This is my favorite downtown cafe! The owner is such a pleasant man. From his pastries, decor and tremendously large drink selection... he brings a piece of the UK to central Columbus. The macchiato is amazing! They also have 60+ tea flavors, floats and more. 3-6 is happy hour 😁 some pastries are only $1. P.S. they use REAL CHOCOLATE in their drinks and the

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this little hidden gem in the city 🌈 the eats and treats are made fresh and they have soups and sandwiches to die for. They have a special everyday and if its on the board have the seafood bisque 😊 I'm getting hungry! The owners/staff are so great even though they are busy they always take the extra minute with you and it makes me feel special. Don't forget to try the bread pudding it's a must have grandma and family recipe but you'll have to ask who's grandma Olive to find out.

Really tasty cappuccino, served in a nice glass mug, even comes with a spoon and napkin (for Columbus that is almost worth mentioning). Can't really find anything to complain about - can't go wrong with this place for a coffee in downtown I'd say!

I didn't think food of this quality existed in downtown. Classic sandwiches and soups and other fare for surprisingly reasonable prices (chips are only $0.75!) and everyone was very nice. I had the BBQ beef and cheddar sandwich which was the special of the day, and it was the perfect portion for a lunch under $10. Highly recommend.

A charming experience, lovely art work and great comfort food. Baked goods are tasty and the croque madame was delicious. Reasonable portion sizes and a friendly staff. I am looking forward to their new location further up Gay.

I really don't think their coffee is that good here personally, so that's why the 3 star rating. The coffee is not very flavorful and the beans seem a little burnt. However, it is in a great location and the inside is adorable!

Absolutely the BESTHot Chocolate in Columbus! (It was so good I drank about half before I thought to snap a picture). Very goof coffee as well. Cafe Phenix isn't just an espresso shop though. They have a great selection of housemade pastries, soups, sandwiches (Get the Croque Monsieur 😉), quiches, salads etc. Service is always warm and friendly. You're likely to catch Gary the owner most days. Wonderful conversationalist in addition to being a solid barista. Parking can be a bit of a challenge at times but you can usually find a meter even if it's a block or two down.

We came in this morning very hungry and needing a hot beverage. We ordered some of their sandwiches which were delicious. There is some kind of sauce on them that has some kind of herbs and is sweet and tangy it is so so good on the hot sandwiches! Also had some pastries muffins were excellent very moist and flavorful but not artificial. The fruit crush smoothie was tasty and refreshing and i enjoyed that there is no extra sugar added. Service was spectacular, cant wait to bring my family and friends here in the future!
