Was visiting back from Chicago with my Boyfriend and had a bad craving for chips and salsa. If you're in Columbus, Ohio and craving a taste of Mexico, look no further than Local Cantina! I recently had the pleasure of dining at this vibrant spot, where my taste buds were taken on a tantalizing journey. But what made the experience truly special was knowing that Olivia and the staff, worked SO hard to make sure we had a good experience! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The colorful decor and lively music immediately set the tone for a fun and enjoyable meal. The menu was a delightful array of traditional Mexican dishes with a modern twist, offering something for everyone. Starting with appetizers, the guacamole was a standout. Creamy, fresh, and perfectly seasoned, it was the ideal companion to the crispy tortilla chips. The street corn, with its charred sweetness and tangy crema, was a crowd-pleaser that transported my taste buds to the bustling streets of Mexico City. For the main course, I opted for the tacos. (Of course) The Tempura shrimp is my new FAVORITE. (Thanks Olivia) To complement the meal, the margaritas were a must-try. Olivia's recommendation margarita, was a delight that perfectly balanced sweetness and tanginess. It was evident that the bartenders at Local Cantina take pride in crafting cocktails that are as beautiful as they are delicious. Now… What truly made the experience exceptional was Olivia's attentive service. Her genuine enthusiasm for the restaurant and its offerings shone through, making the meal feel like a personal journey through the menu. Her recommendations were spot-on, and her friendly demeanor added a personal touch to the dining experience. Fun joint. Lots of taco selections and they're tasty. One or two will do it. Just outside German Village so close to other joints if you wanna hop around. Some outside searing and roll up doors when weather is nice. Had a burrito bowl and it was tasty. Prices are in line. Parking is ok, just be patient and willing to walk a little. Recommended.

Stopped in for lunch. Cool atmosphere. Establishment is clean, staff was nice. The food was OK, my quesadilla was just OK. I will probably go back to explore the menu more. This is a average place to stop and eat. They have a good drink selection also. A little pricy.

wish i could give this place 10000 stars! Great food, great drinks, great vibes. All of the staff is very personable and makes you feel very welcomed. Josie was my server and she was the best!! She recommended me a taco salad which was so delicious!! 10/10 recommend this place and will be coming back to eat soon!

We used to live close to another Local Cantina and had our weekly date nights there. We are always a fan of the food, the beer selection, and the house made margaritas. This Local Cantina shares those good things but has pretty consistently slow service. However, the people are friendly and it's in a great location, so we'll still hit it up from time to time. They did mess up my order this time but that isn't the norm and they fixed it quickly. On the whole, if you're in the mood for some chips and salsa, a few good tacos, and a beer, maybe a little outdoor seating and fresh air, Local Cantina is a great stop at any of their locations.

Went for an early lunch during the work day. The Brewery District Local Cantina has a comfortable feel to it, and it was an easy spot to have a work conversation over some tacos. I ordered the Wheezy Special, which was delicious! It might be a tad oily/greasy, but really you can only complain so much when you get free chips and salsa!

Nice little spot. Your paying 5.50 for a taco. The taco is decent, nothing special. But your paying for atmosphere. Which is nice. They have a great n/a beer selection which I like. Free chips and salsa which is also cool. Overall it was not bad and pretty much what I expected for a non Mexican taco spot in Columbus ohio.

The food, atmosphere, and drinks were all outstanding! My friends and I dined here on a a busy Tuesday night and our server, Josie, gave us such great service. She answered all questions we had pertaining to food selection and was very knowledgeable of the menu. One of my friends has a lot of food sensitivity and she was able to help us customize a meal to work around her allergies. We for sure will be back!

Highly recommend asking for Josie as your server the next time you visit here! She did an outstanding job during our first trip to Local Cantina and constantly made sure our needs were met. The atmosphere and the food were also perfect. My family and I will most definitely be coming back to this location!!

Stopped in last week while visiting my mom from out of town and was wowed with my experience. The food was great and came out quickly and the atmosphere was fun and bright. Our server Josie went above and beyond to make sure our experience was enjoyable and even recommended the 'We So Corny' dip, which is not something I would typically order, and it is now my favorite thing on the menu! We will definitely be back!

Delicious food. Wonderful environment and magnificent service. Music is just right, not too loud. Mix for all types. My date didn't like the salsa. I trusted his taste buds and didn't try it. Everything else we had was worth going back for.

I popped in for a couple tacos and margaritas. Olivia made a great drink and she had some awesome taco recommendations. She kept the bar moving and checked in on me without being pushy. I definitely will be back.

