Had an awesome time here with the family! Yeah, the pasta is lacking seasoning but the entire table needs to eat. They leave salt and pepper at the table to bring it to your taste. Really recommend this place and the pesto was straight delicious! We dipped our bread in it.

Excellent customer service. My daughter and I both got fettuccine Alfredo and it was bland sauce, not much flavor. My Caesar salad was good. Free bread and a really cool environment and decorations

We enjoyed our visit on so many levels! The food was delicious and we had plenty to take with us to enjoy later. The drinks from the bar were tasty. But the star of the show really was our server, Thomas. He was pretty busy and still provided great suggestions on our meal, multiple refills on our water, additional bread, and just all around fabulous service. His smile and care made our experience even better.

Came to this location after monster jam and was disappointed!! The food was cold and the chicken was hardly done..our server was literally no help at all when ordering for our family! Do not come to this location go to Cincinnati the service is so much better and the food is so much better and cooked!! Terrible disappointed.

Good place to eat before a hockey game! One thing to note is the restaurant is a “family style” which means items from the menu are meant to be shared. An order of spaghetti will easily feed 3-4. Pasta was good, wanted to try the pizza but the pizza oven was broken when we were there.

Fantastic food and service was just as great!! I came in for lunch and yes, that was huge!! I ended up taking food back. Flavorful spice in the chicken and the sauce was perfectly balanced. If you can, ask for Brian as a server, he was awesome for my first time dinning here!! Sits directly across from the Columbus Blue Jackets Arena. Awesome fan base to experience if you get there and a game is going on like I did. 5 Stars.

Portion description was probably a little off (we ordered what they’d say is for 8 people and had no issue eating it all with only 5 of us) but everything tasted good. We started off with the bruschetta, which had quite large cuts of tomato that don’t easily pile in the thin bread slices and the balsamic tended to sink straight to the bottom of the glass. Our group of 5 got the large lasagna and small chicken parm for dinner. Some in our group felt that the lasagna could’ve used more meat, but I’m a cheese guy so it was no issue for me. The 3 pieces of chicken were MASSIVE We were surprised when the chicken parm wasn’t served on pasta, but there ended up being just enough to feed us all. (Although the menu didn’t list pasta as a part of the meal, it seems standard to us🤷) for desert I ordered the Chocolate Chip Cannoli and didn’t observe that this was a shareable dessert - you get 3 btw - but still managed to scarf them all down. The decor is phenomenal and adds to the experience.

We went here after volunteering at the Blue Jackets game. The waiter and I think restaurant manager were fantastic! The spicy shrimp was my favorite. Their antipasta salad is really great too! The calamari wasmgood as well. I was happy we went there for a later evening bite. I would recommend it to anyone. Thank you!

Dinner was awesome. I had planned to post a photo of the food but it was so good that it was all gone before I had a chance. Travis was an awesome server and went the extra mile to make sure our dinner was fantastic.

My wife and I visited this location last night for dinner. Our server Amanda was perfect very personable. She recommended things. Explained drinks well, bought out extra napkins without us having to ask. She checked us periodically without out being overbearing. The food came out fast and was hot! Everything was great including The drinks.

Travis, the bartender, provided me with the BEST service I’ve ever had. He was personable, kind, and made wonderful drinks. He has set the bar for food service everywhere. He made me and my boyfriend have the best lunch following our blue jackets game. Will definitely come back for his service! Food was great too ☺️

Love it here... so great that it is so close to the arena for hockey games. Made a reservation and we got sat in a decent amount of time. Love the meatballs ( they are huge.... ) also had the fettuccine and it was pretty good. I actually prefer the red sauce though at this establishment. The cheesy garlic bread isn't very garlicky, but still good. Had the fried mozzarella they were awesome. A little higher priced and family style meals... warning you get alot of food... enjoy ya all...

First time here. Our friends invited us and got us into the kitchen area for seating. What an experience. Great staff, great atmosphere, great service and outstanding food. Highly recommend. the salad alone puts many franchise Italian restaurants to shame. If you leave hungry, it's your fault.

Our food was wonderful. Portion sizes are very large enough to share. Prices are reasonable. Our son is at OSU and we give him tons of leftovers when we go here together.

This place is pretty good!! The food comes in great quantities which are fair for the price, and we got our food very fast. The service was nice, and the atmosphere was good, and the decorations were very interesting. Great place if you’re craving pasta!!

