We tried this place for the first time today and we will definitely be back! The Cuban sandwich is fantastic as are the chicken sandwich and the tacos. The empanadas we had as an appetizer were great as well. Topped it all off with a delicious not-too-sweet flan.

I liked the food, what more is there to say. I had the vegetarian plate which was beans and rice and three banana based foods none of which I had seen before. One was some kind of roasted banana, one was deep fried banana, and one was some kind of taco made of/with banana? Can't wait to come back and try some of their other foods! Also I like they're Pacifico beer.

I came here for brunch today. The shredded pork was amazingly good, very sweet and tender. The plantains were perfectly prepared. I tried one of the Cuban sodas as well and enjoyed it. The staff was super friendly and answered all of our questions about the food. Definitely check this place out!

Excellent food and a fantastic staff. Easily the best Cuban I've had outside of Florida, even though it didn't have salami (like a proper Cuban!) I jokingly complained about this to the owner and she promised to have some for me the next time I came in, which I hope will be soon.

There is a sign in the window stating the property is available and it was locked up. Very sad...

Authentic cuban food in Columbus. Possibly one of the best stops for delicious and comfort Cuban food around town. It’s cozy and relaxing with latin music playing is the background. The empanadas are crispy with a moist filling of chicken or ground beef. The ‘Plato con Lechón’ is my favorite. The Latin flavors are abundant and they surely satisfy the craving for authentic Cuban cuisine! The Cuban sandwich is indulging and satisfying. Will definitely come again.

Great customer service and food. Decent prices for the servings. Our waitress was friendly. Plantains are absolutely delicious. The empanadas are probably the best I've ever had. I'd come back just for those alone.

I was amazed to find a Cuban restaurant in Columbus, Ohio, and a really good one at that! We had plantain soup which was delicious! We had the Cuban sandwich, steak sandwich, a frita, and the roasted pork entree. The Cuban sandwich and roast pork were especially on point! We sat outside and it was a lovely Sunday afternoon. All in all, we had a fantastic visit to the Plantain Cafe and look forward to visiting again the next time we're in Columbus.

Service was good. Food and flavor fell a little flat though. A little basic seasoning would go a long way. Sauce for the tostones seemed like watered down lime concentrate.

Great location, great Cuban sandwiches, and even though the cafe Cubanos aren't exactly what you'd get in a place like Miami, they're still very good. Definitely recommend.

Ended up here after trying to go to the Tip Top, and glad we did. Service was great. Food was really good. We both ordered the burrito bowls and thought that they were wonderful. Out in about an hour at lunch time, recommended!

The food is amazing and authentic. Our server was the wife of the chef/ owner. She was (obviously) super knowledgeable about the menu and favorites. I loved it so much I took someone the week after! They have only a few tables but it never feels overly crowded or loud.
