As divey of a bar as you can find. This hidden gem offers draft beer, canned seltzers, and any cocktail you can think of at a reasonable price. They have two pool tables, a few arcade games, and a dart board. The real prize is the pizza. They have a small kitchen in the back that makes the BEST deep dish pizza, bar none. Thin crust pies and subs are also available. Allow plenty of time on busy nights for them to make it.

Really cool atmosphere inside, although I only went for carry out pizza. I heard a lot of great things about their deep dish, as well as the Buffalo chicken cheesy garlic bread being a must order. I respect the cult following, but the food is just not my thing. The pizza and garlic bread just had way too much cheese for my liking. I’ve been to chicago several times and enjoy chicago style deep dish pizza. Perhaps the sauce and crust didn’t have enough flavor to prevent the cheese from being the star of the show, but every bite I took just ended up being try to chew through a mouthful of cheese. It also didn’t have a great cheese pull no matter how much more I baked it. It was like a layer of thick string cheese. The people there are super nice and I appreciate that people love it, and I’m totally aware that it’s a pizza place inside a bar. But it was like 45 dollars and it just wasn’t for me. I suggest everyone try it for themselves and who knows, maybe it’ll be your favorite.

I love the deep dish pizza here. There will be a bit of a wait, usually 30 to 45 minutes but it's worth it. They have some zesty sauce too, a little spicy but not overbearing and make the pizza even better.

A true dive bar on the edge of Grandview a few blocks from Lane Ave. Filled with day drinking 20 something year olds, getting hammered playing pool and having loud conversations on the front porch. You order food in the back of the bar and it looks like it's run by 1 person with only a few ovens. Stopped in here on a Saturday afternoon to try their pizza since Google reviews indicated it should be some of the best around. Was not disappointed, so kudos to the cook. Ordered a large Traditional White Meister with mushrooms, a large Pepperoni Deep Dish, and an order of Pepperoni Meister bites. All of that cost $48, fair price for how good the food was. Their traditional is basically hand tossed, ample toppings, good sauce, good cheese. The deep dish is not Chicago style (it's not stuffed) it's more of a hybrid between a really deep Pan Pizza and Chicago style. The sauce is on top of the cheese and toppings, not below. Tons of cheese and the sauce is wonderful - has a little spice to it. The crust is crunchy, buttery, garlicky and excellent. The Meister bites were ok, nothing special. It's kind of a thin dough with pepperoni and cheese inside, with sauce on the side. Overall the pizza is a 4.8, Meister bites a 4.2. since Google doesn't allow decimal reviews and because of how good the pizza was for the price, I rounded up to a 5.

Grouchy bartender!!!!! I understand this is a beer bar but it was very evident that the bartender did not want me or the person that I was at the establishment with, And neither of us wanted beer. Very disappointing since half my last name is Meister. When I asked the bartender if his last name was Meister he just grumbled at me nope and walked off nothing friendly about this bar. I guess unless you're a local continuous patron that only drinks beer. BOOO, will never return.

The dive-iest of dive bars. Accidentally stumbled into this place while trying to kill some time before an errand, and I’m glad I did. The parking seemed a little tight, but it was my first time in the area, so that might be par for the course. The atmosphere and service were both absolutely incredible. If sports are your thing, then you’re probably not going to have any issue catching what you want to see. In addition to the TVs, there’s a few pool tables, darts, and a pinball machine for entertainment. The drink specials are wild! $1 beer cans on Thursdays? In 2023? The year of our lord??? Unheard of! I kept hearing that the deep dish pizza here is the best in the city, but unfortunately, I didn’t have time to try it. I’m looking forward to making the trek back again to give it a go, though.

First stumbled upon Meisters back in 2019 when my fiancée and I were looking for a good pizza place open late on a Saturday in Grandview after a long day snowboarding and we’ve been coming back ever since! Also a great post-Bouldering activity as Chambers Purely Boulders is right across the street. Delicious pizza, great beer options, awesome atmosphere, and friendly stuff. Truly a hidden gem in Grandview. PS: Get pepperoni, sausage, and jalapeño on a regular crust or deep deep dish pizza, you will not be disappointed.

