Overpriced, unfinished sloppy construction, understaffed, limited sparce service. Their "gym" is just a treadmill and an elliptical machine placed in the hall facing a window. Trash shoot is undersized for any regular trashbag. No celling is installed, just exposed concrete, no floor trim, small closet with exposed concrete pillar occupying majority of closet space. Poor insulation, can hear every street sound & every neighboring undergraduate college kids embarrassing attempts at discovering themselves. Box shipments will be held at the leasing office for weeks, very difficult to retrive in their short hours of operation. Not for working proffesionals or families. An oversized unkempt unstaffed dorm is probably the best way describe. Place looks really nice from the street though. A modern potemkin village.

Beware of fake reviews on this property (i.e. "Mr Awesome" who reviewed two different buildings at the same time, obviously an account created by the developer/management/whoever has interests in the property).

BEWARE, they will not give you your security deposit back. They demand a $500 security deposit with application fee. They state that the application fee will not be refunded but they also will not refund the security deposit if you don't cancel within 24 hours. The purpose of a security deposit is to cover damages or missed rent when you rent an apartment, they are withholding it without having even rented an apartment. I am sure if this is how they treat applications, if you decide to do business with them it can only go downhill from there. Good luck and find another rental company.

You get running water occasionally and the elevator works sometimes too. Staff is friendly

Uptown apartments is an excellent place to live in and call it home. The management is very responsive, the staff friendly and the decor and cleanliness extremely well maintained. No pests at all - ever! The staff are like family and will come to your rescue when you need it. We lived there for 4-5 yrs and enjoyed every minute of it. I would highly recommend this complex if someone wants to stay close to the hospital (UH or Cleveland Clinic or the VA) or be in the center of the CWRU campus.

Lived there for two years and this is literally the worst apartment that I have lived my entire life. The leasing office is not helpful at all with noise concerns and they become extremely rude when they know when you calls 911 about the noise. I would give this place a 0 if that's an option. DO NOT CHOSE THIS PLACE!!!

DO NOT MOVE HERE if you appreciate quietness in your own room at all. Paper-thin walls and there's absolutely no sound proofing. Good chance of having neighbors who are CIM college kids who practice non-stopping for 10+ hours a day. Leasing office is absolutely not helpful when it comes to noise complaints. They are not worried about getting renters and certainly do not care about any current residents!!!

I recently finalized signing my lease at Uptown. Rachel made the process easy and efficient, and was quick to respond to all of my questions with kindness. As mentioned in some of the comments, there is an application fee and a holding fee for an apartment. Overall I am satisfied with my experience thus far and will update my review as time goes on.
