The ambiance here gets an A+, and it's definitely suited for a special occasion. I've visited twice and had all positive experiences. Service is excellent. As for the food: I'd call the veal martini a perfect dish! That sauce the veal was soaking in is plate-lick worthy, and meshed well with the prosciutto and greens. The tuna tartare was quite tasty with good, bright flavors.. 7/10 dish. Chicken parm is a classic, but that pasta baked on top of it took it to the next level.. 8/10 dish. This place is tucked away from most of the Short North action, but don't drive past too fast; it's a gem!

Highly recommend Martini for any special occasion, our waitress was splendid and discounted my dessert for my birthday. Well worth the price and the visit.

Food was extremely hit or miss. Either the ideal version of that dish, or a below average, overpriced meal. Bread and pesto was really good. And that’s from someone who doesn’t particularly like pesto. 7/10 Mozzarella and tomato appetizers was delicious and a classic. 9/10 Lobster risotto was really good. I would order it again.9/10 Martini salad was just like a saladified version of the mozzarella and tomato’s, and it works really well. 8/10 The Caesar salad was not good. Tasted subtly of gasoline. The croutons were perfect. They weren’t too hard they weren’t too soft perfect for sparing with a fork. Probably would have been better with chicken.4/10 The picatta chicken was bursting with flavor and was the best chicken I’ve ever had possibly. 10/10 Chicken Parmesan was nothing to write home about. Not bad, not memorable. 6/10 The salmon was bland and the texture was a little overcooked. the sauce it came in was weak and watery. The only enjoyable part of the plate was the ravioli. Which brought some much needed flavor to the meal. Nonetheless the fact that the salmon is 41 dollars turned a disappointment into an insult. 3/10 If I ever end up on death row my final meal will be the mushroom ravioli. I didn’t know mushrooms could taste so flavorful. It was rich and hearty. It honestly had me nearly tearing up after how miserable the salmon was. 10/10 The pennette alla vodka was the best pennette alla vodka I’ve ever had. 9/10 The tiramisu was my favorite of the desserts. It had notes of coffee which really complimented the whole design of the dessert. 8/10 The vanilla brûlée was just that. It wasn’t really notable.6/10 Chocolate torte was pretty good. 7/10 Service was good, if not a bit slow. Nothing above and beyond.8/10

If you're seeking a nice, upscale environment, this is it. It was a tad busy due to a large party of birthday guest, but, otherwise, timely service. Amazing cosmos! All of the food pictured was amazing!

Delicious food in a beautiful venue. My Chilean Sea Bass with Lobster was so good. All of our meals were so tasty from gluten-free pasta to salmon with shrimp. We had tuna tartare and calamari for appys. Loved every bite!

Everything was incredible! The mushroom ravioli really stood out and I'll be back to have it again. Great wine list, great service, and the food was excellent! We've since visited this place on a regular basis when there are events downtown. It's hardly even a second thought about where we're doing our reservations. You must try the bone marrow dish if you're interested in that kind of thing.

My girlfriend and I stopped in martini’s while on vacation for our anniversary. Food was good. Service and ambiance were great. Our server Rodney went above and beyond. The restaurant was pretty packed during our visit but Rodney didn’t let that effect the level of service. He was very knowledgeable about the wine list and also gave us excellent recommendations regarding the dinner menu. 10/10 will return during our next trip to Columbus.

We really liked this place. Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Highly recommend. Apps and desserts were perfect. I had chicken Marsala and it was ok. Little different than I'm used to but still good.

This was the best dinner we have ever had. I highly recommend it. Our waiter was amazing and very helpful and the food was delicious. I only get to Columbus about once a year, from now on this will be a must stop.

