I took my mother here and waited 45 minutes for water/beer on the patio - our order was taken and we never saw our server again. After 45 minutes without service we decided to leave and explained the situation; our server apologized and we offered to sit inside if that was easier. They agreed so we sat down again, but rather than grabbing the drinks/water we had ordered 45 minutes prior our server went to visit other tables instead. We waited an additional 5 minutes inside before giving up completely and leaving. Several other servers passed by our table during our wait inside and out without acknowledging us. I have never posted a review of a restaurant, but this is absolutely the worst service I have ever had and I am truly embarrassed for trying to take my mother here. Do not support this place.

I live right in the neighborhood, right around the corner. I want desperately to love this place. I cannot however, as it’s always been consistently inconsistent. Tonight I decided to give it another shot. I ordered my pizza over the phone. They told me to come in 30 minutes When I got there after searching for someone to talk to, I waited 10 more minutes for them to admit that they couldn’t find my order. I just laughed and walked out. No one even tried to apologize or offer me anything.

So we told the staff we were sitting on the patio. The place is practically empty. Fifteen minutes later I had to go inside to remind them we were waiting for someone to take our drink order. We finally ordered food and 25 minutes later we are still waiting. I had to go inside to get my drink refilled. We’ve been here almost an hour now and still no sign of our food. Would not recommend.

Exceptionally friendly and courteous server. Menu offers a multitude of choices for dietary varieties at an affordable rate, mostly a la carte pricing.... That said, the small salads are just that... Small, more like side salads. But lots of fun pub food or healthier choices. The atmosphere is very fun, eclectic, and comfortable with a small neighborhood feel. They have probably 10 or large screen TVs with great clarity. Our server did mention that they may be considering making some changes to the restaurant and menu at the start of next year, so keep your eyes peeled.

Very nice neighborhood Bar and Resturant. Friendly staff and great service. I was picking up a to go order, but can't wait to stop back in. Close to downtown and just a chill place to sit and chat. Convenient on the street parking and wheel chat accessible.

Friend wanted to meet here, and I haven't been in this part of town. I discovered a nice neighborhood meeting place. It definitely has a sports bar feel, but a little subdued since the big game was over hours ago, but still fairly active. Order drinks and a few appetizers. The saganaki, spinach-artichoke dip, and the gyro rolls. All were tasty and satisfying, though I liked the presentation of the saganaki. I hadn't thought about visiting other neighborhood hangouts before.

Been waiting to give this place a 5 star. It’s been an interesting ride the last few years - the place has always had so much potential but was always missing on service or consistency. The new owners are gonna knock it out of the park if they keep it up. Immediately service has improved and the food has been top notch. The pizza has always been good here, so that still holds but some of the new menu items are really good. They have been smoking wings and they could compete with some of the best.I see the owners around and chatting and can tell they take pride in what they do. As an extra bonus the patio now has tvs - amazing for game days! Run some specials, get new folks in and keep up the good service / food consistency and this place will be top rated in no time!

I felt compelled to leave a review on our last visit to Red Brick. We lived in Merion/German village for 4 years previously (2014-2018) and saw Red Brick go thru several phases, the last one being not so good at all. We were back in town for a wedding this past weekend and someone mentioned it was under new ownership, so we thought we'd drop in and see how things were going under new management. We stopped in for Brunch and to catch the Buckeye game on 09/09, and had just a great experience. The staff went above and beyond and the food was probably some of the best I can remember getting from Red Brick. The owner actually gave our group some smoked wings (on the house) during the game to try and they were absolutely delicious. Greg, bartender, was very attentive and did an A+ job. I didn't catch the new girls name, but she was on her first day and could tell she wanted to do well. Unfortunately, we live over 800 miles away now, but anytime we are back in Columbus, we're going to make sure this is certainly a stop when we're in the neighborhood. I hope nothing but the best for the new owners as this is such a great space in the heart of Merion/German Village.

Nice neighborhood. I don't drink so maybe Red Brick is better for those that do. Food underwhelming. Had cuban, wife had fish special. Fish not crispy, slaw bland, fries were decent, maybe the best part of the meal. Cuban, no spice??. Sweet potato fries were like eating boiled potatoes. I heard the magic for sweet potato fries is to double fry. Maybe if RB read this they will give it a try. They are clearly not doing that at Red Brick. Maybe fry oil needed changing? Waitress seemed really busy so basic service, not much interaction.

Been coming here since the day it opened as red brick and it is consistently the most inconsistent bar/restaurant I’ve been to. We have sworn it off and come back out of convenience only to swear it off again. Done trying to support the business. Really bums me out I can’t bring people to my neighborhood bar.

Been here a few times now. Awesome food, awesome tap list. The kicker for us though is the service. We were taken care of by Brandon today and he was incredible. Informed, friendly and attentive. Thank you all so much. Great birthday experience!

This is a small, well taken care of establishment. With an awesome comic themed embellished wall and well thought out decor. The pizza was phenomenal but we did technically wait 35-40 mins for 1 pizza. We had ordered everything upfront from 1 appetizer, 1 large pizza, and 2 mixed alcoholic drinks. After 25 mins we only received our onion ring appetizer. We ended up having to go to the bar to retrieve or reorder the drinks we ordered. I’m not going to take anything away from the man that served us this night. He was a shorter gentleman with dark hair and mustache if I do recall correctly. He did his very best and was legit the only employee running around with a sense of urgency for the customers. I seen one waiter, one bartender and the owner on the floor ( who was helping serve food and drinks) the whole time on a Saturday night so I’m assuming or hoping it was due to short staffed and call offs. We had a party of 4 sit next to us and after 15+mins of not being acknowledged the family walked out. I do recommend staffing a little bit better to accommodate the busy weekends.

