This Update on 11.21.2023 ==== We had the distinct PLEASURE to, again, be served by Tasha! She is a 2-Star going on 4-Star... Wednesday evening 7:00pm. Must arrive early for the Chicken Cheddar Broccoli casserole! But, guess what. Because of "The Night Before Thanksgiving" there was a short- list Thanksgiving Menu. So, we "enjoyed" selecting something else....note to self; call ahead! But, Tasha made up for our plight. She even, suggested a couple entrees. Leave Tasha no less than $6 for two. Please? This Update on 11.02.2023==== It's another Wednesday evening for our Broccoli Cheddar Chicken Casserole! Linda and I selected carrots that are very tender and tasty! I choose the hash brown casserole. But, i should have asked Jacquelyn, our wonderful and attentive Server for a separate bowl to embrace the Hash Brown Casserole. Else, you receive "droppings" on your plate; not representative of a "Casserole"! Even the name suggests a serving dish with egg toppings and more than hash-browns, don't you agree? We completed our adventure with a complete CHOCOLATE PECAN PIE FOR $12.99. end of story! Keith Carey -Psalm 34 .====================== ======================== This Update on 09.06.2023==== It's another Wednesday! Had to make the 17-mile journey to our FAVORITE CRACKER BARREL. We found a new Server! Her name is Tasha! She is a 2-Star going on 4-Star! Tasha didn't miss a beat! She remembered Linda's sweet tea refill. But, she listens, has a cheerful personality, too, where being a servant will take her far in life! All, the Fall treats are revving up for your taste buds! So, see if Tasha is on staff when you visit. Leave no less than a six dollar tip, okay? -Keith Psalm 34 and 51 This Update on 03.08.23 ====== We visit on Wednesday evening for the "Chicken Broccoli Cheddar Casserole". More than 'comfort food'. Just superb; nothing like this anywhere else! Top this off with a 3-Star sweetheart name BROOKLYNNE! She is out of this world for SERVICE! And, a real, caring heart! (Try to find THAT kind of Service in an expensive restaurant!) Check out her picture by the fireplace! - Keith Psalm 103 Now. THIS is our HOME Cracker Barrel...walk in, and feel the t o u c h of Christmas - if you look the right way. But, I have to tell you about Mia - a two-Star with a pleasant smile as she knows how to Serve and make your dining experience enjoyable. Leave her your most generous tip! Next, the dinner. Linda and I tried the Sirloin Steak dinner. The "cut" of meat was EXCEPTIONAL! And, no fat was found. Every piece was savory! In fact, i didn't need any A-1 steak sauce! Enjoy the fire and the hearth. The manager dropped a real log onto the gas flames for us! An exceptional night out before Thanksgiving! - Keith Carey Psalm 100

We stayed overnight in our RV had a take out dinner, and in the morning went in for breakfast, coffee, and snacks on the road. A few other travelers did the same ...live Cracker Barrel!

You can never go wrong at Crackle Barrel. Kayla L. was our waitress who was very efficient from start to finish. We had Chicken and Dumplings and Roast Beef. Both delicious.

The food was excellent and our server was awesome. She said her name was Ty, (Tysha) She picked up every plate as soon as it was empty, kept our coffee cups full and always had a beautiful smile on her face. She was so pleasant. I could have hung out with her all day. My husband and I hope to come back again, just so we can eat the great food and see her.

I had the honor to have Cassandra has my waitress and she was wonderful! She was very attentive and helped me get over my headache by having the food I ordered within a couple of minutes. We are traveling through from Florida and stop at many Cracker Barrel’s along the way and this was the best service.

From the service to the food, I was blown away! The atmosphere is pretty neat too. I'm originally from Washington State and moved to Ohio for work, so I hadn't had a chance to experience Cracker Barrel. Let me tell you, I was not disappointed! I can't wait to come back to try the next dish!

Really good overall with a decent price. I'm usually a fan of Cracker Barrel in general and wasn't really disappointed with this location. I got the sampler dinner platter and everything tasted great, except for the ham. It was pretty dry and very salty. Not really that great. My wife got the fried boneless chicken breasts (they were all out of the bone in) and it was delicious! I love their fried chicken. Service was decent and everything was relatively clean. On a side note, we were a bit disappointed because we said we were there and for my daughters birthday (she turned 8) and that's where she chose to go, but they didn't really acknowledge it or do anything. I get maybe not doing anything for an adult, but definitely felt it would be nice to do something for a kid.

