The food here is good. I like their sweet potato fries and flatbreads. The service is good and quick. I loved their fried chicken sliders. Been here a few times and this place never disappoints.

Went to CoSi for Marvel exhibit and stopped by for a bite to eat. Parking was about a block away but not bad on a nice day. Rates were good and the meal for fam was 70.00 after tip. Food was good, and service awesome. Worth a 2nd trip.

Very nice American restaurant in the Short North. We had reservations on a Tuesday evening and found the restaurant to be decently busy but not jam packed. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Appetizers included crispy Brussel sprouts and chips and dip. Whatever sauce they use for the Brussel sprouts is fire - absolutely delicious. Entree included the Hubbard burger, several pastas, and Mac and cheese + drinks. Overall very very satisfied with the service + meals and will definitely be returning in the near future. Would recommend this restaurant to everyone passing through the area.

Good food! Nothing to complain about besides the wait. Definitely make a reservation if you know when you want to go! Wait time is easily an hour on a weekend. Was pretty loud indoors, so if you don’t want to yell during dinner make sure to request patio seating. Fun location in the middle of the city. The goat cheese ravioli had the best flavors with the bacon, sautéed onions and broccoli. The burger was cooked perfectly and tasted great, just nothing to write home about. Not too expensive but not cheap either.

Tuesday's fried chicken dinner for $10 is delicious! The grits and sauce were my favorite. Comes with crispy brussel sprouts as well. The Blackberry Mule is refreshing! Bar service is good and outdoor side patio seating is available.

1st time coming here and was not dissapointed. Good innovative cocktails. Great looking building. Spoke to some of the staff and could see a passion. Hands down the best Pork Chop I've ever ate at a restaurant. The bourbon demi glaze was *chefs kiss*

The ambiance in here was incredible. I really loved their main dining room space! The service was also superb. Try their ahi tuna entree, amazing!

Go on Fried Chicken Tuesday! The fried chicken is delicious and the grits are so soft and savory they resemble mashed potatoes, it's extremely decadent and soooo good! The jalapeno cornbread was soft and covered in honey and everything we could have asked for. The portions are large, the service is good and both of us are huge fans!

It was a pretty busy Friday night so we understood the longer wait times for drinks as it appeared the bar was slammed. Our food however would come out quickly and was delicious. One note...the Buratta was not worth the 18 dollars. It was delicious definitely...but you don't get enough to feel justified. Too much arugula. The jalapeño corn bread was amazing. Bravo...I've never had something like that and Hubbard nailed it. My wife loved her goat cheese ravioli with chicken and the fried chicken sliders were a perfect serving size and delicious. The manager stopped by to ask us how our night was and our servers apologized for the long waits for drinks but overall, we really enjoyed our first visit to the restaurant.

It was some of the best food from a bar/restaurant I have had in a long time. The food was really good. I would give (what I had) an 8/10. The drinks weren't watered down at all. I had a white Russian & although it was good, the ratio was off a bit. The only issue I had with the place is that we literally had to yell at each other in order to talk to one another. That's a bad thing when trying to have a decent conversation while eating. Outside of that, I would definitely recommend "Hubbard Bar & Grille" to anyone who might be in Columbus, OH in the future. ✌🏽

This was our first time dining at Hubbard Grille, but it won’t be the last! We really enjoyed the food, the staff were great, and the atmosphere was fun and modern. Definitely a good find in Short North!

Restaurant was mostly empty as I went with my sister the day before Thanksgiving. Our waiter was friendly. The food was mediocre. We came at happy hour. I had the goat cheese ravioli with shrimp added for an additional $10. It was good but looked no bigger than a microwave meal. There wasn't anything exceptional about it. My sister ordered a $5 flatbread off the happy hour menu and it was a bit smaller than we anticipated. She ordered a second. I understand that it's $5 yet somehow it still felt like a ripoff. The Agave Coolers were good. Five items we ordered were from the $5 happy hour menu. My ravioli was the most expensive. The bill totaled $70+ after I left a 25% tip (I usually do). I'm not impressed enough by the taste and serving sizes to say I'd return, but we still had a good time.

Warm and friendly greeting from the host. Grace was our server, she was polite and very sweet. The food was excellent and their restroom was clean. We really enjoyed our experience here!

We’re always looking for more places in Columbus that do Brussels sprouts right. These Brussels were different, but still not in our fave top 3. However, Hubbard’s is a good place to go for happy hour. If you don’t want a full blown dinner, you can easily fill up on happy hour food & drink specials plus an app or two.

Waitress was exceptional. Lemon drop needs a little work; not sweet enough. Pizza needs a little more cheese. Other apps were good.

We had a great meal here, just my husband and I. We started with the brussel sprouts and they were good, very well done, nice and hot. My husband had a flat bread that was good nothing crazy, and I ate the goat cheese ravioli with chicken which I really enjoyed. Would go back and recommend, you'll likely need a reservation!