Let me start off by saying it was VERY LOUD IN THERE. Honestly we wanted to give a better rating but sadly it all fell down to our server named Amy. She was terrible. We asked for straws for our drinks. She only brought us 1 straw and said sorry that's all we have. We actually had to cut the straw in half. Then we went to the bar to ask for straws and she watched us doing this then came out of no where and laughed saying I forgot about those straws. They gave us 2 thin straws which we appreciated. Our waitress brought our utensils but placed them unwrapped in the palm of her hand and then rubbed them across the table touching the table! We were horrified seeing this because we were thinking about germs! I was recovering from strep throat and so we both were horrified to see how careless she was when it came to giving us our additional utensils she kept giving us our items by rubbing them across the table under the palm of her hand. Which at this point we did not feel comfortable eating the food. She was very late about bringing out the birthday cake surprise for my girlfriend. I had to ask for the check more then once, in which she had on her the whole time. We sadly left the entire meal nearly all in tact. We went to the manager for help a couple times. He was great. Also our sitting arrangement was terrible. I asked for a booth seat and they told me they didn't have booths. I asked for that in our reservation or to have a secluded seat if possible. They said they didn't have anything like that available. Very tight seating

Okay, let's start with the good news. The good news is it's a great atmosphere. It's loud though it's extremely loud. So if you're looking for a quiet dinner romance with your significant other, this is definitely not the place. It's extremely loud next if you are looking just to go out and have a drink maybe you want somewhere else in ate and you just want to come out and and you know get a drink. You could do that here. Now the drinks are probably about 3 to $4 higher than anywhere else on high Street, but you are paying for that atmosphere. It is nice when they open the window on the summer. But again, that's that for food not the place. Everything is overpriced. Every meal I've ever had there was really overpriced and we just got it just to try. You know something different but you know if you go it's going to be without drinks. It easy. $100 for a food. You can go somewhere else and get way better for half the cost, especially Italian food. There's a Tony's down the street that's way better and it has a quiet, romantic atmosphere. It kind of makes you think you're in a mob. Italian eatery Tony's restaurant this one no I think is just for people who want to say look at me. You know the nordbergs look at me. I'm here. Everything is overpriced now. Service service is great. Every time we go our server is excellent. They will help you. You know get whatever and they actually will tell you. Sometimes this is not a good place. I ordered a plate that they said it was heavy. It was okay but it wasn't on their favorite list just because I wanted to see you know, was it true and she was absolutely right it was heavy. It was a lamb dish, a lamb pasta dish. It was very heavy. It reminded you of beef stroganoff and yes, it was not good at all for basically $35. However, it was an experience. I'll probably never go back, not even for drinks. There's other places that you can go to that you can even get better parking at so for me it's a no. If the food was great and worth that I could do that but it's really not. The only food I would recommend would be the bruschetta. I would do the bruschetta and drinks and call it a day.

Well, we’ve had a gorgeous meal. Sometimes when a meal goes so right start to finish you wonder if you imagined it or perhaps you’re just too easy to please; the answer is no. We eat all over the world and frequently. While quite proud of Columbus growing food culture, we love these classic staples and this food stop is outstanding. It’s our second visit and we will be back. We had John our server, top tier, and it couldn’t possibly be any better. Excellent wine pairing with our perfectly fluid multiple course Italian American meal, with imagination and class and if so desired decadence; it’s certainly a hearty selection. Top 5 in Central Ohio based on the evenings plates. Thanks!

Where can I start? Let's start with some honesty. I come from a restaurant family. I love trying new places with new or old ideas. I'll keep it brief. Jack was a great waiter. The Caesar salad was okay. I discovered tonight that I hate white anchovies. Focaccia bread is something I will never understand. Give me a hot, toasted French or Italian bread and some cold yellow butter. That beats olive oil dips. But that's just me. I will never understand why it has become the current rage for everything to be sweet and savory. The Osso Bucco itself was relatively tender. The rice was okay. I prefer arborio, but again, that's me. The vanilla Brule' was to die for. Best part of the dinner. I had a 9 ounce glass of Pio Caesare, which was perfect. I saw the manager checking things all over the restaurant, which told me that this place I'd run quite well. It's a very nice place, and the check was extremely reasonable.