Used to be a regular but will NEVER return after the way I was treated last night on January 17, 2022. Came in and had some drinks. The bartended had a bad attitude from the beginning. Then, when I tried to get his attention to get another beer while he was talking to his friends he literally snapped at me "that he was having a conversation" and slammed my beer down. It made me and everyone there uncomfortable. Talked to other patron at the night who said they found his behavior terrible and hated the nights he worked and avoided them.

You wouldn't think you'd find deep dish pizza at the back of a german-themed bar, but here we are. The pictures don't really do it justice, it's delicious and amazing. Just make sure you protect the box at all costs or you'll end up with sauce piled up on one side and then you gotta redistribute the goodness. Also, don't sleep on the buffalo chicken cheesy bread. The pizza was great, don't get me wrong, but the buffalo chicken cheesy bread was RIDICULOUS.

This was our first time, and had great experience. We went for the deep dish pizza, which was every good. The bartender was very friendly. I would call this an old hole in the wall bar. We will definitely go back.

We ordered the deep dish classic. Good tasting pizza. It didn't look quite like the picture in the article written about them online, but still tasted good.

OMG... Best damn deep dish pizza in all of Ohio! Seriously the best. ...and the cheesy garlic bread n marinara - to die for! Servers were very friendly and attentive. Happily tipped them the servers as they earned it. Seriously, best deep dish pizza ever. Will definitely go back just for the pizza. Move over Mikey's Late Night Slice, I have found a new love. Why are you still reading this??? ...just order a pep n cheese deep dish already! Grab a craft beer & Woodford's Reserve, find a seat, and get ready to enjoy the best slice of pie you'll ever have. It's gonna make you crave it fortnightly.

Friendly bartenders. Greg is awesome. GREAT place to watch football. If you don't mind tight quarters and passionate fans. Play pool, eat some za, jam out to some old school and just enjoy.

Worst customer service they love selling deep dish pizza that look like burnt grill cheese no one would actually give a pizza so burnt you couldn't eat yet had no problem selling us one unbelievable

Chill dive bar, great food. I love love love their cheesy bread. It’s basically the size of a pizza with a sweet marina sauce for dipping.

THE bar to be at. This Grandview staple is always a good time. The bartenders are colorful and knowledgeable and pour some of the best shots money can buy. The crowd can be rowdy but always fun. The pizza is unreal and only matched by the buffalo chicken bread. If you peruse the negative reviews it quickly becomes clear that Meisters is not a place intended for those people and shouldn't be.

the best dive in Columbus. $1 beer cans Thursdays and dirt cheap basically any other time. pool, darts, touch tunes - heaven on earth.

Deep dish was absolutely amazing!!! The regular crust was just OK... Maybe a bit too much cheese. The bar itself is a fantastic old school joint!!!

Are you looking for the classic bar atmosphere with pool and darts? How about a late night slice? What about that late night slice being the best pizza in town with something you have probably never seen before..... SAUCE ON TOP! That's right. All of your key ingredients followed by cheese followed by sauce on top! This deep dish pizza is so deep you may need a ladder to get yourself out. Enjoy and thank you Meister's!

Quirky local dive that has been around for decades. Campus Partners didn't tear out all the local dives... Yet.

I've been here several times. This last time was the busiest I've ever seen it! Found out at the time of this review that Thursdays are $1 beer nights. We don't drink so that didn't matter. We went for the pizza. Oh, the pizza! It's oooohhhh sooooo good!!! At the time of this review, the deep dish is $25 for a 1 topping. This time we went with banana peppers. It takes roughly 30 minutes for the pizza. Was planning on playing some pool as we waited, but that didn't happen because there were so many folks. It was pretty loud with the music playing. Every time there has been a good amount of pop punk playing from the jukebox, this time was no expectation. Patrons ranged from young college kids to older adults in possibly their early 70s. I'm glad they were busy so they can make that money, but hopefully next time, there won't be as many folks so we can get in at least 1 game of pool
