Flavorful seafood selections. Their smoke salmon on the Cesar salad is out is this world. Their potato skins are very delicious. Nice fast friendly service. The bartenders are quick and nice mixers. Decent prices. Convenient parking lot walking distance from the restaurant.

Great lunch spot in Bexley! Food and service are always awesome. Hard to beat the Friday lunch special of a double cheeseburger, side, and adult beverage for $11.

GOOD FOOD BUT OLD BUILDING let me just say the food here is so good. The right seasoning and good portion. What I don’t appreciate is the smell of this place and how old it looks inside. I do think this place has been open for a long time so maybe it time they remodel or renovate it. MY ONLY ADVICE IS TO CALL IN AND HAVE YOUR FOOD TO GO AT THIS LOCATION. Which is the best things since their food is good. I have tried their fish and shrimp which was a 10/10 for me. Fish tacos 10/10 as it was a little burned since their waiter said it good when the fish is like that and I totally agreed. I also had their Philly steak which was 4/10 to my liking. It was missing the flavor and seasoning but as far as other food. Their salad is okay super basic 😭fries were fluffy and good 🙂. Overall People really seemed to enjoy their meal. FOOD DOES TAKE A WHILE TO COME OUT. We waited for our food for a while which I wasn’t happy about. In the future, I will be going to others location.

Was a beautiful afternoon and this place got the spot perfectly. Our waiter was on point, food was delicious and the outdoor area on such a beautiful day was just spot on perfect!

Great food, friendly servers, and huge portion sizes! There aren’t a lot of vegetarian options here for their mains, but I got the nacho appetizer (meatless) as a main with a small side salad, and it was a ton of food! The side salad was fresh romaine, with cheddar, carrots and a nice vinaigrette, and the nachos were loaded black beans, salsa, cheese and jalapeños. Definitely a step above standard pub fare!

Go-to neighborhood place. Food quality and price are always good. That being said, service can be hit or miss. Looks really nice after the renovations.

This was my first time at this location and I was t disappointed at all. We were greeted, seated and served so quickly. All the food came out hot and correctly. Pricing was exact to quality and the server checked on us multiple times. Two thumbs up!

The food was pretty lacking - the burger was so well done that it was difficult to eat. They forgot one soup, the side of one of the entree's, and our second round of beers, that we ordered before food, came out after we got our check. The waiter was very friendly and kind. He even took off the late beers. Cool atmosphere sitting outside by the water, but I don't think it'll make up for the bad food.

We ordered the Fish and Chips basket and when we received our food the fish was soggy and not hot. I really like Old Bag Of Nails Fish and Chips basket but for some reason, this evening it wasn't all that great.

We took our 3 year old grandson and met my sister at the Franklin Park Conservatory last Thursday (4-7-2022). After our visit we all went to the Old bag of nails pub! The food and service was excellent!! Sadly enough, I do not remember the gentleman's name but he was a young black man. If he sees this review, I hope it makes his day! We are from Athens and we liked this food so well that we are bringing some friends to lunch there in the next two weeks! Thank you! The cod was fantastic, it was the best fish we have had in years~ don't change anything!! See you soon!

Not being from the area, was looking forward to some good pub food. The pretzel with beer cheese dip was mediocre at best. Barely room temperature for both. I got the shrimp and fish basket. That was pretty good. However my fries were definitely on the extra crispy side. Almost burnt. Cole slaw tastes like a pre-made item from the grocery store. By boyfriend got the wedge salad with Cajun salmon. He did say he enjoyed that. His French onion soup was nothing to be desired. Now to the service: Not so good. We got seated right away. Almost empty restaurant. Lunch time. I requested a both. We were in the bar. Fine. Took Almost 5 minutes to get greeted. We got drink then right away. After that........ um..... 2 servers were sitting/standing at a table behind us eating....still nothing...... about 10 minutes went by and finally a different server came over. She must have been new. Seemed un sure of a lot of things. (That's fine) Our room temperature pretzel came out, then 3 minutes later ALL of out food came out. No room for anything. Or to try and enjoy our appetizer. True the experience could have been worse. However it should've been much better.

I've lived down the street from this restaurant for over a year now and I finally went here for dinner! We went on a Wednesday around 6 pm and there wasn't a wait. The patio was full so we sat inside at one of the high tops. I think the restaurant itself was renovated recently and it looks really nice on the inside! Unfortunately I didn't get many photos while I was there but I could tell it had been updated. We didn't have to wait long for our waitress to greet us and get our drink orders. The wait for the food didn't take too long either, maybe 15-20 minutes. My order came out incorrect (I ordered onion rings and I was given fries). I let the waitress know and she put in the correct order. Then, the onion rings were brought out and the honey mustard sauce was missing lol. Overall, the food was fairly good. My husband and my mom enjoyed what they ordered but weren't overly impressed. I wanted to order the milkshake for dessert but they were out of ice cream. 😐 Other than the food, there was a small group of people with a child who was yelling, running circles around the restaurant, and walking all over the booths and tables (where they were not sitting). This was rather annoying and shocking that none of the employees asked the mother to restrain her child. My mom noticed that a couple was seated at a table where the little girl was walking on the table and no one wiped it down before they sat down. 😬 Honestly, the chaos that ensued there is what knocked down my experience. Personally, I don't know if I'll go back because letting a kid walk on the table and not wipe it down before someone sat there is just not my cup of tea.

