I ended up here for my son's wedding celebration dinner... The food was very nice and the presentation was beautiful! It's a very nice looking restaurant, it also has a very large bar for those who care to have a drink or two and some tapas...

We were not overly impressed w Barcelona. The wine selection was amazing but the food left much to be desired. We only had salads (which were good) and tapas but the portions of the tapas were ridiculously small to be a shared plate. I actually thought they forgot some of the food! I had the grilled shrimp and he had the lamb and for the quantity/price it was honestly something I could make better myself. The paella is said to be very good but we didn’t have the chance to try it . The atmosphere was very pretty and I love that they offered flights of wine so you could try different ones. We would happily go back for an evening glass of wine but would sadly pass on the food.

We celebrated a birthday here on a Sunday afternoon and the dining experience at Barcelona was one of the best that I've ever had! The restaurant is located in a quiet neighborhood but what's amazing is the outdoor seating is so well designed that you don't feel like you're sitting in a neighborhood. The vibrant plants, shading, and music make it feel like you are somewhere tropical. For food, we ordered the Ensalada de Remolacha (beet salad) and several Tapas including the Hummus, Calamres Fritos, and Manchego en Escabeche. The main course was the Paella Barcelona. Flavorful does not even begin to describe how this food tastes. Everything was appealing to the eye, delicious, and refreshing. Our entire group was 5 people and we barely finished the Paella Barcelona. I would say the perk of going with a large group is you get more variety. For desert, we had the grand desert plate and they even hooked us up with an extra birthday cake for the special occasion. Last but not least, the service was all around incredible. The staff were very kind and attentive and not afraid to make recommendations, which I greatly appreciated cause I haven't had a lot of Spanish Food. Overall dining experience was 10/10 and would definitely come back the next time I visit Columbus.

Wow! Amazing atmosphere, food, drink. I've been here more than any other restaurant in Columbus, it's become my go-to when I'm visiting. I especially recommend the happy hour available at the bar from 4-6pm. It's a great way to sample how great this restaurant is and not break the bank.

Last Valentine's Day we were in Barcelona, Spain so this year we went to Barcelona the restaurant. The tapas we ordered were really good, as well as the sangria. I ordered the Paella de Mariscos and the flavor was good. The scallops were perfectly cooked but there were only two. My fiance ordered the Paella Barcelona and unfortunately this was a disappointment. It tasted like tomato paste and rice with no flavor. Service and ambiance were nice, will probably just come back for tapas.

Barcelona’s patio area bops. I decided to get some lil tapas on their patio one evening last week because it was drizzling ever-so-lightly and sunny, which is the best weather in which to eat outside. Everything I ordered hit the spot!

We love Barcelona for its unique food. We have gone so many times since moving to Columbus for our anniversary and we've never been disappointed. The staff is awesome and we love the patio ambiance. Highly recommend if you can appreciate the things listed above and smaller dishes. It's like a party in your mouth. My opinion leave the kids at home.

Incredible food, worth the money, although it was a little on the pricey side, it was very high quality. Drinks were great, too. Top notch service, especially from Lucas! He made excellent recommendations for food and drinks all throughout the evening and took my dietary needs into account. Will definitely come back.

Ambiance of the restaurant is fantastic! We came for the Paella and weren't disappointed. I'd rate the dish a solid 7 out of 10. The dish only had 2 flaws IMO. Seafood Paella should include a lemon wedge or two. The dish was a little loose and lacked the traditional layer of crusty deliciousness we all love.

I visited Barcelona to celebrate my wedding anniversary; so we decided to try their Pre Fixe Menu. I think the price is really good for what I got. The foods were good but I am not very familiar with the authentic Spanish food, so most of the dishes I tried were pretty new to me. One thing that's kind of disappointing was the presentation of the food. Some of the dishes were served with sauce all over the plate's rim. It's not a big deal, but it I think they could clean it up before serving it. Overall it was a pretty good experience.

First time here, celebrating with a birthday dinner. With a heavy emphasis on the staff, service here was phenomenal! Extremely friendly, helpful and efficient. We really appreciate the fantastic experience you were able to provide. The food itself was amazing, and the wine the wait staff recommended was perfect. Thank you for the great experience, we will be coming back!

We got the fish of the day (halibut), seafood paella, and the scallops plus a carafe of red sangria, bill came out to just under $200 including tip for our table of 3. The food itself tasted pretty good, would not write home about it but generally no complaints on the flavors. However, the paella had scallops that were 2x larger than the scallops on the actual scallop dish (that had 5 small scallops, maybe 6 mushrooms and 15 beans) for $40. We love paella and try to order it whenever available within both in the states and when in Spain, and this was at the bottom of our list. In attempts to achieve crispy rice, the actual rice was undercooked and was sticking to teeth Factoring in the price, in my opinion not worth it. When I think about the times I have spent $200 on a meal, this restaurant sadly cannot compare. Glad we came, however would not come back nor recommend.

