Wonderful service. We had reservations, but a table was not immediately open. The hostess apologized to us. We had barely waited two minutes when the hostess returned with drink menus and told us the owner would comp any cocktails or drinks while we waited. Management also came to us and apologized, also. Like, wow... Lets talk food... Wife and I got two Tapas plates each and it was MORE than enough food for us. These are big "small plates". All four dishes were excellent. You could tell a lot of thought went into the crafting of each plate--even the presentation was great. Needless to say, we will be returning soon!

I absolutely love this restaurant! They have the best happy hour, delicious drinks, phenomenal food and a great atmosphere! All of the Tappas are amazing but my favorite things are the plantains and the mushrooms! The staff is super nice and helpful here as well

If you asked me yesterday if I would ever order mashed potatoes at a restaurant, I would answer “no. Never.” But after returning to Sidebar and eating off my partners’ plate, I would absolutely order mashed potatoes the next time I return to Sidebar. The food is absolutely delicious with many vegetarian options. Staff is exceptional. I love how the food comes out in waves. Cheers! 🌊

Great experience. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Prices were fair for the quality of food and my drink was phenomenal! We will be back, it’s been on my list of places for awhile and it didn’t disappoint. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a fun dining experience.

Food was absolutely amazing. We loved everything we ordered from the appetizers to the dessert. The location we sat was brighter than the rest of the restaurant but it wasn't bad. We were checked on once or twice after the food came out. Overall, food was delightful and moderately priced. Service was good. Atmosphere at any other part of the restaurant would have been better.

Food quality is top notch. Anyway food isn't bad I'll stick to the small portion not the entree on back side they're not that far apart. I wouldn't probably go back again but it's a good atmosphere. Good to try new things.

A wonderful Spanish - leaning tapas and cocktails bar // restaurant. The bartenders are all very friendly (s/o to Katie + Michah) knowledgeable, and helpful- which is hard to find when you’re a true cocktail enthusiast. Have tried many of the dishes, all consistent in both quality and quantity. Would recommend and would be back!

Everything we tried was delicious! Can't wait to go back for more. Highly, highly recommend. Great cocktail menu as well. Pictured: smoked salmon bruschetta, scallops parmesan, beef fillet skewers. Also got the fried plantains with queso and guava.

Definitely a good small plate tapas style location. They did have regular entrees too. I had the beef empanadas and chicken croquettes, both were delicious. The cocktail list is pretty unique too, with housemade drink ingredients. And the cocktails come as a show, especially if you sit at the bar.

The food is fantastic. Had the spicy potatoes and chicken skewers. Great flavor. Good service, I sat outside and never was neglected even though I was the only one out there.

Get the tapas. The tapas were flavorful and very well done and came out piping hot very quickly. With our group of 7, we ordered about 25 plates ($12-18 each) of tapas — chicken skewers, goat cheese with tomato sauce, ahi tuna, and spicy potatoes were overall favorites. We ordered the lobster ravioli, and it was poorly done. The ravioli were the same size as an empanada and it just didn’t taste, good. Let’s leave that dish to the Italians. Aside from food, our server didn’t seem half attentive. We took our team out for a work dinner, and whist we are all in the service industry, we are always more than easy going. It was disappointing to have to ask 3 different people and our server twice for pita, water, and a plate. At the end, I went to go grab my own plates and the pita came well after we were finished with our meal. Gratuity is added to the tab, which doesn’t bother me normally, but there was also a $12 convenience fee for running our card. All in all, although the food was delicious, I did not feel like it was worth the 20% ($75) gratuity and $12 service fee when we never saw our server, only to order food. Another tables server attended to us much more than our original server.

Contemporary, comfortable space, high energy staff! Black bean soup was very good, I liked the shrimp ceviche and the smoked salmon bruschetta was well composed and very tasty. The flan de coco dessert seems decadent without being heavy, packed with flavor.