We've been here several times. Overall, our experiences have been very good. Service was probably the best during our most recent visit. She was very friendly, helpful, and timed the courses out appropriately. Food is typically good, but it seems to depend on what you order. The pasta dishes, especially the lasagna, are usually our favorite. However, the salmon dish was underwhelming. While cooked well, the other ingredients made the dish feel like it was missing something in terms of flavor and texture. I think it is definitely worth a visit if you haven't been, but some menu items could use a few tweaks.

Went for our wedding anniversary celebration. Very nice decor. Our server was great, very friendly, and attentive. We had the Tenderloin and the Short Rib, and they were very, very good. It is loud inside the restaurant but good atmosphere. We had a great time.

Haven't been there since Covid and went looking forward to dinner. My wife's salmon was over done and my steak said it had pasta.... I had 10 little small pieces of pasta...really not much. They were busy so service was pretty good. The atmosphere is really bad in my opinion. The place is so loud you literally have to yell to the people at your table because of the noise level. That place needs some sort of acoustic treatment. I wish I had a decibel meter and could tell what the sound level was in the place.....I bet not very good. Spent a lot of money on dinner that really was sub par. If I return hopefully it won't be for another 4 years. Spending that kind of money for the quality of the food, noise level is just not for me. Glad there are many other restaurants in town to choose from in the future.

It has been a while since the last visit to Martini's. Have to say the meal was outstanding. We ordered off the restaurant week menu. The short ribs were the best and highly recommend. I would say that since our last visit they added alot of additional seating and wasn't as intimate as the previous visits.

Visited on 1/15/24. Waitress/server was light hearted and pleasant. Food was good. The Ventian Sunset was excellent. The only thing I would note is the dust on the objects on display and the dirty air filter (box).

Not your typical Italian restaurant. Everything was amazing from the pesto with bread to grilled lemons on top of the calamari. Best mushroom ravioli. Lamb pappardelle is comfort food at its best. To top it off was the delicious bread pudding. High quality food in a fun environment.

Very good Italian food. Our favorite dishes were the Arancini, Veal Shank and Scallops. Not a fan of the Chicken Carbonara. Really good desserts as well. Definitely on the pricier side, but the right dishes are worth it.

This restaurant has been great for a long time. If you are looking for veal, their options are among the most carefully prepared in town. Great ambiance, both at lively bar with windows looking down Vine and High Street or sitting under the beautiful chandeliers in the dining area. Awesome experience

I liked my pasta, it was a sizeable portion and had a great flavor. I got bread pudding for dessert and it was delicious. I would've given 5 stars if the bread was warm. For the price I expect to be wowed by every dish.

We celebrated my boyfriend’s birthday at Martini and it was Fabulous! The food was delicious, and our waiter Justin was the best we have ever had anywhere before. Being our first time, We took many of his recommendations, and they were all fabulous, especially the wine he suggested to pair with our steak and veal entrees! We were also impressed with receiving new cutlery before every course, and the fabulous bread pudding dessert Justin brought for my boyfriend’s birthday! Overall, it was a magical night with superb service and food. We will be back!

A fabulous and filling evening. Drinks came out quickly and were made to perfection. Could have been my group but we really enjoyed each course. We each got something different and almost all plates were cleared. A surprise dessert platter came at the end just when I thought I couldn't take another bite. This evening left us all feeling special. We had a couple shoe mishaps on the way over and needed bandaids.. maybe too many.. Definitely made for a memorable evening. Thanks for being so accommodating!

I don’t know if I’ve ever had a fresher tasting tomato sauce! Shrimp marinara was simply exquisite. I eat Italian 3x a week and this one truly stands out. Not doctored up with a ton of onions, chunks of miscellaneous vegetables and herbs to hide bad tomatoes…just the brilliant fresh tomato flavor that Italy is known for.