Service and food is always excellent here. I’ve never had a bad meal here. It’s always consistent and that’s also why I love it here.

We had mushroom soup, calamari frito, Paella Barcelona, Costillas and brown sugar cheesecake. For drinks, we were recommended with two sweet cocktails(strawberry and bubbly? berry) and requested mojito and two espresso martini. We appreciate our server's recommendation. Her recommendation was pretty satisfying. Not disappointing paella. The beef short ribs were so smooth and perfectly braised. Fried calamari was crispy and combination with mayo was also great. Portion was not quite large enough. We definitely recommend at least two entrees for two ppl. The big piece of cheese cake was the best though(Highly recommended). We visited this place to celebrate early X-mas cause upcoming winter storm. Great vibes and warm atmosphere, live music on Wed starting 6pm. All servers are nice too. It was worth and my wife loved this place very much.(She usually disagrees with my bit generous opinion.)

Great experience at Barcelona! We came here for a birthday and had a fun time. The ambiance and art inside was really nice, lots to look at while eating. We had the shrimp as a tapa, but it wasn’t super exciting. The paella is a must-try!! We loved the seafood in it: the clams, mussels, and shrimp were so fresh and tasty. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the sausages but that might just be a personal preference. Finally, we got a complimentary birthday dessert, which was a perfect end to the night. For the price, you get a lot of food (with the exception of the tapas), with a high level of quality.

Loved Barcelona and the staff was very accommodating in finding us a different table since we had 5 versus 4 and they were packed! Everything I had was delicious. The Caesar salad with the white anchovies was delightful! The grilled garlic shrimp - perfectly cooked and we dipped our pan (bread) in the juices - oh my word! We ordered paella, one regular or traditional and one with octopus. So flavorful - everything cooked perfectly and the rice soaks up all the flavors. We did not have room for desert unfortunately, next time! This place is expensive but it is well worth it for a treat or a special occasion!

This was our 1st visit to Columbus. Barcelona was a quick walk from where we stayed in German Village. I made reservations for late evening dinner. The restaurant was not too crowded, and we were seated 15 minutes before our set time. Our servers were very attentive and gave perfect descriptions of the menu. To start, we ordered the manchego tapas plate. It was amazing. The roasted peppers on the side stole the show. We opted for a carafe of seasonal fruit sangria. Not too sweet but a bright, refreshing sip. For our entrees, I selected the Paella de Mariscos and my guest, the Paella de Cordero. We loved them! The octopus was great. The lamb was so tender and delicious (this coming from someone that typically hates lamb). The rice has a perfect texture and is full of flavor. I highly recommend the paella. The restaurant is a bit pricey but worth every penny. Though considered fine dining, it is a comfortable environment. Note that the noise level can be high at times.

My all-time favorite here in Columbus. They have been around for a while. The chefs have changed over the years, but the overall quality, service and ambience are as I remembered the first time I dined here. My top recommendation for dining.

This place is okay. There is a back patio that is peaceful and has heat lamps so you can enjoy it on a chilly night. The service is… a little over the top, sort of posturing serious dining but casual too. Can’t really pin it down but generally awkward. We got a large snack plate and I thought the portioning was a bit off- too many olives and Marcona almonds. Other dishes were generally good. But overall I do t think I’ll return.

We eat there several times a year, this visit was last Tuesday evening; arrived during a less crowded time that featured some artwork on the walls (it soon filled up during our dinner). Our server was Jouseph, who did a great job explaining the menu options (he also corrected a small error in a tapas order for patatas bravas, which I appreciated greatly). We both had seafood, scallops for my wife and whitefish over braised greens / polenta for me. Meal was well-prepared, we selected a nice bottle of Juan Gil red blend (one of our favorites, although I do like the higher-end Monastrell, aka Mourvedre). Highly recommended to all.

Went here for an anniversary dinner with my fiancée. I put this detail in the reservation and they did have a menu saying happy anniversary, and the man who seated us wished us a happy anniversary as well, which was good. The atmosphere is great, one thing I liked was the music volume was not too loud. The service was fantastic and we were well taken care of by our waitress. We ordered red wine flight, a plate of mussels and fried potatoes to start, and all of that came out pretty quickly. I was very happy with the size of the mussel "plate" (it came in a metal container) and the potatoes too. Both tasted great, best mussels I've had for sure. We also ordered the Lamb Paella. It was easily enough to feed two people with some left over, especially after having eaten two plates. Unfortunately, the Lamb was far more rare than expected and was very fatty to the point that the vast majority of it was just not edible. This was pretty disappointing especially because of the price. However, the rest of the Paella was very good and flavorful. To end on a good note though, we did have the pumpkin cheesecake and it was incredible, probably one of the best cheesecakes I've had from a restaurant. Oreo crust was super good and the pumpkin flavor was perfectly balanced. I think Barcelona is absolutely worth going to for a nice dinner, I doubt the Lamb mistake is the norm and their food was great otherwise, as was everything else. I'd probably go for the Paella Barcelona (the seafood Paella) if I returned or was recommending to others, since they clearly do seafood well here.