The server was fantastic and the restaurant was clean. However, not the fault of the restaurant itself, Cracker Barrel changed its menu again and every meal comes with biscuits and gravy or pancakes. Not a good choice for those of us watching our carb intake. No more turkey sausage (which was the best) for chicken or a plant based variation.

This is the third time I have ordered from cracker barrel and I've gotten the same thing each time. I got the meatloaf. This time I got the combo which includes the chicken & dumplings and the sugar glazed ham (which I shared with my dog only because I do not like ham and he eats with me). But the meatloaf is out of this world and I can't get enough! It's baked with the ketchup instead of brown gravy which is how I prefer. The mashed potatoes with sawmill gravy (or white flour gravy) which is also what I prefer and a veggie, is what hits the spot. So, cracker barrel, do not change anything about your recipes, because I would like to stay a satisfied customer! One thing, it would be nice to try some cabbage rolls..... Just sayin!

I stopped in here on the way through town during a family road trip. It's very much a typical Cracker Barrel with great service and excellent food. One nice thing about this visit: Even though it was busy with busloads of people, our party of 6 was in and out of there in less than an hour without sacrificing quality.

Had a delightful dinner there tonight. My server, Cody, is one of the best servers I've had in years. Friendly, attentive, and professional. Never had to wait for drink refills or for anything to be cleared. He even brought a double helping when my friend requested some extra gravy. I'll definitely be back soon.

Ordered the broccoli chicken dinner and there was no chicken at all! Told the waitress and she brought me another one using chicken tenders instead of a chicken breast. I also ordered chocolate milk but they were out of it so they brought me white milk and Hershey syrup so I could make my own. I should of been told they were out of chocolate milk, who wants to make their own drink when you are paying to be waited on? This place is a big joke and it is on you!

I hadn’t been to a Cracker Barrel in years and after my recent visit, likely will not return. Myself and my two young children were seated fairly quickly with no wait. We were greeted by a waitress for almost 15 minutes. We ordered two appetizers and 3 meals. It took us nearly 40 minutes to get our meals and the were not hot, maybe slightly warmer than room temp. The food was also very messy looking, not appealing in the way it looks sloppily thrown on the plate. I asked about the appetizers and was told they’d be out “any minute”. Fifteen minutes into our meal, still no appetizers. I ask again and told the same thing. We never received them and they were just removed from our bill. We didn’t get asked about refills and when I asked for silverware I was brought one single fork….for 3 people ? 🤨 I was told the kitchen had only two cooks and that was why service was less than stellar but it doesn’t explain the lack of attentiveness from our server who seemed flustered and overworked. The restrooms were so gross. Urine all over the seats, trash on the floor and no toilet paper in at least two stalls.

Completely different experience when you order to go vs. in-house. I asked, repeatedly, for brown gravy and no country gravy because I don't eat pork. What comes slathered on my chicken? Country gravy. I scraped the gravy off because I'm so hungry. All the sides were so small, like 1/4 filled in their cups. Very cheap. And no biscuits or corn muffins provided in the bag.

We dined at the 1313 Hilard Rome Road, Columbus, Ohio, location on Sunday afternoon. They were not busy today. We were seated right away. The food came out in about 15 minutes. We both had the chicken dinner with 2 sides and ice tea. The chicken was good. I had mashed potatoes and gravy with coleslaw. The potatoes were not warm, and the coleslaw left a bit to be desired. My wife had the hashbrown casserole and apples. Her potatoes were ice cold. We sent those back, and they just threw them in a microwave. We had to ask for refills and had to ask for dessert. The dessert was atrocious. My chocolate cake was actually a coke flavored chocolate cake. We didn't get our menus back. The waitress just told what they have. My wife had the cheesecake, and seriously, it was not much bigger than a silver dollar. We had to ask twice for a to go box. I think this server was having a really bad day, or she needs to be re-educated about what being a server is all about. Not to mention that our table was not clean as you can see in the pictures. We travel substantially, and we have not had very good luck with Cracker Barrel. I realize help is hard to find, but really? This is not what we used to experience with Cracker Barrel. It used to be good service and good hot food. Not so anymore. It is sad. I always like to give good feedback, but not in this case. The store and atmosphere in the restaurant were the best parts of our experience.

I am physically challenged. I drove to Hilliard to place an order that someone might bring it out to me. I was told that I would have to place the order online and pay for it to get curbside service. I did that. Mind you, there was no where online to specify that I wanted curbside pickup so I placed the order and afterwards I called and requested curbside pickup. I was then told that I didn't request curbside and they couldn't bring it out to me. She stated that they were very busy and couldn't bring it out. I asked to speak with a manager but the manager was busy also. I can't imagine what could have been going on when there were only 12 vehicles on the lot.