Skip the ridiculous waits in Germantown and come down a few blocks to this gem. Food was excellent. Pizza especially was on point. Service was great coupled with a comfortable, well kept dinning room. They do offer patio seating and bike racks for those peddling through. They have an extensive amount of taps and a wide arrange of liquor. No reason to search further - just do it - go there - and thank me later.

Service - Excellent Food - Excellent Atmosphere- Excellent. We had the Loop's Famous Spicy Gyro Rolls as an appetizer. Had the Clasic Greek Gyro and Clasic Grilled Cheese for entrées. Everything was outstanding. Mario the owner was super friendly and attentive. 5/5 stars for sure

Great location and atmosphere. Lots of delicious menu items have been added by the new owners. The smoked wings and lobster roll (an occasional special) are by far the best in the city. Definitely worth checking out!

We had been wanting to try this place since we moved into the neighborhood. Ordered a variety of things off the menu and they were all GREAT! Wonderful atmosphere, casual environment, just a really great place to have a few (of their incredible selection of beers) and some awesome food. We will be back, and often.

Used to love this place. They changed all their pasta dishes and I got the cacio e pepe, which was so thick and mealy. I could barely eat it. Then a 12 inch pizza was $20 but in reality you can order the pizza and toppings separate and it is $5 less. I guess we lost a favorite eating spot.

Very good craft beer selection. Need to chill glasses before pouring. Chicken strips were very generous, but, coating was a little crunchy for my liking. Service was a bit slow and inattentive.

Stopped in for the first time in a while as they are under new ownership and was very impressed. The new menu is incredible! Keep up the great work.

I live down the street; I can literally see the Red Brick from my front porch. Unfortunately since new ownership I can also hear it too. There are now televisions on the patio, and what was once a quiet little bar/grill is now full of screaming sports fans on the weekends until 11:30 pm. (Some people have to get up early for work on the weekends.) It’s currently Monday night and I’m on my porch and can hear the televisions. Sad to see this turned into a standard sports bar. Can’t speak to the food or service which might be just fine, but disappointing that this has changed the atmosphere of my street in this lovely neighborhood.

The Red Brick is a great neighborhood restaurant and bar with good food and service. Good draft beer selection. The food quality has been very consistent with great burgers and sandwiches. Their pizza game is solid too. Another bonus is that they also have one of the best patios in Merion Village. Highly recommended. Check them out. We've never had a bad experience.

The best French Onion Soup ever!!! I’ve tried so many different restaurants and diners in Columbus area for the best French Onion! Well I just found it!!! Red Brick tap and Grill is by far the superior of French Onion soup

I like this place, but I don’t love it. The food is generally good, but I have had issues with service and prices. Overall, I will keep go back, but it’s not in my weekly or monthly rotation.

Everything on the menu sounded so good. I ended up with the Greek calzone and I was not disappointed. The calzone could feed two, although I almost ate the whole thing myself.

Cozy neighborhood place with a super-friendly staff and laid-back atmosphere. The pizza was tasty and I'm told by one of my dining companions that the cheeseburger was one of the best they ever had. Didn't have a beer (driving) but the selection looked fantastic.

It took 10 minutes to even get a menu after we had been seated. Our waitress was curt, and unfriendly. google has this place listed as family friendly but it sure didnt feel that way. They didnt even have a highchair. The food was good, but we were overcharged by at least 12 dollars. The total was 40 dollars for a gyro, a Cuban, a side of fries, a unsweetened tea, and 1 cider. The waitress said there was a special on the gyros making them only 5 dollars. Overall very unsatisfied with the establishment.

Good food. Very good service. 8 oz burger very good. Not crowded Sunday lunch. Good selection of beer. Soft drinks $2.49 with free refills. Regular sides are the same price but $1.50 upcharge to substitute. Street parking.

I've ordered cheese pizza from here at least 12 times and it always comes out differently. 85% of the time it's good. Last time I ordered a large and they tried to give me a small pizza in a large box. It was carryout and thankfully I looked in the box before leaving. I complained and they gave me a $10 gift card.

Food was great. Wine down Wednesdays - bottles at half price. Service was pleasant but a tad slow. Saw a nice patio with fire pit in the back, too!

The service and food was delicious. Indoors was very loud. A table of very loud diners didn't help the situation. Next time I will eat outside.

My friend and I showed up when it wasn't busy. Just a few people, most tables were about to wrap up. After we arrive a couple parties showed up. We waited for 15 minutes, of which the waiter ignored us and then started taking orders for people thay arrived after us. We left. It's a shame. It's a cute place, but service is disrespectful.

The server was also the bartender and the hostess. She had a smile, was as attentive as she could be for wearing multiple hats, her feet were always moving and most importantly our drinks did not go empty. I recommend eating and having some craft beer. The Pastrami Fries were also tasty. I didn't take a pic 🥺. I'm sure whatever I ordered would be good.

Best draft menu in the south side. Draft list highlights many local brews within Ohio. Food is fantastic for a tap room.