Food was good. Quality wasn't as good as previous visits but it was still good. My husband had baked ziti and I had fettuccini alfredo. We ordered bruschetta for an appetizer which was pretty good as well. Ask for extra napkins for sure! The napkins are so paper-thin that they were not very absorbent. I saw they made a change and now serve actual punch bowls. Very interesting. I will have to try it sometime.

Went here for a work dinner. Got a nice new guy who said it was his first shift. Everything was fine. I accidentally left with the signed copy of my receipt. The restaurant called my coworker who made the reservations and didn’t really tell her what was wrong just kept asking how our visit was. We figured out the receipt part. So I called the next day to take care of it and to make sure the server got his tip. Called first thing when they opened and never got to a manager. Employee said they were too busy prepping an order and to call later. Called back later and offered to run the signed copy back and said I wanted to make sure the waiter got his tip. The manager was less than helpful. Said because it was the day before there was nothing we could do. I said how can I make sure he got a tip because they still billed my card for dinner. She said there wasn’t anything she could do. So for the new waiter, you did fine, I’m sorry I tried to make it right but your manager refused. Shame on them for not handling this better.

Had a reservation for 6:30 showed up at 6:00 just a little early like you normally do for a reservation on a Friday night. We were not seated till well past 7:00 p.m. . The food was really good but the hostess absolutely lied to several of us wondering why we were so late for our reservation. They are obviously under staffed on the way to our seat we passed many empty tables covered with dirty dishes.

If it weren’t for a server named Anthony, I would be giving a 1 star. The restaurant was very busy and overbooked. It was a Blue Jackets game night. So once we arrived for our 5:30 reservation they told us we wouldn’t get seated until after 6 because the servers are all overwhelmed and can’t handle more tables. Once we finally got seated, which was around 5:50, no one came to our table for over 20 minutes for even a drink order. So we decided to leave because we actually had a show to get to by 7:30 and didn’t have confidence we would get our meal in time. As we were walking out a server from another section stopped us, literally outside and asked us if he could get us seated and order complete if we would stay. He was so nice and we decided to stay. He took our order as we were walking back to our table and it was out within 6 minutes. He gave us a huge dessert for our wait and thank us over and over for staying! He went out of his way to make our night great!! He really turned it around and made it special. Anthony is fantastic and they are truly lucky to have him! A table of 12 next to us walked out as well because the server was no where to be found!

First off I would like to start off by saying Anthony was absolutely amazing! He gave top notch service, that was fast and friendly. I really cannot express how hard of a worker Anthony is as he made sure our neighboring tables were taken care of as well as our own. The food was also incredible. I highly recommend giving Buca di Beppo by Nationwide Arena a try, you won’t be disappointed and if you can get Anthony as your server!

We've been here several times and was always satisfied with our experience. Not so much last night! The waiter was impatient with us as he was explaining the menu and "family dining" experience. He also kept saying "my restaurant" (??). We ordered drinks,an appetizer and garlic bread while looking over the menu. The appetizers were good, especially the spicy shrimp! However, we were very disappointed with our entrees: The lasagna was extremely dry! It looked as if they didn't use sauce. The pizza was charred and bland for a "spicy " pizza. The waiter then presented the bill and talked about his tip several times. I was quite embarrassed by the entire experience as I spoke highly of this place and brought several family members who have never been to one of these restaurants...as well as celebrating a birthday. Maybe it was because it was a slow Thursday night, or both the waiter and cooks were having a bad day...I don't know. What I do know is that I paid $200+ and my family left hungry. I also know that we'll never return!

The Buca di Beppo Italian Restaurant Experience (Dine-in Edition). While away visiting Columbus, Ohio, for a work conference, I dined at Buca di Beppo. I looked online and read reviews, and I love some Italian food, so it was a no-brainer to check out the spot. I read that they are known for their meatballs, so I was on a quest to try this spot out. So arriving on foot at the restaurant from my hotel, I liked the outside view of the establishment. You walk down some steps to enter the building, giving a vibe that you are stepping back into time. I have to keep it real, as I do with my reviews. But when the server was told they had a table, I saw an eye roll. Nevertheless, that did not bother me because I was on a mission for some good pasta. Once sitting down, I noticed the lighting was dim. I also was greeted with gnats at the table. Although the meatballs were enticing, I ordered Spaghetti with Meat Sauce. If an Italian restaurant can make good meat sauce, they can make anything. I also ordered a salad to go with my meal. I was slightly disappointed that bread did not come with the meal or that they didn't have a meal and salad combination. While waiting for my food, I visited the bathroom, which was somewhat clean. From where I was sitting, you had to do some traveling to get to the restroom. Once back at the table, I pulled out my tablet to watch some shows. The server saw I was watching something that resonated with them, and I saw a shift in their mood. They were a little more friendlier and talkative. It shouldn't have taken seeing that we share similarities in the things we watch for a more inviting and open experience. I did not want to talk at this point because I wanted to watch my show in peace. When the food came to my table, I was surprise by the presentation but, it was so good other than fighting the gnats away! When I say that food made me do the happy dance. The portion size was big and plentiful, and the seasoning was off the charts. The meat sauce was not too sweet but a perfect blend. I received so much food that I had to take half of it home to avoid getting overly stuffed. So would I return? Even with the gnats, I would go back. Even with me not getting an inviting feeling upon sitting down, I would return. I felt like I was a part of history eating at Buca di Beppo as they had pictures of celebrities who had dined there before.

