One of Columbus' best restaurants. The food is great. The atmosphere is family friendly, casual, but nice. The night we were there, one employee worked the house and two or three worked the kitchen. Despite the lack of personnel, service was prompt and friendly. The one house worker also handled all calls, all pick-up orders, and all walk-ins placing to-go orders. The kitchen staff had no problem keeping up. We enjoyed the appetizers of olives with feta, and the fried calamari. Our entrees were the seafood trio and the salmon. Both were excellent. If you've not had Greek wines, they offer several reds and several whites. They deserve sampling. Greek whites, especially, have more robust qualities than wines grown in cooler climates.

Enjoyed an amazing dinner here during OSU parents weekend. Huge menu with so many delicious appetizer, entree and drink options. We went with a group of nine and sat in the side room - really fun ambiance and excellent service. Highly recommend for a fun and delicious night in the heart of the short north restaurant district. Definitely will return on a future visit.

This is one of our absolute favorite restaurants in Columbus! The food is fresh and delicious, and the service is phenomenal! Prior to our wedding in August 2021, my husband and I had our rehearsal dinner in their party room. Happy Greek was easy to work with, and helped us pick out a menu and order appropriately for our guest count. During the event, all of the staff was incredibly welcoming - all of the guests had a great time, and raved about the quality of the food! We really think it was a unique and pleasant experience for our friends and family. We can’t recommend this place enough! Thank you Happy Greek!!

Glad I went on a Monday so that I could truly enjoy the food. HIGHLY recommend the lamb chops!!! The dolmades are tasty. The salad was nice and had some good feta and fresh veggies. Super tasty, greasy, succulent and juicy gyro meat. Legitimate lamb and beef mix not ugly frozen precooked meat. Nice pour on the drinks too. Great experience and excellent service and food.

What an experience! Our server was so cool, he was working so hard and the restaurant was busy, cheer up!! The food was good, I couldn't share anything with my husband! He got baby lamp chops and he said it was the best so far and he was so happy that he trust our server! Pair with his red wine, I thought he was drunk haha! He looked too happier than when I cooked him food!

I'm not sure how to rate this so let me start with the positive....food was very good. The tiger shrimp appetizer was excellent, highly recommend. My gyro was good with plenty of meat (I couldn't even eat it all). My side Greek salad only came with one olive though 😕. Hubby got the spicy gyro and really liked it. Karen, our server was excellent. Very attentive and ready to help with any questions. My complaints...only one olive, citrus cooler drink was less than average tasting, they didn't remove the items requested from one of our meals. Hubby had to order a miller light because they said the Michelob ultra was out, but Karen went the extra mile and found some in the cooler 😊 So they are getting a 4 star but I would prefer to give a 3.5 However, I would return to give them another try because the food was really good.

Hands down the best lamb chops and garlic lemon chicken in the city. The price point was low considering the quality of food. I'm not blown away often on my first visit to a new restaurant, but Happy Greek did just that! This is my new favorite place when I have a taste for authentic Greek food.

Best Greek place in Columbus in my opinion. Very authentic Greek food. My favorite is the spicy chicken pita. They have skordalia (appetizer dip) which I cannot find anywhere else in the Columbus area and it is delicious; served with warm pita bread for dipping. Pricing very reasonable for being in the short north.

Great outdoor patio with tasty Greek food. They had a few Greek beers on their menu, which was a nice touch. Patio is through the back of the restaurant and away from noisy High street. It was quiet on the patio and there was plenty of shade on a hot summer day!

have you ever had to work a 24 hour shift in a hospital and been literally elbow deep in blood and when you leave all you want in the world is avgolemono soup and you go to the Happy Greek and order it and its so good you start crying, and then come back and order it again every day for a week. Also the ceasar salad makes every other caesar salad look pathetic. Also greek white wine, yall

Yeash, that was the best cooked salmon that I have had in Cbus in a long time. Very tasty and cooked just right! I ordered the Horiatiki Salata topped with Blackened Salmon. This meal was delicious! Service was on point and they dealt with the rush lunch crowd in stride.

We absolutely love Happy Greek! Every time our family visits the Short North, we always carve out time to eat at our favorite restaurant! Staff are hospitable, menu items are delicious, and the restaurant's indoor/outdoor seating options have lovely ambience! Check out this wonderful restaurant!

This is one of my favorite Columbus restaurants! They have great food and drinks, and excellent service. Their patio is a hidden gem, tucked behind the restaurant, out of range of High Street noise. The patio is wonderful in the warmer months. Great place, highly recommended.

First time trying this spot out. The food was absolutely amazing! We will definitely be back. There was only one chef and one host/bartender who did everything else. Mike was super busy for a cold Monday night and made sure every single person was well taken care of. Props to you!

We ended up here by mistake - a good one! Food is well portioned and very authentic and tasty. It is a MUST if you are in the Short North in Columbus Ohio. I recommend the shawarmas all kinds too :-)

Got the gyro platter last night. It was huge, but they weren't making up quality with quantity: it was delicious. The lettuce, onions, and tomatoes was crisp. The meat was cooked well and had excellent flavor. Even the french fries were salted just right in my opinion.

There are a ton of restaurants around this area so we try to explore new ones. This is a 1st for us here & it was marvelous darlings! We had a good ole time & everything was delish! Idk about other peoples experience but ours was top notch. More power to your restaurant 🥦🌯🍸🛰🍋🥕🍽📱💯

Their lamb chops are amazing. Visited on a Friday evening and when greeted and was told the wait was 15 minutes. There were only two servers. I waited patiently at the bar for that amount of time before my order was taken. The wait was definitely worth the lamb chop platter. If you visit please try!

