Amazing German Experience! Beers are made in house and you can get your own steins to keep on premise of wanting to. Nice menu with a wide variety of items to select from! We had the bourbon glazed Salmon with Mashed Potatoes & vegetable medley. Our guest had other dishes. Dinner came to us within 15 min or less! Our server was helpful recommending items. Unique upstairs party area as well. Stop by the gift shop!

Not a very enjoyable first experience. Unlikely to return We lived near a German colony in South America for a time and that is the reference I’m going off of.. that was an amazing experience with great food I still remember almost a decade later.. sad to say this wasn’t even a one time experience. We ordered the Munich Sampler.. Schnitzel was the best part, everything else was just okay. We also ordered the giant pretzel with three dipping sauces (only kind of liked the beer cheese). We also ordered a flight, and again, nothing really stood out as excellent. The atmosphere was okay.. giant screens everywhere, waitresses in slightly inappropriate German stereotypical dress, and “live entertainment” on a Friday night…we love places with live music but the sound wasn’t really balanced well in the room unfortunately. For what it was I just think it was way overpriced… If you’re looking for a loud place to drink a giant beer that “feels” like a German-ish experience, I guess this could be a place to go in Columbus, Ohio. That’s not our scene so we won’t be returning.

This place is always pretty solid. We only came for lunch so there wasnt many people. I had the pork shank and the bratwurst chili. I really enjoyed the chili. We also had the sampler appetizer and i really enjoyed the potato pancakes. Service was awesome. I was first of my party so the waitress sat with me and we chatted about the menu and what is the best food and what not.

German food in Columbus ... the food was tasty with very tender beef tips ... loved the fried cabbage ... sat at the bar in the big Germam Beer Hall ... I bet this place is super fun with a big group of friends!

We were there on a Wednesday evening for dinner and a reservation. We were seated immediately. HBhaus has a good atmosphere and is massive, with lots and lots of seating. Rachel B was our server, and she was super. The beer is solid German beer, so what's not to like? The food is only average. We had the Jägerschnitzel, breaded Pork Cutlet fried crisp and golden brown, topped with a Burgundy Wine Mushroom Sauce. Served with German Potato Salad, Fried Cabbage, and Bauern Schnitzel; breaded Pork Cutlet fried crisp and golden brown, topped with Black Forest Ham, Swiss Cheese, and our Signature Homemade Bier Cheese. Served with German Potato Salad and Sauerkraut, the kraut was too sweet, and the potato salad was not very tangy. We have been to local family-owned German restaurants in the area. Family-owned restaurants won out.

Pretzel was a tad bit over salted, but definitely fresh. Burger was juicy and flavorful. Beer: fresh off the tap, 5/5. Service was fast and friendly. Would come back.

We took some friends and had a great meal, the staff was polite even when as in every restaurant these days, they were understaffed. We were also patient (it goes both ways right?) and understood some mistakes made, but at the end it was a pleasant environment, and great food as usual! Will definitely come back and recommend.

It is a unique restaurant in Columbus. I came here several times and like their atmosphere full of Germany elements. There are live shows singing German country style songs. It has a wild vibe during game days. The food tasted not bad and authentic but lower than what I expected. German food is too sour for me. Their huge brewing equipments are attractive in the background. The pork shank tasted better than sausages! Very friendly service. The lager was refreshing and the German mashed potato was perfect!

We were in town for a visit and made dinner reservations for a Friday night. We were seated right away. Our server brought our drinks, my beer was great (and huge!). The food was so good. I ordered the Bauern Schnitzel and it was amazing. The German potato salad and cabbage were great on the side. For dessert I had the Apple Strudel and that was a tasty treat. Our only disappointment was there was no band. It was a truly magnificent meal and I look forward to stopping by again.

Hofbräuhaus has a perfect vibe to have great beers both inside and outside. Visited few times since 2019. I was never disappointed. I dare claim their beers are the best in town. I especially love their larger. Sometimes, we also had some foods here like a pork shank and schnizels. They will never disappoint you. Really great place to hang out with your family&friends. Servers are always welcoming and attentive.

First and last time coming to this restaurant. My gf got chicken that looks/tastes that would get from Wendy's. I got salmon that was overcooked. I'm really confused why this place has so many good reviews. Extremely overpriced for the quality of the food. I do not recommend coming here. Ps. My server was great and she took the salmon off the bill. Also, the Bloody Mary was delicious.

The food here is EXCELLENT. Servers were GREAT. It was awhile getting the food, but definitely worth the wait. The beer was perfect. Whole family had a great time. Will definitely come back here.

We really enjoyed our experience! The restaurant was nice and though a lot of people were there it didn’t feel super crowded. The service was also super good. Our server was very attentive and professional. The appetizers and dessert were the best part but I can’t complain about the entrees either.

The food was great and our waitress was awesome. There was live music that started at 5:30 PM and it was good. Overall definitely a great place if you're in the area and wanna have some fun and good food.