We were the 1st ones in and they were amazing right off the bat. It was our first time coming and the food was amazing and enough for 1 meal to feed 2 and still take some home leftovers. Coco, the general manager, was so kind and very informative on every question we had on catering and event possibilities. Our server Shay was THE gal to ask for! She was very attenative, well educated on the food and such a sweet soul. We will be back and we look forward to seeing them both again ^_^ Thanks girls for making our time a great one

It was our 4 week dating anniversary and we decided to go to Buca after a long day at the Franklin Botanical Gardens. We were so impressed with the food and the service that I had to write a review. Genuine service means a lot to me and the GM at this location was exactly that. It was our first time at Buca but it will not be our last. Rick was our server and he took his time with us ordering and kept a my boyfriends root beer going. Thanks for the chocolate cake! See pics below!

Food authentic, and very large proportions, so much food 1st time in yrs that I brought home food from a restaurant! Definitely worth the 💰, the waiter was genuinely nice presentable and knowledgeable. When paying with card everything is one one check at a table and cost is split @the register. Hostess was very friendly, picture and video doesn't do the place justice, it's a must go to on the list when in Columbus, Alot of history @this restaurant.

Haven’t been here in about 16-18 years but it’s the same atmosphere, fun and loud and Italian!! Our party of fourteen were celebrating our matriarch’s 83rd birthday and although the ordering of everything from drinks to appetizers to dinner was quite chaotic, we managed to have a great time. Food was fantastic and the drinks were strong! The service could have been better but I can’t imagine getting 14 people rangled to order food and drinks in any sort of orderly fashion. Then the food and drinks took longer than it should have to arrive. We were practically paying the check when someone’s drink finally came to the table. But then the Buca crew came and sang their song delivering the final dessert with gusto and fun and that made the night for sure!!

Absolutely love this place. Have only been there twice now. But we drive 2 hours to get there so it's not local. Olivia was our server, she was great.

Fist timer and it was great!!! A "small portion" will feed 2-3 people....they're very large portions. We got the baked Rigatoni. It was absolutely delicious and it came with bread.

The salad was huge but swimming in dressing. We should have asked for dressing on the side. The Pizza, which was more Flatbread style was very good. The bread was excellent. Good service.

Went to Buca tonight before a concert. I haven’t visited one in a few years… Our server Amanda P was not only excellent at wine pairing, (we secretly tested her knowledge.) She was on point with her input. We didn’t have a huge party and she helped us choose the perfect amount of food for our group. The restaurant could use some improvements…the food could be better, BUT ask for Amanda P, and I promise you will have a great experience! She is funny and engaging! She made us feel like we were dining in her home as friends! We love you Amanda!

We went to celebrate my birthday. It was a wonderful, tasty experience enjoyed by all. From the antipasto salad to the colossal brownie sundae they gifted me for my birthday, everything was delicious. Our server Hannah was fun, engaging and knowledgeable! Definitely worth the trip to Columbus!

Great friendly service:) The menu is reduced because of availability right now, however still delicious. Location is very walkable but check into wheelchair accessibility before making reservations. Hopefully, before we return the carpets are thoughtfully cleaned.

  • 4/5 Andrea S. 3 years ago on Google
Wonderful service! The appetizers and salad were great, but I wasn’t overly impressed with the stuffed shells entree. It definitely was not a portion large enough for three people (as the small family-style) portion denotes. I wish they’d design a lunch menu that’s more wallet-friendly. The three of us (two adults, one child) with an appetizer, salad, one small entree, and a kid’s meal was $100 with tip. It was yummy, but for lunch, it was way too much.
