Great lunch today! I ordered the smokehouse classic salad with brisket - it was delicious and huge! My friend got a burger that looked amazing. Our server was so friendly!

We like to visit this establishment when we get over to this area. Food is usually good and the beer always hits the spot. Unfortunately they seem to be down on staff so this particular visit wasn’t great. But that’s everywhere so I can’t really hold that against them. I had the baby back ribs with Mac and cheese and tots and my husband had the meat loaf. Tots were over cooked and hard in the middle, my husbands green beans were cold and cold water squirted out of them when you would bite them. Stick to the pub grub and you will be happy. I recommend the sauerkraut balls…yum!! Give them a try if you are in the area.

Where do I start 😂 cool location with a nice patio and bar area. Easily some of the best smoked chicken wings I’ve had in Columbus (and I’ve tried many). The flavor was amazing and the brine process kept the wings very moist. Kansas City bbq and Carolina gold didn’t wow me but will try other sauces next time. The brisket nachos were awesome! Beer cheese tasted great and the salsa too. Topping coverage could have been a little better. Easily top 10 in Columbus. Good selection of house brews and the house pineapple ipa I had great flavor. Next time I’ll try the stout. Our hostess was super friendly but our waitress must have been having an off day. Also not her fault, but the kitchen halved our wing order somehow. Probably the only fault of the whole experience. A good try after trying Barleys for the first time given the previous ownership connection (exceptional service through and through at Barleys haha). Definitely worth the drive!

So this place admittedly looks like it's closed from the outside but seriously come right on in. The food is really freaking good, especially the wings. I've been here twice now and the place is empty!! I think they do a good takeout business, but still. We legit had a private watch party for the OSU game on Saturday because nobody was there! If you're on the fence about this place (because you think it's closed?) give it a try!! Additionally, their outdoor patio space is dog friendly.

5/5 on all fronts: taste, dining experience, price Had the cured and smoked pastrami sandwich with coleslaw. Man was this a treat. The beef brine came through on the palette, and the Swiss cheese complemented the smoky zest. The establishment was cool, clean and the outdoor patio was spacious. Next time I will enjoy a brew outside. The service was attentive and in good mood.

Located just south of Grandview, Smokehouse Brewing Company is a bar & grill with a sizeable menu, a full bar, and even a private room for small events. Most of the menu items are designed to pair with specific types of drinks (usually with a reference to said pairing), and the staff is exceptionally prompt and friendly. There isn't much around it in the way of shops, and the location doesn't cater to those without their own transportation, but it is certainly worth the trip if you're looking for an above-average, bar & grill experience. The good: exceptionally friendly staff. The food and service are excellent. The bad: staffing shortages since the pandemic (though the staff and management are great). A pinch pricey (but worth it). The back room is available for small events, including D&D (I've played it here on multiple occasions), and the staff is VERY friendly and accommodating. If I could give it 4.5 stars, I would.

The food was terrible when we first received it. It was cold and obviously not as not very good. We sent it back, and we were certainly glad we did. What an amazing difference. When you are served bad food...NEVER accept it that way. Send it back. You paid for a good meal. If you don't send it back, you not only lose, but so does the next customer, and the next. Do your part. Send it back so you can enjoy what you paid for.

Wow, what an experience, start to finish. We were waitied on Latyce who was more than willing to bring out samples for us to find the right beers. (Fantastic) Our cocktails had depth of flavor. But the food. Wow. Wowowow. We ordered almost ever sauce, apps galore and 2 main entrées. Flavor was out of this world good. No lie, best Jamaican Jerk sauce I've ever had. Wings should be the #1 best in town. Inferno sandwich is something to brag about. Long story short, 11/10 would come back.

Pulled pork was good. Brisket dip also decent. Had the Doxie beer which was crisp and interesting. Outdoor patio has no ambiance at all. No tvs and no people. Would prefer a better patio . They also took the bread pudding off the menu so a bit disappointed.

Absolutely fantastic! We had a party there with over 30 in attendance! We just ordered sliders, wings, cheese tray and a veggie tray and let everyone order drinks and whatever food they wanted. We only had one waitress she did a hell of a job!!! Thank you so much for great service! We had a great time!!

First time visit. Took my brother, his wife, and my parents yesterday to celebrate my brother's birthday. They were busy, but our server was very attentive despite the workload. The staff was all warm, friendly, and wonderful. The avocado rolls and sauerkraut balls were fantastic choices for starters. If you get any burger or sandwich, subbing out for the sweet potato fries is an excellent choice. If you like hot sauces go for the devil's tongue! It packs a serious kick with a perfect balance of flavor. There is a wide variety of bourbon available on top of their vast beer selection as well.

Best darn barbecue in the city hands-down. Extremely tasty! Even their pickles are absolutely delicious! I do not have one bad word to say about this place. Highly recommend you get some food from here.

So, by looking at the photo you would think, wow! This is going to be great! Sadly, these were the worst ribs I have ever been served. Ribs should easily pull apart and the meat should be tender and practically fall off the bone with very little effort. I honestly had a difficult time cutting the ribs apart with a steak knife and then I had to gnaw the meat from each bone. It was such an unpleasant experience that at least half of what little meat there was ended up left on the bones for the garbage. On the plus side, I enjoyed the baked beans. The tater tots were tasty but they were likely a frozen item so only a minimum amount of props for those.