Really nice open air setup when the garage is open. They were reasonably busy but we still had decent service. They had a chips bar with salsa, both were great. We also had nachos which were above average. Tacos were average. Tried getting modelo but they were out of both the draft and bottles.

We had Olivia helping us out and we had a great experience. This was my boyfriend and my first time, and Olivia was super personable and sweet. You do not find people these days who you can tell genuinely enjoy their job, so my boyfriend and I were very pleased with the food and how great Olivia was. We will for sure be back for more great food and great service!

I placed my order online and 15 minutes later, it was ready to go when they said it would. Staff was extremely kind and helpful. The chips and salsa were excellent and the tacos are to die for! Even better when they give you free chips and salsa with your order 😀

Everytime I’ve been in here the service has been terrible and slow, came in there yesterday and we had to ask for a server for at least drinks after sitting for 25 mins., then we seen a server walk by didn’t acknowledge us then annoyed when we found out she was our server after waiting so long and seeing her walk by so many times. We had to ask for things multiple times which is fine people do forget things but for everything is ridiculous (refills, to go boxes, a bag to put the to go boxes in, check, etc) but food was good just a bit soggy on the tacos. Prior to this visit we had an issue with waiting for a table to have another family seated with menus before us, the waiter knew we were there first but still went to the other family for their drinks orders and food orders before us which was frustrating

LOVE Local Cantina! The atmosphere made me instantly relaxed and changed vibes from the stress of the day to good food, music and drinks. Highly recommend the weezy set up and who doesn’t love a chips n salsa bar 💃 I just wish we could get one in Key West!

We were doing the electric bikes through the city and we stopped in here for dinner. They have a little salsa bar with chips that you can get when you walk in and the tacos were amazing!! The crunchweezy was the best! Strawberry margarita was not that impressive. But I would definitely go back again and try a different margarita next time.

Great happy hour and awesome tacos but I was expecting more of a Mexican tacos which they are not regardless the food was great.

The restaurant is clean, servers are friendly and attentive, and the food is delicious! We aren't from the area, so our server was kind enough to give us some suggestions on nearby places to check out, which we really appreciated. Definitely will come back if I'm ever in the area.

Super friendly staff and good food! The free unlimited salsa bar is great and they have some of the best queso to order. Try the cucumber margatita and crunchweezie tacos. You can't go wrong!

Taco Tuesday! Very nice deal. Salsa was good, guac was made fresh for us on order. Love the serve-yourself chips. Brilliant idea. Had carnitas LC truck style (protein w onions and cilantro) shrimp and chicken tinga. All very good. Wife had brisket, carne asada and Hong Kong Phooey (chicken w pineapple salsa). She loved 'em. Planning on going back with my daughter and her fam next Tuesday. Staff were cool. Game day so things were hoppin but they stayed on top of it.

Went out to eat with my mom. The salsa for the chips was gross. We both ordered shrimp fajitas And we’re disappointed. The vegetables were good and had good flavor but the shrimp were super tiny and super over cooked it tasted like mush. Never again.

Ordered a group order with 4 quesos, and the containers were filled less than 1/3 full. When I called the store about it they said that they had changed the size of the containers so it looked like less (but they look the same size as they always have). I really like Local, but have had much better customer service at other locations.

Service is very promoted. Even though they are busy. The food is good. I had the baritone bowl with fish. The greens were quite nice. Tasted like cabbage and other greens, slight taste of cilantro. Very nice. The sauce was a bit spicy. But if added to the greens along with the avocado, very very nice. Spicy but muted. I enjoyed it. I hope you do to.

Food is great but we sat at the bar and the service sucks. The 2 bartenders are more interested in talking to 2 people sitting at the bar then anything else. We literally had to get their attention to order food and get another drink. The 3 stars are because the food is good. If not for that it would be 1 star

First time at this local chain and let us start with the positive; the farmers market taco was very tasty. The chips and salsa at the serve yourself stand was free and the chips were stale! The fish taco I had was meh. My wife said her chimichanga was good and she was able to swap out the meat for a plant based chicken. Would I go back, no! The table was sticky!

Very good food. Service was very slow but waiter was very kind. Don’t get a pitcher…. It’s 3/4 large ice cubes and the rest liquid all for $40. We asked for our second pitcher to have no ice (since we had so much left from our first pitcher) and still all ice the next time. Our group was disappointed and should have just gotten individual drinks (which probably would have been all ice too). Pitchers should be advertised as “all ice” in the drink menu.

From a Texas boy this place is spot on with their Texmex food! Great selection of drinks as well. Service was amazing!

Olivia was such an amazing bartender! She served up some bomb strawberry margs and put smiles on our faces. 10/10 would recommend