Possibly the best restaurant I have been to - everything was just amazing - the attention to detail - the service and of course the food - I was here with my parents - and we were vegetarian with other restrictions - they prepared a beautiful vegetarian. ravioli for us with respect to the restrictions we had - and that is easily the best ravioli I have add - the sauce was perfect and so was the vegetarian penne - to top it off I had possibly the best tiramisu of my life - it was perfect - a lot of times you have desserts which are very sweet and all you could taste is just the sugar - but this one was just perfect - it is nice to go to a restaurant where people are passionate about the food they serve to their customers - this is clearly one of them - kudos!

We started with a couple Caesar salads and the Tre Colore salad and they were delicious. For our dinners we had the Lamb Pappardelle, Pennette Alla Vodka and the Butternut Squash Tortelloni. It was hard to pick a winner, they were all amazing. The pastas were cooked perfectly and the seasoning was spot on. Service was great. Highly recommended.

Every part of this meal and experience was lovely. The cocktails were well crafted, the appetizers were delicious, the meals were wonderful! I had the salmon with blue crab ravioli. It was served with a lovely broth which had subtle and complex flavors that complimented the ravioli and fish beautifully.

We took my MIL here for Mothers Day Brunch. The drinks were great and the food was great as well. Our server was super sweet and our order was prompt. Parking was a little challenge but I have the best husband that dropped us at the door and took care of that part. There is a parking garage nearby. We will definitely be back!

First time at Martini for my birthday, and it definitely lives up to the hype! HIGHLY recommend tuna tartare for the appetizer- wow. Food was excellent and the waiter (whose name I cannot recall) was great. Explained the menu items and checked on us frequently despite being busy. Will definitely be back!

My family really enjoyed this experience, as it was all very well done, delicious food, service and atmosphere. I'll admit I wasn't really expecting it to be as great as it was. Excellent service from Matthew and the rest of the staff while the scratch made dishes were all fantastic. Highly recommend.

Welcomed upon entry. It was a busy Friday night my friend and I sat at the bar we didn’t have a reservation. Bartenders were nice and attentive. I had two apple martinis they were absolutely delicious! My friend had two lemon drops and they were also delicious. Seemed like the place you’d go to after a day at the office or week. Overall a nice place. The food was very good! Highly recommend!! The short ribs flavored and cooked to perfection as was the Pennette Alla Vodka pasta with the added salmon that was pan seared very well. The lobster risotto A+!! The bruschetta was toasted perfectly tomato sauce was good (Im not a fan of the prosciutto)The chef was definitely showing out! We enjoyed our time and will definitely be back.

This was our first time going and it was a great experience. We did go early (4:30pm reservation) but was busy by 5:30pm. The service was nice and there were gluten free options on the menu (and amazing gluten free bread as an appetizer). It is pricier but it was a nice date night.

  • 3/5 Kelli M. 8 months ago on Google
I would give this a 3.5. They had certain food items that were very good but overall I wouldn’t choose to come back here when in Columbus because there are so many great options. The Chicken carbonara was a bit bland with not enough sauce. The lobster risotto was OK. The Vokda pasta was also not nearly as flavorful as I expected. We did very much enjoy the chicken Piccata and butternut squash ravioli. Fresh mozzarella was good. Server was kind and attentive but nothing out of the ordinary for a nicer restaurant.

Martini was a fantastic place to dine and have drinks! I was in Ohio for 10 days and we ate here for 4 of them it was so great! Their lasagna was to die for, huge slice, super thick and delicious. Their filet mignon was so fantastic to the point of repeat! If you are ever in the area or are looking to socialize with individuals from a trade show, Martini Bar is the place to go!

Atmosphere was really nice, food was really good too. I came by myself to grab a quick, nice dinner and I waited almost twice longer than I ate. For the food, for the check, for my wine, for someone to take my order. That was my only detractor. I had the chicken carbonara and I really liked it! My only thought would be that the chicken could use a little more flavor - it made the dish feel a little more bland. Pesto dip and oil/vinaigrette bread service was amazing! Great job 😁 Would love to come back here again.