I feel like I need to give this place a second try; it was good, but a little underwhelming based on my first visit. The menu excites me a lot! Not too many places to get true paella around Columbus. The one I had was not as rich as I'd expect. The chicken was also kind of dry, but there were pretty good flavors in the rice/shrimp. I want to love this place, but for now they get a half thumbs up. I'll revise this review if I come back and am impressed.

Great food but horrible service. The serve Ethan was nice at the beginning until we ordered the food. He said we did not order enough food (3 small plates, 2 breads, 1 paella) and started being rude and sarcastic. He tried so hard to push us ordering more food. We are just simply not very hungry. Finally, he rushed us for check and want to clean our table and showing really bad attitudes. It should be a nice Sunday dinner, but the service ruined everything.

The food is amazing and definitely authentic (I’ve lived in Spain before). The atmosphere is great also. The servers are very attentive and drinks are great also! Overall definitely one of the best high end restaurants in Columbus.

Beautiful warm decor with lots of character. Every plate had an interesting mix of flavors. Shared 4 small plates and a single serving of paella between 4 people and everyone left full. Sangria was perfect just slightly sweet but very refreshing. Pon was an excellent waiter!

Was a pleasant Mother's Day dinner for my wife at a restaurant that served amazing Veg Pallela! We evan took a to go home kit! Service, atmosphere, food choices menu all was beyond amazing! Only one negative as a person that has a shell fish allergy and wife that is vegetarian, apparently all their appetizers/dishes were fried in the same frier for shell fish/meat/veg options. With a restaurant of this caliber and with an extensive vegetarian menu I would hope that they would have a special fryer specific for vegetarian guests such that no cross contamination or violation of beliefs occurs. Hopefully they would take this comment into consideration and I look forward to return in the future to enjoy what we didn't get to eat secondary to the fryer issue! Overall a must try! Great food, great ambiance, amazing cocktail/wine list!

could not recommend enough! such a fun and unique dining experience in columbus. had the mussels, potatoes and hummus. we also had dessert with a dessert martini as well. They gave us a free dessert because it was my partners birthday. My favorite thing was the wine and salted caramel martini. will definitely be coming back for any occasion!

Gosh I hate to give less than five stars to any place that seems like it’s really trying but for presenting itself as a semi upscale experience it is not as good as I’d hoped. I’ve had a lot of tapas experiences; including Spain and beyond. Some of my favorites have been in places like Colorado and Washington of all the strange occurrences. Therefor I’m not afraid to love a Columbus, Ohio small plate if it’s worthy! The service was excellent and the ambience just as good. I will say that the house paella’s seem to be one of their noteworthy offerings amongst others we did not order. What we ordered was well prepared and seemingly fresh, with a few exceptions such as the chorizo with the beans. It seemed a little hard to place as fresh or otherwise or poorly seasoned or salted etc. A lot of really simple dishes that just needed flare, and flavor. For example a classic tapas of “Patatas Bravas”, the potatoes were really nicely prepared although slightly large for simply biting, a little sauce on top but nothing in the middle and some tomato compote or so on in the bottom of the dish. But widely the dish was just a potato and no more or less. The polenta and chorizo was another underwhelming dish, I mean honestly… Chorizo crumbles in a Parmesan polenta, and micro greens as a garnish on EVERYTHING, which felt thoughtless and insecure as you often hear of chefs with little imagination. It just lacked dimension, even salt and I usually scoff at the habit of Americans of salting everything. You can imagine all you like but my meal was not 5 star, it was 4 and I’m being friendly, but that is purely my opinion. For the price it demands better, I’m sorry. Thank you for the experience we remain grateful.

What a spectacular experience! The restaurant is brightly decorated and very warm. The artwork, the fountain, and the music all took me back to my time in Catalonia. Every bite of the paella was exquisite and the service was of the utmost quality; thank you Mary and compliments to the chefs!

Our experience at Barcelona Restaurant and Bar was nothing short of perfection. Everything from the food (which is phenomenal) to the ambience was on point. The servers and management team was very professional and friendly. We would HIGHLY recommend Barcelona Restaurant and Bar. You won't be disappointed.