We ate at this restaurant back in 2019 while at Origins. Loved the food. Decided to get take out this year and since we liked the gyros so much decided to up it to the gyro platters. Can't say the value was there. The platter was basically just a regular deconstructed gyro with a little bit of rice tossed in for an additional $8. I'd stick with the gyro.

They catered to our large group and they beat any expectations we had. The staff had setup a limited menu for us to make things go quicker. Bread with two dips (humus and a spicy feta) was brought out first along with a few salad plates to share. Every other dish the group had was just amazing. Compliments all around. Burgers, pasta, and meat dishes were all great and affordably priced. I'm not generally a Greek food fan, but I was pleasantly surprised by how good this was.

My favorite place to eat in all of Columbus. Great service and staff. Their amazingly handsome owner Adrian cooked everything to perfection himself. A truly dedicated and top notch owner. You will never find a better owner of a restaurant or better person in general. A true master of the business and a real classy gentleman.

Stopped in for a late lunch on a Thursday. The restaurant is inviting, the atmosphere is friendly, and our server Phillip, who I believe was also tending the bar, was fabulous. We had the hummus and pita appetizer, and it was AMAZING! We all had different pitas, some with the fries and some with a Greek salad. It was ALL DELICIOUS! I really can't say enough about it! We are a family of 4 and everyone was happy and stuffed to the brim!! Wonderful place to stop and grab a bite to eat at!!

This was our first time trying this place out, and it did not disappoint. We tried a little bit of everything. The hummus w/pita app, taditional gyro, chicken shawarma, and the filet kabobs. Everything had great flavor and all tasted fresh. The filet kabobs were so tender and delicious. I only noticed one server, but he never missed a beat! We will be back!

I've been coming a patron of this awesome little restaurant (in this location, and the one that used to be in the Campus Gateway area) since I was an OSU student, so about 10 years. Consistently delicious. Well deserving of the yearly "Best Gryo" awards they always seem to win. Friendly staff. Reasonably priced. It's just a classic and a must for anyone who enjoys Mediterranean and Greek cuisine. 5 stars!

Stumbled in while I was in Columbus for a convention. They were clearly understaffed, but I didn't mind waiting, especially since they had lacrosse on the television. I haven't had Greek food in a while, and I wasn't disappointed. Any restaurant that offers more that hummus for dipping is good in my book. I ended up with a plate of tzatziki with pita and a falafel burger, and I was happy with both. If I have any complaints about the food it's that there wasn't enough garlic for my taste, but it was hitting pretty hard by the end of the meal. This might be my new favorite haunt on High Street whenever I'm town.

Worst gyro ever! The meat didn't taste like normal gyro meat and the texture was too soft. It kinda disintegrated in your mouth. The service was good. Never again

The second time here, and both times were amazing. The cheese appetizer opa! Was way better than I thought it would be. The gyro is not fried and very tender. The lemon potato was amazing.

Laid back atmosphere - nothing flashy. But kind, patient staff & AMAZING food!!! The Gyro Pita was so savory- the best one I've had to date. The Feta Fries were so delicious. Everyone in my group was happy with their choices!

This place is so good. I have been going for years and I have never had a bad meal. Large portions at a good price. The feta fries are amazing and the gyros are really good, not salty like some places. Highly recommend

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Happy Greek and I have to say, the food was absolutely fantastic! The pistachio baklava was especially delicious and is definitely a must-try dish. The menu features a great selection of traditional Greek dishes, all of which are prepared with care and attention to detail. The flavors were perfectly balanced and everything was cooked to perfection. The restaurant's atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with charming decor that transports you to Greece. The staff were polite and attentive, and the service was prompt and efficient. Overall, I highly recommend The Happy Greek to anyone looking for delicious Greek cuisine in a great atmosphere. Whether you're a fan of classic Greek dishes or looking to try something new, you won't be disappointed by the incredible flavors and friendly service at this restaurant.

Everything was EXCELLENT. Had falafel and dolmades as an appetizer and was blown away. Then we moved on to the lamb kebabs, which were incredibly juicy and tender. The rice pilaf was wonderfully spiced and fragrant, and the Greek salad was crisp and fresh (and obviously made to order, not mixed up in the morning and left sitting around all day). Somehow I had room for baklava and an espresso, which were also top notch. The waiter was super quick and attentive as well. This is a 90-minute drive from where we live, but it's no doubt worth it!

The patio is the perfect place to eat on North High. You feel secluded and can't hear the city as much. The food was great and there were plenty of options for vegetarians. The bathroom is downstairs and you have to climb stairs to enter the restaurant, so it is not accessible to those in wheelchairs.

Absolutely amazing food and service. My server Phillip was amiable and provided quick service with great conversation. I ordered the spicy shrimp pita and it was delicious. The pita comes with fries and it was a very satisfying meal. Great flavors and fries had the perfect amount of salt. The patio is a comfortable, private area to enjoy the weather with the perfect amount of shade. The Happy Greek made me happy and I will be back soon.

My family recently had a rehearsal dinner in the restaurant’s party room in celebration of an Orthodox Greek wedding. The staff did an absolutely fantastic job. They were accommodating, friendly, and very much on top of keeping food on our plates and drinks in our glasses. Our party tried multiple dishes, and every single thing tasted incredible - authentic and fresh. A huge thanks to the chef, hosts, and waiters. A pandemic wedding can have a lot of unexpected let downs, but this dinner was definitely a high point of the entire wedding experience.
