Service was great! Food was mediocre (maybe I just didnt eat the right thing). Wait staff was great. We were well taken care and attended to. Staff was friendly and polite. The food however was just okay. I had the asado pork sandwich which on the menu sounded great and I think it could be. But the meat was flavorless. It tasted like boiled pork with no spices. Didnt even taste salty it was just bland. Other food that was coming out looked great though. The press burger and the pizzas looked good. So I think I'll have to come back and try something different next time. Solid place though. Great prices and service. On the whole not a bad place to go to. Good seating and looks like a good spot during the summer for some patio and outdoor seating.

Ya, this is a bar, and they do serve food, but Press Pub’s food is much better than your typical bar food. Everything we had was fresh, of high quality, and made to order; and not pre-made and heated up.

It was my first time coming here and I must say the service is absolutely horrible and the food wasn’t much better. Ordered a steak medium rare and it came out WELL. The server, an older lady, seemed annoyed the entire time and was clearly inconvenienced by us being there. So, 1 star is an overstatement. I’d actually give it 0 stars if I could. This place is definitely worth avoiding. There’s plenty of other places to eat with better food and much much better service in the same area. Absolutely horrible experience. Avoid if possible!

Went for a terrific, quality entree during lunch hour. I have been missing from Press Pub lunches. I was happy that service from all the waiters was very prompt and warm. Cleanly adorned on the inside. I welcomed the Turkey Rachel - a griddled pumpernickel based smoked turkey with flavorful Swiss and some mayonnaise. It was a tad lightweight but packed with meat, so a worthwhile serving. I complimented with a side of Yukon gold potatoe salad, an absolute delectable flavor. I'll be visiting back soon for the BBQ meatloaf sandwich.

Food is mediocre to pleasant, but the atmosphere and service leave something to be desired. Geniuenly it is more quiet and comfortable to sit on their patio with the traffic of 5th Avenue driving past. Everytime I've been here it has attracted the noisiest, most obnoxious patrons who believe that a conversation must be held by vociferous quorum - yelling, cackling, screaming to be heard no matter the subject matter. And the servers seem to have been addled by the noise. Unsmiling and dispassionate, usually giving no time to review menus, or even get settled once seated. A measly 6 onion rings cost $9, with a watery ranch that tasted sour and unsatisfying.

I was pleasantly surprised at the excellent food and service. Starting with the hostess Tessa. Not only was she friendly but very knowledgeable of the food and drink menus. Her beautiful smile and pleasant personality is an added plus to this fine establishment

Driving by this place a minute ago, my friend said I should try it, and he reminded of my 2 experiences here a couple of years ago. The second time I went was for take out. They sent me home with a bloody, half frozen meatloaf sandwich. No hyperbole. It was icy and there was blood pooled up in the container. They refused a refund. First time I went here I never actually got served. I got up and left after waiting 15 minutes for a server to come to my table. I felt leaving was justified considering the fact that I was the only customer in the dining room and there were 5 servers standing around talking. Hand to God, that's what happened the only 2 times I ever set foot in this place. Maybe the place shaped up its act and is awesome now, who knows? Some stories are so outrageous they just need to be shared.

Great atmosphere, great service and very neat restaurant. The turkey sandwich was delicious, very juicy and very generous with the turkey portion. The cottage fries were very fresh and tasty.

OMG! I have found a new favorite gastro pub. The menu is great...lots of well crafted choices. I had the shrimp poboy. Wonderful tender, lightly breaded fried shrimp on a delicious sauce on a very fresh sub bun. The side of coleslaw was outstanding. For beverages, the list is overwhelming. More than 60 different bourbons alone, plus many rye, scotch and Irish whiskeys. You cannot go wrong here.

I ordered a single old fashioned and was charged $16.50 for it. Thats a price you wouldn’t even pay for a really nice drink at a craft cocktail bar. The drink was not even that good. Was really syrupy and over sweet. I called to ask the manager about it assuming I was double charged and was told they could do nothing about it and the price was correct. I told him I wasn’t informed it would be an almost $20 drink and he told me next time I come in I should just ask how much it is. I understand but, assumed that a simple old fashioned wouldn’t cost almost $20. Definitely not coming back after that. The service was pretty poor as well.

Didn't even get seated, it was very loud and was way too open, it felt like a pole barn with tables in it. I was expecting something a little more cozy. Sorry, but it didn't impress me for the time we spent standing there. Hostess was not very good.

Good place for a burger and a cocktail. Prices are comparable to other similar places. It was really busy and short-handed. Our server was excellent and attentive even though it was busy.

First time guest... The servers were great. The food was fresh & delicious. The housemate ranch is scrumptious! And I'll definitely be back to try new things!

Our first time here. Everything was great. The food was delicious. And hefty portions. We sat outside. It was a nice patio area. Service was great. One of the best club sandwiches I've had. We'll definitely be back.

