The
Buca
di
Beppo
Italian
Restaurant
Experience
(Dine-in
Edition).
While
away
visiting
Columbus,
Ohio,
for
a
work
conference,
I
dined
at
Buca
di
Beppo.
I
looked
online
and
read
reviews,
and
I
love
some
Italian
food,
so
it
was
a
no-brainer
to
check
out
the
spot.
I
read
that
they
are
known
for
their
meatballs,
so
I
was
on
a
quest
to
try
this
spot
out.
So
arriving
on
foot
at
the
restaurant
from
my
hotel,
I
liked
the
outside
view
of
the
establishment.
You
walk
down
some
steps
to
enter
the
building,
giving
a
vibe
that
you
are
stepping
back
into
time.
I
have
to
keep
it
real,
as
I
do
with
my
reviews.
But
when
the
server
was
told
they
had
a
table,
I
saw
an
eye
roll.
Nevertheless,
that
did
not
bother
me
because
I
was
on
a
mission
for
some
good
pasta.
Once
sitting
down,
I
noticed
the
lighting
was
dim.
I
also
was
greeted
with
gnats
at
the
table.
Although
the
meatballs
were
enticing,
I
ordered
Spaghetti
with
Meat
Sauce.
If
an
Italian
restaurant
can
make
good
meat
sauce,
they
can
make
anything.
I
also
ordered
a
salad
to
go
with
my
meal.
I
was
slightly
disappointed
that
bread
did
not
come
with
the
meal
or
that
they
didn't
have
a
meal
and
salad
combination.
While
waiting
for
my
food,
I
visited
the
bathroom,
which
was
somewhat
clean.
From
where
I
was
sitting,
you
had
to
do
some
traveling
to
get
to
the
restroom.
Once
back
at
the
table,
I
pulled
out
my
tablet
to
watch
some
shows.
The
server
saw
I
was
watching
something
that
resonated
with
them,
and
I
saw
a
shift
in
their
mood.
They
were
a
little
more
friendlier
and
talkative.
It
shouldn't
have
taken
seeing
that
we
share
similarities
in
the
things
we
watch
for
a
more
inviting
and
open
experience.
I
did
not
want
to
talk
at
this
point
because
I
wanted
to
watch
my
show
in
peace.
When
the
food
came
to
my
table,
I
was
surprise
by
the
presentation
but,
it
was
so
good
other
than
fighting
the
gnats
away!
When
I
say
that
food
made
me
do
the
happy
dance.
The
portion
size
was
big
and
plentiful,
and
the
seasoning
was
off
the
charts.
The
meat
sauce
was
not
too
sweet
but
a
perfect
blend.
I
received
so
much
food
that
I
had
to
take
half
of
it
home
to
avoid
getting
overly
stuffed.
So
would
I
return?
Even
with
the
gnats,
I
would
go
back.
Even
with
me
not
getting
an
inviting
feeling
upon
sitting
down,
I
would
return.
I
felt
like
I
was
a
part
of
history
eating
at
Buca
di
Beppo
as
they
had
pictures
of
celebrities
who
had
dined
there
before.