Excellent slice of Germany here in Columbus. It was not the best cut of meat, but it was prepared well and was delicious. Also, they added bier cheese to the spaetzle, which was pretty unique. All in all, a memorable experience. Also, you have to try a cream puff!

Beer great. Very Good service. Pretzel appetizer fantastic. Pretzel club OK. Strudel was excellent, but I didn't care for the Cinnamon sauce. I had almost finished strudel when I remembered pictures. I am old school eat your food don't take pictures of it. Plus it gets cold and I am usually hungry so I don't like to pause for pictures. I dig in. 😎

Came here for lunch with my dad and we absolutely loved it! We had Dominic for our server and he was friendly and attentive. Food was really good and it wasn’t too busy, but even if it was the place is very spacious. We will definitely come again!

If you hate German food don't go, but if you are even KIND of curious, or just like beer...and you're in Columbus, you must get here. German Potato Salad might be my new comfort food... Fair warning... beware the liter size beer. It doesn't SOUND like as much as it is, but it is...oh man it is.

Wow really loved this place and the atmosphere and their food. If you know anything about German food you know they love sauerkraut so if you're like me and unfortunately don't like sauerkraut then don't get the German potato salad lol. But man of man so they have some killer appetizers and the bratwurst are to die for. Get The Bratwursts! Sorry the food was so good I forgot to get a photo before eating it xd.

Never disappoints, especially during Oktoberfest. The biers, the food, the atmosphere. It's my version of perfect.

Apparently everyone loves it here. We had a great experience all around. If I had anything to say it be in our server asked if I wanted another beer I'd have had another.

Lovely experience! Was craving a brat and this popped up and was delighted to see the offerings. The potato salad comes hot! The chili is the perfect amount of spicy! The bavarian cream puff is suuuuper stuffed with cream. The jagerschnietzel is pounded to perfection but the mushroom gravy on it fell short, 2 separate entities instead of one flavor.

Happy, fun, neighborly atmosphere. Love the decorations and the personal steins on the walls. Quick service, friendly waiters. The food was prepared well, my husband loved the flight of beers that he paired with a sample of brats! He's already talking about when he will make the 3 hour trip back!

Visited for restaurant week with several friends and my partner. Quickly seated, atmosphere inside was very cool. Service was excellent, beer tasted good. Each course came out in a timely manner and tasted great. Migrated to the beer garden after dinner. Will definitely be back.

We have been in love with the Hof since they opened. Best potato soup. Reminds me of my Grandmas. Hit happy hour and get the pretzel bites. Make sure to order beer cheese. Thank me later. Lol

We reserved this place for a party of three ( we both, and my mum) to celebrate a special night. It’s was kinda celebratory, so my mum wanted Champaign! Otherwise, of course nobody drinks Champaign in a German restaurant and brewery. So I won’t be judging the place by it’s Champaign. The Champaign was run of mill, just a usual, cheap one. We didn’t order any appetisers. My mum got a salad with salmon. That was fantastic. The raspberry poppy dressing was the key. I wish the salmon would have been bigger. The piece of salmon was not very promising, portion wise. Otherwise, the salad was fresh and the ingredients were all top. We both ordered our staple at any German/ Bavarian place - schnitzel. We both shared a single platter. The schnitzel was fresh, hot, and juicy- topped with some mushroom gravy, and fried onion. Can’t be better! The sides were some potatoes and cabbage. Portion wise it was pretty decent for two Persons. We love it. In dessert, we got a Black Forest cake. It was good too. The cake was moist, and tasty. I love the way they decorated it. Overall, the service was a little slow. The server girl was nice. We sat inside, but there was provisions for outdoor sitting as well.

If you're looking for a pet friendly restaurant, this is your place. The staff is great with animals and made sure that they each had their own bowl of water. The food we ordered was delicious and they are generous with the portion size and next time I'm in town, I'm definitely making a stop here for lunch. This restaurant has won many awards for the food they serve.

Great find, especially if you are staying in nearby Courtyard Marriott. While primarily it is focused on the meat dishes (German cuisine), it has vegetarian menu and great Salmon dish. This time I went light, with vegetarian burger. Only to leave space cream puffs (they do offer 3 choices of cream). German music, many choices of beer and great service - Zoe was great with suggestions and timing!

Really enjoyed the experience. Such a fun visit during the soccer game with tables rooting for Germany to win! Beer was good, food was good and the staff was very attentive.

The beer was great! Food not so great. Atmosphere is good. Having lived in Germany, the beer was brewed to German specifications. The food was definitely not anything like what you get in the country. Will definitely go back for the beer though.

Our family is a bit odd, we do a Christmas get together in early October before some of us go south for the winter and while others are on fall break. Rather than think us odd, the staff colored us a Christmas tree and hung it above the pile of presents for the gift exchange. Thank You! Absolutely wonderful experience.

I really do not understand why this place is part of the Columbus Ale Trail, but it is, so I came for the stamp. Friendly service at the bar. Ridiculous employee dress code for the ladies.

👍 I recently visited Habaneros with some family and friends. Cool spot with a hip crowd. Sport-like decor, with a lot of entertaining technology for seated guests to enjoy.