Hands down, my favorite restaurant in the city! Not only is the owner one of most talented chefs in the city, but he's also one of the sweetest people you could know. His warmth and friendliness extends to the staff and so every time you go there, you feel like you're just hanging out with friends. And then there's the food. So delicious sometimes it leaves me speechless. The cuisine is imaginative, full of flavour, and entirely satisfying. My particular favorites include the duck and the lamb and the short ribs. And you absolutely must begin with the cilantro hummus. It is out of this world crazy delicious! The ceviche is an absolute work of art and even something as simple as potatoes gets elevated and treated as king of the plate. My birthday choice of dessert is always tres leches! So creamy, so smooth, so insanely good! The cocktails are world-class and the wine selection deep. If you haven't been to Sidebar, you are truly missing out. I go there almost every year for my birthday and this year was no exception. And I'm pretty sure that I'll be there next year as well. See you there?

I ate the braised short rib for dinner and forgot to take a picture all delicious. Tip the servers well they work hard. My husband got the scallops said they were delicious and I got the muscles Diablo. I don’t like spicy so I can remove it and they did a a garlic substitute. We will be back. Beautiful decor. The only downside is parking is super snug.

I really enjoy this place. I have a great experience every time I come here. At this point I think I've tried all of their menu items and there is nothing I would not get again. I was there last night, and I accidentally gave the waitress the wrong credit card to pay with. I realized it after she brought the receipt back to me. I explained the situation and the waitress voided the transaction and allowed me to pay with the correct card. Great, great customer service. I can't wait to come back.

Best restaurant in Columbus. Everything I've had here is superb. Delicious, well prepared, and a great variety of options. Also had the Flan, Tres Leches cake, and chocolate cake and all melt in your mouth. Do yourself a favor and visit this gem.

Everything we had was delicious. My favorites were the Spicy Potatoes, the Mushrooms & Garlic, the Saffron Risotto... and especially the Scallops Parmesan! As I'm pescitarian, I didn't try any of the meat-based items, but my friend enjoyed the ones she selected.

We’ve been here two times and have had several excellent small plates. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming - the wait staff are friendly. We drove over an hour to come the second time. It was worth it.

My fiancé and I had our first date here a couple years ago. It’s a special spot for us and each time we return it never disappoints. The service is impeccable, as are food and drinks. We’ve never tried a dish or cocktail we did not enjoy. Cannot recommend Sidebar enough to those considering it.

We love Sidebar! We had our first date here where my Mr. met my friends and it was so good we continue to come back. The restaurant is lovely and the food is always on point. Plus we love tapas so we can have a little bit of everything and we've always loved it all.

This is one of my favorite places to eat in Columbus. The food, drinks, and atmosphere here are always great. A+ on their mixed drinks; I always try a new one and I'm never disappointed. The food is always flavorful and filling. Couldn't ask for more.

We only stopped by for drinks, but were very impressed with the place. The drinks were delicious, the service was great, and we enjoyed the overall vibe. We have every intention of coming back for a full meal.

We hosted a dinner for 25 and were able to use the upstairs private dining area. The upstairs facility was perfect, and the food and service was fantastic! Our event was a huge success and turned out better than I could have imagined. Definitely recommend Sidebar!

Food was DELICIOUS! On the expensive side since they’re tapas so we ended up getting 6 plates for 2 people... not sure if we’re just fatties but I have no regrets. Great date night spot. Would highly recommend the octopus, scallops, duck, lobster ravioli, plantains.

One of, if not the best places in Columbus for authentic tapas. The food is a beautiful blend of Spanish, Mediterranean and Latin flavors. The Galecian Octopus is incredible and the best I've had outside Europe. I don't know how they keep it so tender. The croquettes, spicy potatoes, and rack of lamp are can't miss items also. The decor is great and the service is top notch. Parking has never been an issue. Usually $2-3 for a meter on Main St. and we're in. Columbus is lucky to have this place.

Sidebar is a gem. Their handcrafted cocktails are top notch (love the Moscow mule with their homemade ginger concoction). The tapas are outstanding. My best advice is to order one or two at a time and keep them coming! The cilantro hummus, beef empanadas and beef skewers are all 10/10. I had been looking for a kinda upscale place with latin dishes and i found it!! i got the beef empanadas, plátanos maduros and the tres leches cake later on. Service was quick and the food didn’t take long at all. The maduros were very good as well as the empanadas! I personally didn’t like the tres leches cake because of the texture, but that’s just a me thing. The atmosphere was gorgeous. They also have workers that speak english and spanish! Overall a very good experience and I’ll be back. Also was very close to the commons so you are able to walk to see the lights or it’s just a 2 minute drive!