The steak and egg hashbrown casserole was amazing. The additional of the fried onions gave it the perfect crisp and added a depth of flavor. Steak was cooker perfectly.

Usually I like this Cracker Barrel, but dinner tonight was a disaster. There were 3 managers around and it wasn't busy. It should have run smoothly. It took over 45 minutes to get our food even though other diners who came in 30 minutes after us were being served their dinners. Then we were told that the sugar ham one of us ordered was frozen. Could we order the breakfast ham or another entree? Our waitress was nice, but she openly sneezed 4 times so loud that the entire restaurant heard. We probably should have left the first half hour. My question... how did this happen with 3 managers on site? It will be awhile until we visit this Hilliard restaurant again.

Always love a Cracker Barrel. Our waiter wasn't on top of his game but we all have bad days. Chicken and dumplings were watery compared to normally. I kept looking at my meatloaf wondering if it was done, as it was pretty pink, but I assume they use meat thermometers a d I didn't get sick thankfully. But all in all a decent store.

The service of the waitress saved our birthday meal. Really disappointed otherwise. The prices are up, the portion size is down and the kitchen is putting out food that is cold. Such a decline from all of our previous visits throughout many years. We will probably be cutting this restaurant from our list of favorites. So very good for so many years. On a Friday late afternoon there were only seven diners in the dining room. Perhaps other regulars have had similar experiences. So sad.

Placed an order online add got message order will be ready at 6:45pm. Arrived at 6:50pm. Order wasn't ready until 7:15. Take it out to my truck and look through the bag and items are missing. Go back inside and informed cashier. She paged a carryout person ( the same one that handed me my bag). I explain I am missing a side and the biscuits. He points to the reciept where it is written "don't have" and says they may have some now. Never once was I informed of items being "out of stock" or offered a alternate item. Had I gotten all the way home I would have been extremely upset. Do better CB. I'm ok if I was told they were out of items and either an alternate was offer or a reduction of my bill, but nope. In the end they did fill my order and for that I say thank you CB.

Ordered Cracker Barrel the other day, sounded amazing, was looking forward to it. Got home, it was a swing and a miss. Did not taste very good at all. Didn't even save the leftovers. That tells you all you need to know right there. Giving a 4, even though the food was less than that. Hoping this was a fluke and someone having an off day. Will try again.

CB is usually my go-to breakfast place. On Sunday, October 8, 5 of us went for breakfast. I put our name in around 10:40 using the online system. It said wait time was 10 minutes. Okay cool. We show up, check in with the young lady at the podium, ask how long and she has this confused look on her face and says "uh, 20 minutes?" So we wait. And wait. Check again and told yet another 20 minutes. By the time we got seated, about an hour elapsed. It took awhile before someone waited on us so we ordered food and drink at the same time. We're told biscuits would be out in 3 minutes. We never got those biscuits. Our meals arrive and there's one plate that is not ours, but the waitress leaves it for us anyway. I was supposed to have biscuits and gravy with my meal. When I asked about it the waitress said they're coming up (guess we were still waiting on those 3- minute biscuits). We had to ask for silverware. And then we waited for said silverware while our food was getting cold. I heard another customer make a comment about the condition of the restroom. Glad none of us used the facilities. Needless to say, we just wanted to eat and get out.

Worst food I have ever gotten at a Cracker Barrel. Green beans tasted like they came right out of the can. Same thing with the peach Cobbler-peaches looked and did not taste like they were cooked in the cobbler. I wanted chicken fried chicken and was told “they didn’t thaw out any chicken that morning’. Really? I placed my order at 830pm. They could not have thawed out chicken by the evening meal?

I ordered from the breakfast menu. My grandson ordered from the lunch/dinner menu. The server was very accommodating when we asked for the wild berry iced tea to be mixed with regular iced tea, mine unsweetened and his sweet. The food arrived almost exactly as ordered. He had asked for a salad without tomatoes and received it with tomatoes. However, it was not a problem as I ate his tomatoes. The biscuits with apple butter were delicious, as always.

Let me start by saying our waiter was phenomenal! Now... the kitchen was out of EVERYTHING! It took an hour to get our meals, and then one was wrong. No, interactions from the management . They just let the wait staff explain everything to the customers about the wait and no food available. Customers should have been told before they place their orders. Never again!!

