The food is delicious if your adventurous. Lobster Ravioli is a must try. There's not a lot to offer. However it's not needed it's delicious the way it is. Not a place for children. Definitely a place for date night. The only thing that would have made this a five-star review is if the water fountains we're on. Not having them on took away from the experience. Overall good experience.

Neutral review, neither great nor bad just plain. Nothing excites me about the place. Food is just ok. Restaurant has no individual character to it. Staff was great and helpful. No issues with service. Pricey for no reason honestly. Drinks overpriced. I just went for restaurant week with a group of friends. I won't go back. I like to be excited to eat, not bored. Worth checking out if you're one of those basic pink people or just plain boujee people. No judgment lol

Let me just say this is not the first time I have been here! Decided to meet my friend for dinner and the view of everything from our table was amazing! It is winter so we didnt sit outside to look over water downtown, but we were sat by a window with the perfect view. The food was amazing my steak came out over cooked the first time but the manager did not hesitat to make it right and offered us free desserts after! I ordered steak, cheese potatoes and brussel sprouts! All tasted great! My friend ordered Buffalo chicken sandwich which was said to be to salty but dodnt return it. I will be back for sure and highly recommend this place!

This place is so nice. Great space to eat outside and just enjoy the outdoors. Great for late night dates or casual afternoon with family. Pizza is AWEMAZING. Calamari was also delicious.

Service was great, as was the food and drinks. The food and drinks are moderately priced, presented well and quite tasty. The restaurant was not overly crowded and the staff appeared to be following safety protocols for COVID, which for me is a priority.

The mushroom pizza was absolutely amazing! Perfectly cooked and delicious! I also got the jambalaya and it was very very good, but slightly dry. It definitely needs two dollups of herbed butter on top instead of one. The cocktails were not as amazing as I had hoped but the 229 Cosmo was pretty fun good and I don't even like Vodka. Don't eat the pineapple that comes in it though ;)

Excellent restaurant. Great location. Very good interior design, however floor vents blew up frigid air. The staff was nice to offer vent covers, which eradicated the problem. Parking off street was very limited. Other than these two issues, I highly recommend this restaurant. The wait staff was very efficient and friendly. The food and presentation was above board. The pricing was appropriate for the quality and quantity of food presented. The entry was handicapped accessible, as were the restrooms. This place was a definite yes! My group and I plan to return and enjoy more entrees! You should try it too, you won't be disappointed!!!

The atmosphere was great! Great place to have a drink and some good conversation. Service was excellent. We ordered the caprese pizza (amazing!) to share and our server made sure the pizza was served separately which was a nice touch. Drinks were delicious and flavorful and the food was excellent. Would definitely return!

We went for restaurant week and this place never disappoints. It was a little difficult getting to the host stand since it's right inside the door and there isn't any waiting area so guests just crowd in the door area. Once we were seated, our server was very friendly and was informative when the tickets went down and our food would run a little behind. The food, as always, was spot in delicious.

The menu is good, but not great. The meal I had was tasty though. If you’re looking for something with a lengthy diverse menu, this wouldn’t be the first stop. They seem to be understaffed with servers, because it did take a bit for someone to greet us at the door and to take our order. The server was great though. He was friendly. They offer patio and indoor seating. Overall, good place for the experience, but I wouldn’t be a regular here.

Great place to meet friends and hangout with family. Water area for children, outdoor seating, quick service and flavorful food. The jambalaya was delicious, seasoned and plated well. Good thing is their is something for everyone, including vegetarian dishes. Will definitely be back!

An amazing experience! The view was goregous, our server was lovely, and the food was incredible. Flavorful and well prepared (the steak was perfectly cooked). We had the Mac and cheese starter (Creamy and so good!) My partner had the truffle cream pasta which was so well balanced, rich, and wonderful. The dessert (their lemoncello canoli) were light and just sweet enough to end the meal perfectly. We will absolutely be back next time we're in town.

Went here with my Wofe during their Sunday Brunch. Actually, we caught the tail end of it and made it just in time. Since 2016 I have only walked by here but the wife wanted to try something different. The food ended up tasting really great. The wife was happy, I was happy, and the food thay we enjoyed was amazing.

We dined here before catching a show at the Ohio Theater. Definitely make a reservation before going. They were very busy and we had to wait a while even with our reservation. The place was clean and the service was excellent, even though they were very busy. The food was delicious! Food presentation was great as well. I recommend getting the sweet potato fries they were delicious!

Great atmosphere during early summer months. Sitting outside was perfect. Food was tasty. Service was excellent. We had a perfect lunch on a perfect day, right near the water.

This is a nice place to get a good dinner while enjoying outside, the downtown area and people watching. I’ve been here before for dinner with the girls, but their menu is always changing with some different options, so it was a nice impromptu date night dinner. Dinner was ok, but I was not impressed with the dessert options offered, nor the option we chose (banana pudding); it was decent taste but otherwise very uninspired and unappealing for the price. I wouldn’t order it again.