Our togo order was perfect, the Bartender checked every box to make sure it was right, and assured me that there was the correct amount of Bleu cheese dressing with my wings. We will definitely be back

One of my go to places to eat. Never had a bad meal or bad service. They have an extensive beer selection as well. My go to on the menu are the original pizza, press burger & loaded cottage fries

A great place to grab a bite, the press Burger was outstanding and the side of wedge fries were seasoned perfectly, no condiments needed. Guinness on tap was delicious, and they have a very well rounded collection of scotches and whiskeys to choose from.. Bartenders were on point and crossed every T & dotted every I. I think this location was set up very well, the way they utilized the space by having the bar on the back left next to the kitchen was nice you could even watch the cooks making your food if desired to.

I arrived at noon for lunch to find only one parking spot left as the parking lot is shared with CVS. However, surprisingly, there were plenty of available seats and we were seated immediately. It happened to be "Taco Wednesday," so I decided to try both their burger and tacos. I ordered the press burger with fried egg, and bacon, along with a ground beef taco and a chicken taco. The burger was delicious, although they accidentally added mayo which wasn't my preference. I ate the burger with no bottom bun. The beef taco was definitely better than the chicken taco in terms of taste and flavor. I will definitely be back!

Always a great evening when you sit on the patio! The atmosphere inside is also cool. It has a pub vibe. I have been here tens of times since 2020 and the service has been excellent. Regular drink checks, very patient if you want to have a few drinks before ordering food, and always very friendly. I have likely tried everything on the menu and have never been disappointed. The food is prepared when you order, it is fresh, and always tastes great.

Bartender knows their drinks, always a plus. Friendly staff and good food. Had calamari and club on texas toast with a fried egg on top. Mainly cuz their Press Burger comes with egg and I thought it would be good. I was right, not disappointed.

This place is great. I make it there at least once a week. Anybody who doesn't love the food is missing something -- it is incredible. The salmon sandwich is fantastic. We look forward to Thanksgiving dinner every Thursday where the stuffing is to die for. The pizza's are unique. The service is super and very friendly. Never had a bad meal. Anybody who hasn't been there is missing something.

A huge list of drinks and a full bar. We didn't end up eating anything but everyone had good drinks and the service was slow at times but still good. There is a small parking lot out front which is nice and convenient. Definitely check this place out

Went to Press Pub over the weekend with some friends. Atmosphere is great! The dining room and bar still look brand new. The food was delicious and the service was top notch. If you stop in, make sure to ask about the specials that aren't on the menu. Had the brisket sandwich and was very impressed. Definitely going back again soon.

Had a great beer and cheeseburger at this restaurant with family in town. Nice atmosphere and quality, interesting menu. Parking can be a tricky game, but other than that, no complaints and only compliments.

Press Pub on Grandview consistently delivers good food, as well as Truly Value-oriented and outstanding specials every night of the week. You have a choice of eating outside (in the shade) or inside, where the chairs might feel a little "stiff", but the air conditioning (or heat) more than overcomes any discomfort. The service is snappy, the wedge salads is one of my favorites (reminiscent of the old Kuenings salad out east if you are old enough to remember Kuenings!). The Press Club is always a good (and popular) choice for good food that won't break the bank!

Great food, great service, reasonable prices. We were there a little past the dinner hour, but it was a lot less busy than I'd expect given the quality.

Never had a bad experience this place has become a staple in my weekly routine. The calamari salmon sandwich cottage fries are the best!! Best ranch dressing and the staff are amazing they give the best recommendations and are so friendly. I look forward to coming here more in the future.

No dedicated GF foods or fryers, but good service and great drink selection. This place looks fancier from the outside than it is. It's pretty chill. Very casual clothing is acceptable. Nice patio when it's open.

I've been here a number of times and am always stratified with my meal. I do have a preference for the Press Grill in the short north because the atmosphere is a bit better despite being on top of your neighbors. As for the Pub, the lunch rush has the place mostly full, but we were still able to get a table right away. Our server was on top of things. The open plan is noisy, and it has a "cold" feeling to me. It's not bad, but I almost want to put on an extra layer half the year when I go there. The food is worth it too. My friend had the taco special and loved it. I went with one of my go tos, the meatloaf sandwich and a side of wedges. This is worth a visit, and has a menu that's beyond basic Americana.

Press has some of the best food in Grandview and has consistently delivered when we've gone. Their wings and sandwiches are great. Overall a great selection of craft beers and all at pretty solid prices. The service we've had on the patio and sitting at the bar has been great.

Always a nice experience at Press - great service and clean restaurant. I've dined in and carried more than a few times because I like the variety and value of their menu. I would definitely recommend to a friend.

I ha e been many times. This last time was the best yet! The loaded cottage fries FINALLY had some cooking spray on the foil! I have been suggesting that for some time! They were prepared very well and were the best batch we've ever received. Also one of the few kid friendly places in the Grandview area believe it or not.

  • 5/5 Jennie K. 2 years ago on Google
I don't know how but they made their already phenomenal mac and cheese even better. Also that brisket sandwich is straight fire.

We ordered take-out. The staff were super friendly! The food seems to be hot or miss. I got the turkey rachel and a side of mac. Both were good. The other two folks, one ordered a salad and the other ordered a steak, seemed less impressed with their meal. I think if I went back, it’d be for drinks maybe. Place had a cool vibe. Probably wouldn’t order food unless it was appetizers.
