of super cute stuff. I just wish overall the women’s selection was more size inclusive. Maybe I just came at a bad time, but nearly every item I looked at had maybe one large and I found no x-large items that weren’t the 4 clearance items. We’re going on a week long trip at the end of the month to Colorado and I really wanted to get some items but couldn’t. I also don’t know if it’s my size or what, but not one person asked if I needed help finding anything. All the girls stood around talking and laughing. I was looking forward to checking out the store after reading all the great reviews. I hope more sizes are here next time I stop in because I love the store overall. For reference I’m a large/xl and a size 14/16, which is the most common size for women in the US.

Always love going to the Great Outdoor Store! Such fun stuff you didn't know you needed! And the staff are super friendly. It ain't cheap, but it's such great stuff!

Such an amazing outdoor store! We just happened to walk by it and were greeted by an excellent staff! We were helped by an awesome young lady as my wife was trying to find a new pair of hiking sandals. The young lady took so much care and time in helping us decide which pair to get and was so courteous in allowing us to finish our shopping just a few minutes after they closed for the night. Prices are very comparable to what we could find anywhere else, but the personal staff was what made it for me! The lady was also a perfect local to ask for where to get some local foods! Next time we’re in town we’ll stop by again! Thank you so much!!!

When I arrived at this store, I was immediately greeted with welcoming and helpful staff. In particular, Grant helped me find EXACTLY the climbing gear I needed for the type of climbing I do. On top of that, he was really knowledgeable on all of the available products, so it never felt like he was trying to sell me something but just inform me what was what. I really appreciated his help and was extremely satisfied with my purchase there. I hope more people will frequent this excellent store for outdoor goods as they are really top-tier.

In contrast to the review below— one of the coolest and most charismatic outdoor stores I’ve ever been in— coming from someone who used to manage one. Had three folks ask if I needed help without pestering, which is an art. The merchandising, layout, and store/building in general is absolutely beautiful, and well— a major feat with hard goods. Knowledgeable and incredibly friendly staff that helped me out in finding a a place to crash at my next road trip destination. Cheers guys.