Amazing food and atmosphere! Would highly recommend this restaurant. It’s right by the river / river walk. Their garlic fries were great but one of the plates were a little too garlicky. Other than that-food was perfect!

Food was delicious. Varied menu offered many taste options. The chef prepared our four different meals to perfection. I had the Jambalaya which was delicious. It was cold, so the outdoor wrap-around patio,( veiwing the river and its walkway) wasn't an option (this time!). Interior was cozy and inviting. Washrooms were handicapped accessible. The server helped us with questions about menu selections. She was friendly and prompt with drinks, appetizers, etc. Menu choices were around $30 and I consider a good value. Highly recommend. I would recommend getting a reservation

For our last night in Ohio we ventured out to a different area of Columbus. We certainly made the right decision for our final dinning experience. At the Milestone 229 you have the option to dine inside or you can dine on the patio with an amazing view of the river area. First off the service was incredible. Our waiter checked in on us the perfect amount of times, not too little, not too much, the perfect amount. We started off with some fabulous German Pretzel Bread with a unique but delicious Whole Grain Honey Mustard. For our main courses we had the Lobster Ravioli and the Hanger Steak. Absolutely amazing, the Hanger Steak was cooked to perfection according to my liking and my beautiful date raved about the Ravioli. The side dishes that came with the Hanger Steak were amazing and a great compliment to the steak. Our waiter brought us the desert menu although we were to full to indulge the option sounded incredible. All in all, I can't think off a better place to wrap up our time in Columbus. The truth is every dining experience we had was great with delicious food; however the Milestone 229 was a step above. Highly recommended!

We went here for my friend’s birthday. She and I split the NY Strip steak dinner. It was perfect. The steak was served medium rare, and they split the meal for us. It was served with mashed potatoes and asparagus. We shared burrata for the table. My husband had sous-vide chicken with gnocchi, and roasted mushrooms. And my friend’s husband had the Salmon Nicoise that he loved!!! We loved Milestone 229, and it’s been a long time since we have visited. But now that we moved to Columbus, we will be back! Our server, Casey, was very attentive and checked on us often. The only thing was, she forgot to bring us extra bread for the burrata. But everything else was perfect!

Milestone 229 is an exceptional choice for an evening in downtown Columbus. The most delightful part of our meal was the soup of the day, which happened to be Cream of Chicken with Mushroom that night. It was so rich and impeccably spiced and flavored. I recall saying: “This is the best soup we have ever had” to our attentive and very kind waitstaff, including Kate and Courtney. We also had the House Salad, which was impressive. From beginning to end, each part of the meal was split for our table of 2. For our entrees, we selected Shrimp and Grits AND Short Rib Pasta. The shrimp were extremely fresh and accompanied by a slightly spicy, but clearly chef-created and delightful tomato-based sauce. The Short Rib Pasta included wonderfully tender beef pieces and pasta along with a mild cream-based sauce. We thoroughly enjoyed both and would highly recommend either. The location of this restaurant is just a bonus, riverside with plentiful outdoor seating and a gorgeous full-window circular design. It is a splendid experience that you will surely delight in. Enjoy!

My husband and I went there for our anniversary and we did not enjoy the experience. My husband made reservations and informed them that we were celebrating our anniversary. When I came in the hostess acknowledged it and said happy anniversary . And that's where it ends. The waitress took my drink order and it took 15 minutes to recieve it. The food was good. When the waitress gave us the check my husband asked her if they celebrated anniversaries or birthdays . She then informed us that they do and asked if it was my birthday. My husband informed her that it is our anniversary and she said that she didn't know and that the hostess did not tell her. She took the desert off our check and wished us happy anniversary. I will not return for that type of celebration.

Had the Mushroom pizza and it was amazing! We aren't from the area so unfortunately we couldn't take leftovers home but we sure wish we could have! The building is really cool, our server was lovely, and we would definitely go again!

This is our second time here, and it was very nice. Loved the food and atmosphere it’s a cool restaurant with a cool downtown vibe. We have the pretzel bread and shrimp tacos, both were amazing! I had the 229 cosmo and my husband had a bourbon. We split a pizza and it was great!

I have been here a couple times and there is always great service. Andrea was my waitress this time and the experience was great (per usual). I ordered the Chicken in a Biscuit ($14) and it was really good! I also tried some of the chocolate cake which was amazing! The atmosphere here is nice, you should check it out.

Milestone 229 is an excellent venue with super food. We have eaten dinner there four times and enjoyed our experience. Milestone has terrific views of the Scioto Mile. We have not sat on the patio, but we love the views from inside. We go on week days and have never had a long wait. Our servers have been attentive, without hovering, and have been personable during our visits. The food has always been super. The Buffalo Chicken is outstanding, with just enough spicy tang on the giant chicken breast. The crab cake is good-sized and delicious with a choice of sides. The pork chops with wild mushroom green bean sauté, smoked bacon, roasted red skin potatoes, and apple chutney is fabulous. Don't miss the chocolate cake as the desert is massive. If you have not been, you should give them a try. If you have been, it might be time to return: a great date night or a place to meet friends.