This place has great service. The food is okay. We had appetizers - smoked wings and sauerkraut balls which were okay. The atmosphere is cool and could be better (very large place, somewhat dark in the back.

Stopped in for a quick warm-up and a beer. Chili and Gumbo were hot and delicious. Pumpkin Cask beer was tasty. And there was a pop-up group of musicians playing Irish music.

Smokehouse is one of our favorite local restaurants. The food is excellent, the staff is friendly and the atmosphere is comfortable and rustic.

Not a good time. Ribs were tough and not served hot-little more than Luke warm. Exchanged for brisket. It was not hot either. I did not like any of the sauces. Beans and tots were good. Very dissatisfied. Was expecting something like City BBQ?

Smokehouse is one a go-to place for my wife and I. A lot of the food there feels unique and like you couldn't get the same experience elsewhere in Columbus. The drinks are great (The Scottish ale is next level) and the bar tenders are all very friendly! Steph felt like an lifelong friend the first time we met her, brings an awesome atmosphere to the bar does an awesome job balancing service and engaging customers. I would recommend Smokehouse to everyone but especially if you're looking for some good classic wings with delicious sauces.

We arrived with a little less than an hour before closing. The staff was attentive and pretty upbeat for the end of the day. The drinks were good. The food was nicely portioned for the price. The menu has a little something for a variety of dietary preferences.

The food was okay. But the service stunk. The place was empty at dinner time on a Saturday night and I very quickly understood why that was. The employees act like they'd rather be anywhere else but working there. They barely speaks to you. Then they brought my salad and my appetizer and my main course all out at the same time. I mean... Really??? That's basic restaurant service. You don't do that. I would never eat here again. Don't know how they stay in business

I’m not sure if everyone commenting are just super loyal customers? This food was super dry. Not a ton of flavor. Definitely tasted like it was cooked a day or so ago and warmed in a microwave. There was 1 other table (about 10ish people) there when we got there and a single person at the bar. We waited an hour for food. we saw the server when she took our order. Then about an hour and 15 minutes later the server showed up (we also asked the person who brought our food to us to ask our server to come back by so we could get drinks.. but that took about 15-20 minutes). She asked if everything was okay, my husband just shrugged because we were just over it at this point. Never got a refill of drinks (we also didn’t brother asking ourselves). My daughter was completely out before the food came. I planned to try another beer but there wasn’t even anyone to order one from. After we finished some we waited for a while for the server. Who we never saw again… so we got the check from the hostess and also paid her. And then left.

This is one of our favorite go-to places for a great meal at a reasonable price. Their wings are some of the best in town (especially with the Kansas City sauce). And their Smokehouse Classic Salad is amazing, complete with crispy onions and the barbeque meat of your choice. I always go with the pulled pork and have never been disappointed. Their in-house beers are top-notch, too!

The food and beer were good as usual. But even though all the covid mandates have been lifted, they're still doing limited seating around the bar. There were literally allowing only seven people at the bar and could've easily sat eight or nine more and still had buffer space.

I picked up take-out Saturday evening, to eat during the Buckeyes game. I ordered the smoked wings and asked for them to be done extra crispy, because I despise rubbery skin on chicken wings. For the second time in as many weeks, the skin was very rubbery, almost as if they'd intentionally disregarded my request. My wife's order of pulled pork came in the usual styrofoam bowl, but had a watery liquid at the bottom, almost as if it had been frozen, and then thawed in the microwave. When I picked up my order at 6:30 on a Saturday night, the place was almost empty. One man sitting at the bar, and maybe 6-8 people sitting at booths, dining in. Not exactly a sign of a thriving business. Customers pick up take-out orders at the bar here, so I ordered a drink while waiting for my order, from a very apathetic and not very friendly bartender. I have done business here, since they opened. I could pull up my receipts on my Quicken account, but I really don't even want to know, how much I've spent here, because we used to eat here almost once a week for many years. We also used them for catering several family events. That's how good this place used to be (and it's only a few blocks from my home). This place had asinine pandemic policies, and was even closed for a period of time. I tried to patronize them again, because they're a local business, that we had good experiences with in the past, but now I think it's time to say farewell to Barleys Smokehouse.

We had a reservation for a party of 11 at 7:15. We arrived early around 7:05ish and no one greeted us until about 7:20 when we were told they weren’t ready for us, and not very nicely. It was also not busy, there were many open tables. Some of the party decided to get a drink at the bar while we waited for our table and they were turned down. Bartender stated that she couldn’t focus on her bar customers while serving people who were waiting for a table due to being short staffed. When we finally sat about 15-20 minutes passed our reservation time, the waitress was very nice. We ordered drinks which took about 25 minutes to come out. The beer was flat and the wine took an additional 10 minutes to come out. We had ordered appetizers (wings and nachos) when we placed drink orders and those took over an hour to arrive. We ended up not ordering anything else because the whole experience from start to finish, with the exception of our waitress who was very nice, was just terrible. The wings were really good so it was unfortunate that they couldn’t get it together elsewhere because I’m sure the rest of the meal would have been tasty. We just weren’t willing to wait another hour for it to come out.

Should I have taken the photo before eating? Yes. Do I still wanna recommend this to everyone who wants delicious BBQ in Ohio? Yes yes yes. Having lived in Memphis, TN for several years, this has been the best BBQ I've found in the North. Delicious food - the ribs are incredible. The baked beans are literally the best ever.
