Holmdel Park is a beautiful well-kept park and has more than 10 miles of trails. You can run or walk on the gravel or paved path or venture in the woods on the dirt path to go hiking and enjoy nature. The trails are well known to cross country runners. It’s also a fun place to walk your dog and I met some dogs along the way and, of course, I had to take pictures of them. The Historic Longstreet Farm is from the late 19th century. I only saw two cows outside the barn while I was there. There’s something to do here for everyone or you can relax and have a picnic. It’s a fun way to spend the day with family and friends and perhaps learn some history along the way. Definitely will be coming back here. Fun Fact: The initial park land was established in 1962 and dedicated to the Citizens of Monmouth County in 1964.

Best trails in central Jersey, and really nice pull up bars and stretching stations. Dog friendly and great facilities.

So nice park! I loved the old house in the farm. So elegant! Beautiful park and playgrounds. They all are free! Cow milking was in 3 pm so we couldn't see it but enjoyed in the Amish farm! The lake is very beautiful!

We have been here before but hadn't really explored. We set out for a birdwatching evening with a naturalist from the Monmouth County Park System. What a fantastic location! We saw so many species of birds from mockingbird, catbird, red wing black bird and several more. The arboretum is so wonderful! Can't wait for my next visit!

I visited this area a few weeks ago. I love this park with its open space, picnic areas and trails BUT on a weekend during a pandemic, there was a lot of people, with the majority of them who weren't wearing masks. It also gets crowded on the main path which makes it harder to social distance. A few people did wear one and practiced social distancing which I was thankful for them being considerate and selflessness.

Versatile park that can meet the needs of different groups. This is a must-see for the cherry tree blossoms in the spring. There is a gated arboretum to walk around. The lake is home to wildlife. The various trails allow for customizable walks. There is a public restroom, but it is not always open. There is a farm where special events occur. There are playgrounds and athletic fields.

Great park to set up a picnic and spend the day at. Lots of things to do including biking, hiking, and walking. Lots of open field space to play soccer, football, or volleyball. There are also spots to play basketball. There’s many benches to sit at and great jungle gyms for kids. Lots of parking spots and friendly park rangers.

Excellent staff maintaining the grounds constantly. Walking paths, benches to rest and enjoy, exercise recommendations and stations for the adventurous athlete in you. Plenty of parking and when, on occasion it begins to fill; they are on hand to direct traffic to lots.

Monmouth country has taken pretty good care of this lovely preserve. And the kids can run for a long time here. Just across the street, Ramenissen preserve is a place you can ride bikes. DON'T RIDE YOUR BIKE AT HOLMDEL PARK

Love this park and it's hiking trails. One of the trails has fitness stations which provide a great workout. Plenty of bbq areas with grills and benches. If you want to have a gathering, they have a spot that you can reserve. Bathrooms are very clean and orderly. Playground has been updated with newer equipment.

My son runs the course here with his cross country team. The park is always immaculate. Restrooms are very well maintained. Overall the park is quite picturesque and Long Street Farm is an added bonus. I highly recommend visiting and definitely bring your camera!

Nice park. Has a lot to offer to just about everyone. However, when you take into account the many harmful tragedies that occur nowadays, it would be wise for those in charge to seriously consider placing security cameras throughout the grounds. Primarily the following areas; where people gather, the entrance/exit, the parking lots, the children's play areas, the paved walking path, etc. While covering all the acreage within the park perimeter is not feasible, there definitely are areas that warrant a heightened level of security. I'm sure those that visit the park would feel a greater sense of security that currently does not exist.

Lovely, especially in autumn. Well marked trails, fitness stops, plenty of parking, plenty of playgrounds, and open spaces. Many areas for picnics or barbecues, larger gathering spaces, intimate feel for when it's just you, or time for two. Photo ops galore. Very well kept, feels inviting, and is absolutely beautiful!

Holmdel Park is huge! There is so much room for picnics parties and family reunions as well as a great petting zoo. The old farm is really fun to walk through and the employees dress up in character and it’s very educational.

All rounder park, it is how I summarize this one. It has, Bar b que grills, picnic grounds with picnic tables, playgrounds for kids, hiking trails, farms and historical museum, an arboterum, a lake. It has beautiful variety of trees in Springs it is worth visiting. Its little farm has cows, sheep, chicken, pig and horses in stable. If you are interested history they have this beautiful century old house which has gorgeous furniture and lovely interior. It is must visit park in South Jersey.

Love this park year round. Running and hiking trails, streams, animals, the farm and so many other things to do. Bring the family and have a BBQ or picnic. Play on the several playgrounds or sit by the pond. Fire place inside the main visitor center in winter. Always an enjoyable experience.

Holmdel park has a bit of everything. Multiple parking spots. Bathrooms are in each lot (or most of them). When it comes to activities its famous for “the bowl” which is the crux of the longer trail and the cross country run. The trails are walkable and runnable, can be shorter or longer based on your preferences. Very nice views throughout the park and places to relax/picnic. I see pets here and there so it seems like a good park for that. If you are around the area you will enjoy it.

We come here every year for opening day trout and it's a stunning park. Gorgeous grounds, beautiful farm with animal access, clean facilities and huge playground. We haven't even begun to explore all it has to offer. There's always people going for walks or meeting a photographer for a photo shoot. Whether a quick walk around the lake or pack a lunch and spend the day you won't be disappointed.

It’s a big park with good and reasonably challenging trail with plenty of pit stops. Kids have plenty of room to play. Their are 2 play areas so it helps when it gets a little crowded. Plenty of room for outdoor sport like soccer or even bicycle.

Beautiful park with lush foliage & natural wetlands. Wide paths for walking/hiking, and exercise guide boards along the way. Lots of parking, plenty of shade, great picnic spaces, playgrounds for kids, and some kind of museum (looked like a rustic farm).

Something does not feel right about this park. I was with my kids at the play area on the hill top section. The slides are made from a plastic.... but as my kids were using the slides.. literally every time as I was touching the slide, the hair on my whole arm literally stuck up like when touching a static electricity ball (science experiments) which makes your hair stick up. It was really freaky.

There's an abandoned Nike missile base somewhere on the grounds of this park. I want there several times in August 2020 while I was patient at Discovery Institute.

Huge park, with extensive trails. Longstreet Farm, a working 18th century farm, is also there. Well maintained grounds, heated facilities, and a lovely interpretive center at the farm, and an arboretum, make this an excellent visit. And all free.

This is one of my fave parks in NJ. I love the trails and the varying environments they take you through. One of my fave areas is the arboretum! Last week we walked trails and it was the first time I'd been there in the winter. So nice I decided to make the 25 minute drive again! This time o discovered trails I never knew existed! We love the wide open field by the middle parking lot. Great for frisbee! It's absolutely GORGEOUS in spring summer and fall!!