I hosted a business mixer here on 9/20 and it went amazingly well! From the moment I inquired about the space to having the event, everything was executed very well. Tina did a great job meeting my needs with fair pricing. The staff that worked the event were equally great. They were attentive, had great customer service, and went above and beyond to help make the evening a success. I would definitely consider hosting an event there again.

We had our son's rehearsal dinner in the private venue upstairs. The staff and the food were excellent! We actually never met with Tina as we live out of town, but we visited with the chef and had dinner there before we made our decision. Our communications were through email and Tina answered any questions or concerns quickly. The evening of the dinner went smoothly and all our requests were met. The food was delicious and the bar service outstanding. (and we owned restaurants!) I would highly recommend The Hubbard Grille.

Went here for a work event- they have an upstairs area that can be used for private parties that has a bar and a dining area. It was a good space for our group as we had a cocktail hour with some snacks- a cheese plate and some bruschetta which were both good. The servers were excellent and attentive. We had a pre set menu I ate a salad with blue cheese and cranberries and beets- very good and the salmon which was cooked nicely. I was impressed because of the volume they needed to prepare our food it came out hot and well prepared! Overall a good place.

My first time at Hubbard Grille, parking around the area might be intimidating for first timers, but there is a big parking garage across the street. We had a private party of maybe 20 plus guests at the 2nd floor with open bar. The bar tenders were really awesome! I love their espresso martini! But those bar tenders are also our servers, they were efficient with getting our orders BUT food took awhile before we got it, I already lost my appetite:( My salad and roasted chicken tasted good and drinks just kept flowing. I would have give this a 5 star if we got our food on time. Still a great place overall!

boring new year’s eve celebration for anyone under 30 years old. we should have gone to town hall across the street. the calamari was the best thing to come out of this experience. their espresso martini looked like watery diarrhea and tasted horrible. we came for a fun night of dancing and good drinks, and got no dancing and bad drinks. unfortunately, we left before midnight and will not be returning for any reason. my dad used to own the place when it was rosendales, and i honestly miss it. we will not be recommending hubbard grille to anyone.

We recently had my son's rehearsal dinner here. It was amazing! Everything was flawless. The event coordinator was responsive and thorough. The servers and bartenders were friendly and on top of everything. Plus the food was delicious!! I highly recommend this restaurant if you have an upcoming event

We recently hosted our son's rehearsal dinner at Hubbard Grille. I worked with Tina to coordinate the event. She was very attentive to all my questions and concerns. All my emails to her were followed by a prompt response and she always gave me a sense that she, too, wanted us to have a successful event. Upon our arrival we were greeted by our servers, Rachel and Maddie. They helped me with setting up the table decorations and organizing our evening. Both worked hard the entire night and made sure that all of our guests were well cared for. The private upstairs space was perfect of our event. The bar area overlooks the main dining area and provided a great atmosphere for our guest to mingle or relax on the comfy couches. Later, we were able to close the doors to the private dining room for a more intimate dining experience. One of the reasons I chose HG is that they offered a variety of gluten free options. Our guests were able to select from a condensed menu. All of the plates came out looking beautiful and tasting amazing. The space, the food and the service were all that we could ask for and more. Thank you Hubbard Grille for a memorable evening!

We had a group of 7 for a birthday celebration. We took a little while to order but didn't feel rushed by our server. I got the carafe of White Sangria and it was so delicious! For dinner, I got the chicken and brie chicken sandwich. It was good - messy - but good. The fries had a nice crunch to them. We ended up rushing ourselves near the end because we were cutting it close on time before our next festivity. We had asked for the checks before our meals arrived, but the server insisted he would bring them after he dropped off our meals. It ended up taking him a while to bring the checks over, so we paid everything on one card to make things easier and quicker. Some food seemed a little pricy for what it was, but would definitely like to try again and get a variety of other food. In total before tip, our meals/drinks for 7 people was $300.

We recently had our son/daughter-in-laws wedding rehearsal dinner at Hubbard Grille. Great atmosphere, great people and great food. We would highly recommend them for any function. We had a private room upstairs with our own bar service. Maddie our bartender/server was outstanding. Night manager (sorry, but we can't remember her name)made regular trips upstairs to check on us. Everything went smoothly. The food was outstanding!!! Thank you to the kitchen staff! Special thanks to Tina Stiver, Event Coordinator. She was very helpful and helped us planned a special dinner. We would highly recommend Hubbard Grille to anyone whether for a party or just a nice night out.

First I want to give a shout out to the server Jeff he did a great job. We got the jalapeño cornbread. It was decent. $10 for 2 small loaves seems steep. For my entree I got the fried chicken with green beans instead of Brussels. The chicken batter didn’t have much flavor but the meat was moist. The gravy made the bottom soggy. The center of grits were ok not the best. The star was really the green beans. For dessert I got the cheese cake and that was tasty. My friend got the upside down strawberry cake. I think they just used the leftover cornbread batter with some Jam. It was grainy and not very good and again $10 each for those. Total bill was $110 and we didn’t even get alcohol. Just over priced and mediocre. One of the biggest disappointments was I booked a reservation for a birthday and they did nothing to make it special. No song. No free dessert. Didn’t even say happy birthday.