There were PLENTY of flying bugs (gnats and flies) inside the restaurant. We had to request a redo of an order because it didn't taste fresh. Water was not refilled until we asked.

We sat outside next to the water feature and it was absolutely beautiful. The food was well prepared, large portions and our server was incredible---even bringing dessert for a guest in our party who was celebrating their birthday. Will definitely be back when we return to Ohio.

Sat on the patio for dinner with family. Had the fish sandwich with steak fries! Terrific service from Jewels. She treated us well. Beautiful evening.

Haven't been here in a while, but glad my mother talked me into it! Got the fish sandwich with fries. The fish was crispy on the outside & flakey in the middle. You get a choice of steak fries or thin fries. They even have the malt vinegar my Dad used to love.

The food was really good. The fish was delicious and the Philly Steak was good as well. My issue is that I ordered a $9 slice of chocolate cake that I never got. For the amount I paid my order should be triple checked. If I come back I'll update my rating but this was very disappointing.

I wanted fish tacos because me and my dad would always eat there every Father's Day before he passed this passed February. The tacos had fish sticks instead of fried fish and a runny sauce that soggied my tacos. Very disappointing.

Going to the old bag of nails was pleasant. Have not been in a long time. The place was pretty full with some big parties. Our server did a nice job taking care of us and our food was what we expected. I have to say, I recall the fish and chips being bigger. Will go back.

Food was excellent!! Service was even better! Jig was our server, the best server I’ve ever had the pleasure of dining with.. he was hilarious, accommodating, and went above and beyond for each guest I witnessed him encounter!

Food was fine and the attention was very friendly. However, despite we were very clear to ask for gluten free options, the waiter told us wrong recommendations with gluten. We luckily recognized the food and asked too just have fries. The fries must have been also cross contaminated because we had stomach aches all night. Food allergy is very serious and every restaurant should train their workers accordingly. I hope this message gets to all gluten allergic costumers. Don't risk it. For the rest of mortals, yes eat here. Food is fine.

Wonderful experience. The host and server epitomized the concept of hospitality. Food was excellent. Interesting to hear Latin hip hop in an Irish pub.

My employer at Right Way Driving School chose this location for our Christmas 🎄 party and school anniversary. It was a perfect chose for a beautiful evening. The food was awesome and our server was a bundle of holiday cheer and a personality to die for, he was a breath of fresh air. I definitely will be back.

Decided we needed to have a change of pace and went to Old Bag of Nails on Nelson Road. Greeted right away and seated. Our server was Maujaurah., this was the most polite, excited person I’ve met in a long. Exudes happiness to everyone. So excited when I asked for a picture, he insisted on taking a selfie with me. Who does that? On to the meal. You go to Old Bag for fish, duh!!!! The fish was cooked fresh, Yummmy stuff. Fries were freshly cooked. Coleslaw was delicious. You can’t every go wrong ordering the fish. Some of the best in town. This time service was King though. Great Job

Love the traditional and Eddie style fried fish. Received 5 star service. We were advised that a few items are unavailable due to supply chain issues. The food and atmosphere are fabulous!

I only enjoy extra crispy fish. I requested extra crispy fish but the batter was soggy, wet and fell off the fish.

While the bartender was friendly and attentive, the food was not nearly as good as I'd heard. I was told this is the best fish & chips in Columbus. The fish itself was decent, but the "chips" were just lackluster fries. That's half the meal. You can't slack on that. If they get proper chips I might go back.

Went for a Sunday lunch after the bike trail close by. Was excited to try a new location because we normally visit their Mason and Centerville OH locations. Mason and Centerville Old Bag of Nails are WAY BETTER! From draft beer selection to background music and service. This location only has a few craft draft beers and they were out of three of them. The waiter had no idea what draft beers they had available- only the brand. Games on TV wise, there was only one NFL game showing that day.

This restaurant is amazing! It has delicious food for super great prices!

Ordering takeout is impossible. I tried a month ago to order by phone at 8:30 and no one answered the phone. I just ordered online at 7:00pm and 40 mins later, as my husband is pulling in the parking lot, I get an email saying they canceled my order because they were closed. Online it says they close at 10. Wth? I’m sure you’ll say you’re understaffed. If that’s the case, you don’t have an answering machine to let people know? And how about shutting down online ordering? Moral of the story, don’t bother ordering online. You won’t even know if they’re open until the order is canceled until 40 minutes later.