First time here. Food was good. Had the pretzel sticks for an appetizer, my family ordered Ham Sandwich, Ceasar Salad and the 229 House Salad. Everything was great!

  • 5/5 Anthony R. 8 months ago on Google
Food was amazing especially the Shrimp Tacos!! The atmosphere was great! Would've been better if the fountains were working but still a great view of downtown! Our waiter wasn't that great unfortunately. We had to ask for silverware and straws. Also had to keep waving him down for other things. All in all, it was a great experience! We will be back!

I was attending a nearby summit, and decided to stop by with a friend during our lunch break. The ambiance was refreshingly open and bright. Staff was friendly and attentive from start to end. I opted for the Lemon Chicken Pasta and it was really good. The shredded chicken was tender, the pasta was well cooked and the punchy feta and artichoke pieces were a bright point. I did grab the S&P shaker a few times, as the sauce needed it for me. But, otherwise was very enjoyable.

Went here for brunch and really enjoyed the meal and the outdoor seating. It’s a great setup if it’s nice weather! They have tons of drink options and great dishes as well-especially for brunch. Definitely recommend the egg and bacon pizza and the biscuits and gravy.

Horrible service. I do not want to take away from the ambience and the meal so I gave this place 2 stars, but our waitress served a member of our party a drink and never came back. Luckily Freddy, the manager, stepped right in and helped us the remainder of our meal. We got there at 6 and at 707p we finally had to track someone down to take our order so we could eat. When we finally did get our meal, I was really impressed with the plating and the taste and tenderness of the steak.

  • 5/5 Danielle P. 6 months ago on Google
Food was flavorful and unique. Service was professional and friendly. Would definitely return! We had a gluten-free member of our party, and the chef was able to amend the Shrimp Taco appetizer. We got it grilled instead of fried, and it was out of this world. The aïoli was creamy and delicious, the cucumber relish was refreshing, and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. We also got the Spiced Cauliflower. Flavorful and well balanced, the curry was creamy with just a hint of heat. The cauliflower was crunchy, and the rice was smothered in curry sauce — such a yummy combo. Our server was Andre, who was a delight. He was friendly and full of laughter, and he made right what the kitchen got wrong at one point, and they did not charge us for the mistake. The portion sizes were generous. We happily ate just the fish tacos and curry cauliflower for the two of us. And it was plenty of food. We ate outside and were hoping to get a view of the river, but it was more like a view of the bridge and the street. Also, one of the reasons we ate outside is because the inside of the restaurant had a slight dirty, dishwater smell. I’m not sure if that happens a lot or if this night was a fluke. Overall, the food was so good and unique and flavorful that we would return in a heartbeat.

The food and service is consistently good. Wide variety of food choices from very healthy to comfort food. They have the best hummus in town. Great restaurant! We had an appetizer with cheese and fig stuffed bacon (delicious), fresh pickels, hot pepper pimento cheese with crackers, and herb roasted cashews (WOW! - yummy).

My husband and I have always wanted to try this restaurant. Well we went for a lunch date the other day and I can say we were not disappointed. The restaurant manager waited on us and was beyond friendly and attentive, I believe her name was Danielle. Our food was delicious and the drinks were great too. I ordered the shrimp and grits and my husband ordered a burger. We also had calamari as an appetizer. Everything tasted so fresh. My husband absolutely loved the craft beer. We will absolutely be returning.

Chicken with mushroom, spinach, ham, over pasta and a creamy Alfredo sauce. It was so good and the portion was so huge that I literally ate off of this for three meals. Prices are very good for the portion sizes they give you! Would definitely come back here again to try other options. The menu is huge.

  • 3/5 Danielle T. 3 years ago on Google
The ambiance here is really what draws you in, the restaurant is absolutely beautiful. The staff was very friendly and the drinks were great. I asked for something sweet and they suggested the patio punch which was great! The food was kind of underwhelming though. I had the short rib pasta and while it was cooked well, I felt it was missing some flavor. I will likely come back to try brunch but when the weather is nice I will definitely come back for drinks during happy hour!

My buddy comes here often for lunch and likes their Turkey Melt and Buffalo Sandwich. They actually have a decent bourbon, wine, and beer selection and the menu was well rounded with good variety of choices. I ordered the Buffalo sandwich with garlic fries and had the calamari for an app. I would order the same items again, great flavor.

Drinks were fine but that chicken dinner is flat out nasty. Chicken was dry and had a nasty gravy' the string beans were unseasoned and the mac n cheese was horrible

The atmosphere here is amazing. We most recently went during the winter, and the space is gorgeous, but it really pops during the summer when the patio is open. They did a decent job of segregating diners during Covid but there are tables where I'd feel uncomfortable taking off my mask. The food is good, but not original. I had a decent steak and my wife had a good short rib pasta. The drinks were good and the banana pudding was excellent. Overall it was a little overpriced for the product, but I would highly recommend visiting for drinks and apps during the summer.