I left the review below two months ago and gave the restaurant five stars. I came back today, 11/22/22 and again ordered the salmon plate. But the two plates are just not the same. And, IMHO, Hubbard took a big step backwards with this change. The salmon plate in August was beautiful and the flavors were delicious, delicate, and distinct. The Nov 2022 salmon plate was a huge disappointment. The salmon still tasted great but there was only one other flavor, a heavy and sweet glaze. The asparagus was replaced with meaningless and pointless kale. The rice in the August plate was replaced by equally meaningless quinoa. Both the kale and the quinoa added nothing to the plate other than a vehicle for delivering the sweet glaze. There were only two flavors in this dish, and rather than compliment one another, they were in competition. The second most disappointing aspect of this November salmon plate is the introduction of a potato squash chunks. I cared neither for their flavor as a paring with salmon, however much disguised by the sweet glaze, nor for their dry, mushy texture. But the most disappointing aspect of the November plate when compared to the August plate was the substantially reduced size of the salmon portion. I finished the plate, which, by the way, was about the same price as the original, in just a few minutes and then picked up the menu in search for more. That story would have warranted 4 stars because the salmon itself was still tasty and properly cooked. But, it’s three, because I was also disappointed by the facts that Hubbard discontinued the olive dish, which I was looking forward to as an appetizer, and they were out of cheese cake, their most appealing dessert, and they let Vee go (pictured), the most entertaining of bartenders. So, on this particular night, I’ll finish my now routine drive from Akron to Cincinnati feeling sorry that I didn’t try something new on the amazing High Street in Columbus OH. August 2022… This place is amazing. Great food, great atmosphere, and great service. Ask Vee the bartender about his hand crafted cocktails. They’re awesome! Never tell a chef how to do his or her job. Always order your steak or salmon, “Chef’s preference” and you’ll never be disappointed. Can’t wait to come back with the family! Great prices on Calamari and Brussel sprouts during happy hour. First date? The marinated olives will relax the atmosphere and fuel your conversation.

We were there two weeks ago for a bridal shower for my granddaughter. So pleased with everything! The staff, Nick and Maddie were the best! They made each and everyone feel special! The food was amazing! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to enjoy great atmosphere and exceptional food and service. Just wish I lived closer! Thanks for making a special event even better!

A great gem in the Short North. We have been visited several times this summer with our baby and every single server, hostess, and employee has been above and beyond friendly and helpful. Even the kitchen staff leaving to run an errand are pleasant and sweet. Their happy hour is great and drinks are amazing. Do yourself a favor and stop in!

We liked it a lot. The food was delicious even though they made a mistake and brought my daughter's food out early. They did offer to remake it, but we didn't take them up on it. I work in the restaurant technology space and understand they are all doing the best they can to survive in these times of staffing shortages and COVID restrictions. Our server was excellent and attentive. The cocktails were delicious and I had the Scallops special and it was amazing. Everyone in our party of 6 loved their food.

This is one of my long time classic returns in Columbus. I think at times it’s overlooked and at times it may have a hit or miss experience, but who would guess why. Their drinks are so good, service is always consistent, food is rich and tasty. One of the best lamb dishes I have ever had in Ohio. The all natural fried chicken and brussel sprouts I dream about! Great time and I’ll be back again! I hope you have as good an experience as me.

This is one of the best restaurants in the city! And probably in the whole state or country! First quality food. Amazing taste! Everything that was served was 5 stars. Compliments to the chef/chefs! If you are looking for a nice place with great food and service, do not hesitate to visit Hubbard Grille. I promise you you won't regret.

Hubbard Grille has an old town feel to it with touches of nostalgia and elegance. Fine entrees and off the beaten path appetizers adorn an eclectic menu of finer bar food to upscale steaks and fish. Whether you are looking for a good burger or a well aged cut of beef, Hubbard Grille delivers. Plenty of drink choices from a full bar is sure to quench any thirst one could have. From domestic beers to local IPA's to wines, there is something for everyone. Hubbard Grille is an ideal place to meet up for drinks after work, for celebration of a life event or for grabbing dinner while bar hopping in the Short North. Service is great. The server who took care of my table was well versed in the menu item, suggest some popular apps and main courses. Courteous and quick, the server had drinks, apps and entrées all brought out in timely fashion.

We got into the area later in the evening and decided to go walk to dinner. We were starving and so happy to find someplace that was still serving dinner and not a club atmosphere. Staff was great, and can’t say enough about the food. We had probably the best cheeseburger we’ve ever had and the burrata was delicious! Will definitely be back!

Absolutely amazing. The fried chicken dinner was so good and I was so full afterwards. But the service was outstanding, the waiter was so sweet and funny. He always made sure we weren’t thirsty. I honestly felt like I was at a 5 star hotel as the bathrooms were immaculate as well. Will definitely come back.
