Our
family
was
in
the
mood
for
tacos
so
we
headed
for
Torchy’s,
but
the
line
was
too
long,
the
music
was
too
loud
and
the
place
too
dark.
We
got
out
and
headed
to
Wahoo’s.
Best
decision
ever.
I
had
been
to
Wahoos
in
Santa
Monica,
CA
and
had
fond
memories
but
had
not
been
back
for
15
years.
Here
in
Colorado,
the
experience
was
recreated
perfectly.
Let’s
start
with
the
chicken
taquitos,
perfect
beginning!
Crispy
with
fresh
cream,
guacamole
and
salsa.
Let’s
continue
with
my
son’s
burrito:
the
carne
asada
was
perfectly
seasoned
and
it
filled
my
growing
teen.
I
had
the
ceviche
tostadas
which
could
have
used
a
bit
more
protein
but
since
I
had
devoured
the
chicken
taquitos
first,
were
a
good
balance.
The
husband
had
an
assortment
of
tacos,
fish,
shrimp
and
carnitas
and
he
was
supposed
to
share,
but
didn’t,
which
speaks
about
the
quality
of
the
food
(and
maybe
about
his
husband’s
quality
as
well).
We
paired
everything
with
a
classic
margarita.
They
made
it
faster
than
my
son
pouring
his
lemonade
from
the
fountain,
so
my
hopes
were
not
too
high.
But
the
server
explained
they
make
it
fresh
in
house
with
a
combination
of
tequila
and
rum,
and
sure
enough,
it
did
not
disappoint!
We
proceeded
to
the
salsa
bar
and
tried
every
single
one
of
them.
The
chipotle
one
was
extra
flavorful,
the
Maria’s
salsa
was
creamy
and
sweet,
the
green
one
was
refreshing
and
perfect
for
the
fish
tacos
and
the
spicy
one…
let’s
say
I’ll
feel
it
again
tomorrow.
Everything
was
delicious,
fresh
and
home
made.
We
also
discovered
that
on
Thursdays,
kids
12
and
under
eat
free.
So
we
will
be
back!