  • 3/5 Ami 5 months ago on Google
Have been here multiple times and although the food is good, I have never been wowed. I recommended my family from out of town to try Martini, but they were also not impressed and very much preferred another restaurant down the street. I had to ask for the complimentary bread. Ordered arancini, ribeye, and osso bucco. The arancini was delightful. The osso bucco was amazing and melted in the mouth. The ribeye was ordered medium rare, but was completely raw in the center. Parking can be quite difficult, but is to be expected given the restaurant location.

Martinis is by far the best restaurant in Columbus. The food is consistently good. The mozzarella appetizer - a perfect blend of tastes. The bruschetta - with a twist of prosciutto. Any of the pastas - amazing. Favorites are lamb pappardelle and penne a la vodka. Delicious. Nice drink selection, great ambiance and waitstaff was excellent!

We were staying at the Hilton so decided to try Martini Modern since it’s right outside the doors. We were really glad we did. Everything we tried was fantastic. They have a nice drink list and the cocktails we tried were great. The craft beer list is just okay. We started with a couple Caesar salads and the Tre Colore salad and they were delicious.

This is a super cute spot with friendly service. I was tempted by instagram pics of this greek salad and was not disappointed. It was super flavorful. The waitress was very knowledgeable about the wines and helped me pick the perfect chardonnay. I will be back on a cooler day to sit on the cute patio.

I’d give zero stars if that were an option. We made advanced reservation for a large group celebrating our friend’s birthday. They gave us two tables, which was acceptable, except they were no where near each other. The staff was rude and were upset that we kept switching seats so that we could mingle with the birthday girl. Some of our orders didn’t arrive until an hour after the rest. At one point a server was putting away glasses and on a shelf across from our table when the glasses broke and shattered sending shards of glass all over our table and guests, no one apologized or even checked to see if they could clean up the glass. Apparently, my husband over heard staff complaining about another table which appeared to be a celebration of some sort also, about how they were being loud and not ordering anything other than appetizers and drinks. Spoke to the GM and corporate, both were unapologetic, rude and unprofessional.

The atmosphere was great when we got there. We were a party of 6, barely 6 feet away from a party of 10. The server was triple sat with an additional party in the private dining room. We felt slightly neglected. Drink was made too strong and took an extra ask to replace. Food was superb! Server was pleasant, but clearly over loaded.

Delicious cuisine, wonderful drinks, tasty desserts and decent coffee. • Wine pairings were great and portion sizes large, you get full easily (does help to sample some appetizers as they are delicious). • It is very loud inside. It was actually a little difficult to carry a conversation.

Delicious food , however, we will never go back there . First we had the grumpiest waitress. Absolutely no skills to work in such restaurant. Second some of the dishes were too small . We ended to pay $300 for 3 adults and a kid , we even shared our appetizers. My family go to dining restaurants very often we know the restaurants around the city , For such pricey restaurant I was expecting much better experience.

We're often seated at the mezzanine level which is a nice private table. Their steak has won several awards and my colleagues swear its the best. I've tried the calamari, chicken marsala, butternut squash ravioli and their lemon/garlic crusted fish. Everything I've tried is absolutely delicious and made with fresh ingredients.

Fantastic home-made mozzarella and gluten free bread

  • 2/5 Maria O. 3 years ago on Google
I want to start by saying, we had excellent service and attention, but I’m rating it so low because this restaurant has so much hype and good reviews that it honestly doesn’t deserve. The calamari is basically all breading with no calamari flavor. Edible The pasta was all over cooked and mushy- to each their own but as a 2nd gen Sicilian immigrant I can’t get behind mushy pasta- the drinks are okay but watered down, though I did enjoy the in-house made infusions. The waitress was incredible , kind, and accommodating when I sent back my meal. There are many far better options in Columbus.

I was there for a birthday dinner i was late to, but everyone at the table hated everything that was ordered. I didn't order, can't imagine ordering food for those prices and hating it. I guess, maybe I'll visit again under different circumstances and give a better rating???? We'll see.