First time I have been to Cracker Barrel in several years. They were greatly understaffed. Everything took so much longer than expected. Drinks took almost 10 minutes. Appetizers almost 20 and they were cold. Dinners came in almost 30 minutes and out of 5 at our table, only 1 was correct. Some had sides mixed up and mine was missing a side and the fish. We moved around the sides and the manager came out to tell me there was no more fish... But then they found some... And it was cold. Our server was taking care of several large parties, and the manager was running around apologizing and trying to fix issues. We were with family, so we just visited through it all. I wish the experience was better, but I got to hug my family so...

As a loyal fan of Cracker Barrel restaurants since we first discovered them in TN in 1999, I felt completely let down on January 17, 2023, when my Granddaughter and I stopped mid-afternoon at the Columbus, OH; Hilliard Rome Road restaurant! It was approximately 25% filled with people, which should have been a hint. Always loving the gift shop, total let down when I learned that the only mirror for trying on merchandise was in the Ladies Rest Room! Seriously?!? We were seated immediately because the restaurant was less that 50% occupied. A very loud and abrasive female, whose name I will not publish, was our server. When our food finally arrived, mine was so overcooked, it was not edible. I had ordered the fried shrimp. Totally overdone! A backup employee who was helping get the food out, told us that they didn’t serve cocktail sauce with the shrimp. Customers were expected to eat the fried shrimp as served with no condiments. When I persisted and asked her to check with the kitchen, she did, and came back to the table with packets of cocktail sauce and her apology! Having finally decided that I’d had all I could handle of this disappointing nightmare experience, I requested a to-go box, we paid and left. Don’t know why I asked for the box, only to bring home the inedible overcooked food and deposit it in my trash can. 😢. Rest assured that my family and I will never visit this particular CB restaurant again … ever. 😢😢😢

I have great memories of this place with my grandma. We came for dinner the other night. Our server was incredibly nice, and everyone there working was nice, too. It was clean and fast, for the most part. I only removed one star because my fork was dirty and my daughters meatloaf was raw in the middle. But everything else was amazing.

The food was delicious as expected. Although the waitress was very nice it would have been better if she had brought the food in a timely manner. She came by our table and told us the food was ready and she would bring it shortly. It was at least 5 minutes, maybe 7 before she brought it and by then all of my food was barely warm except for the okra which was hot. Had it not been for that I would have given all fives on everything.

Went around 1pm on a Sunday so me and my partner figured it'd be busy, so we reserved a two person table 25min ahead of time. Got there told the hostess and she told us to wait while they cleaned the table. Stood off to the side looking at the candy and drinks as she began to seat other people. When we said something again she said she thought we left. Our server was great with how busy it was but our food not so much. Our biscuits were undercooked and I ordered a sirloin steak medium rare, it was so well done it was dry and chewy. Said something to the waitress and she put me in another order for a medium rare sirloin. At this point it had taken so long we had to go and I asked for it to go, my steak was once again well done, dry, and chewy. My partner got the country fried steak, I'd suggest if you ever plan on getting steak from a cracker barrel you expect it to be well done.

Terrible service and leadership. Will probably never consider Cracker Barrel again. Registered online for the wait list. The computer system indicated that it would be a 15 min wait. We arrived in 10 min and checked in with the desk as we were instructed on your website. We waited 30 min and checked on our table and were instructed that the wait is beyond their control. After 55 min, asked to speak to the manager who indicated that they can't control if big tables come and put their name in before we arrive. What is your purpose of your check ahead system if you allow others to go ahead? I understand that I was probably frustrated, but the manager didn't even attempt to make it right or be sensible in explaining the situation. Also, heard 2 additional customers complaining about their wait and how long their wait was supposed to be compared to their actual wait along with one individual leaving because he sat at his table for 20 min and didn't ever get a water. I understand today's workforce and how everyone is understaffed; however, we left your facility and went over to Waffle House and experienced a much different atmosphere. Manager working with her team and working hard to get their customers served. Maybe you should re-evalute your online system for checking in, managing tables and your over all management of the service of your restaurant.

Food was great! People in gift shop were super helpful finding a shirt in the back we saw on the mannequin. Only slight disappointment was after asking the waitress if grits could be substituted she said yes for an upcharge, but then when I ordered she didn't even mention it and gave me grits which I previously said I didn't like. I know that seems stupid, but it was a bit lacking professionalism she didn't remember the comment I made less than 2 minutes earlier, and didn't make any effort to offer me something else. I was a server for 13 years and I always made sure my customers were happy and knew all their options.
