I had three pancakes when I was here. There was a little bit of wait. I had one of them beat the pancake of the month, which was cherry cordial. It was delicious, came with chocolate and cherries that were split. It tasted remarkably like a cordial Cherry. I also had a blueberry pancake and a pecan pancake. It was so much that I couldn't finish but it was very good. The staff were nice and talked and joked with us. I would recommend this coffee shop for a bite to eat in the morning, and also will come back again in the near future!

Very Cute/Cool little local café. Exactly the type of place we look for when we travel. The food was excellent. Probably one of the best pancakes (loaded with blueberries, cranberries, raisins, and nuts) I've ever had! 😁👍🏽 We sat at the counter and watched them cook it. Prices were very good/reasonable. The burgers here were incredible.. looked like a half pound of meat! 😁 We will definitely be back when we come to Columbus and German town. 👍🏽

This place was outstanding. Exactly the classic diner feel I was hoping for. The food was extremely reasonably priced, great proportions, and very tasty. Came here right around opening time with a large group of middle and high schoolers (before a camping trip) and they took great care of us. I hope to come back some time!

Stumbled across this place while looking for somewhere else to have breakfast and so glad I found it. The cook is absolutely amazing and you can watch him cook right in front of you if he said at the counter, which I did. One of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had in a long time and the hash browns are to die for.

This is a great place for breakfast. If you have a big day ahead, it's a good idea to get here early as they will get extremely busy early on. If you get here a little late in the morning, expect a very long wait; but the food and service is worth it! We always stop by when we are in town.

Amazing people, excellent food. Everyone was super friendly. You can sit at the counter and watch your food being cooked and chat with the cook. They're open early in the morning and there's actually parking (parallel) close to the front door. I was in town for business and had breakfast here. If it was up to me, I would have come back for lunch. Next time I'm in town, I won't bother wasting half an hour looking for a place to eat, I'll just come straight here. 10/10, would buy again in a heartbeat.

Small town feel and wonderful service! And a great Bolgna sandwich!

I absolutely loved this place. My boyfriend, daughter and I were just in town for a night and got breakfast here on the way out. We arrived around 8:30 on a Sunday, were greeted by friendly staff, had to wait about 15 minutes for seats at the bar (first available), sat down and were quickly served by a wait staff and a gentleman behind the bar. The staff were very accommodating, checked on us frequently but were not pests. Our food came out after an acceptable amount of time, was hot, plentiful and tasted amazing. My daughter got French toast and it was the best I’d ever tasted. My omelet and hash browns were perfect. My boyfriend’s hotcakes were huge and delicious. No complaints at all. Unfortunately we live about 2.5 hours away but I’d love to come back any time! Just a note, they do have a restroom, but it’s very small and you have to walk through the kitchen to access it, which is a little uncomfortable, but at least they have one. I’m going to suggest that our Airbnb host add this place to his house manual for guests!

Great little mid-century style cafe… grab a booth or sit up at the bar and watch your food being prepared right in front of you. We went for a late breakfast on a Saturday morning and the place was packed with locals. Service was great and food was delicious!

Amazing quaint place. Similar to wafflehouse but better. Coffee stayed full, food was amazing. Highly recommend the corned beef hash. Wonderful service, stayed directly on point and always checked on us. Will come back. Very sweet people.

Classic diner food done perfectly. We were in town for a couple of days and ended up going both mornings and the cook is consistent! The coffee is great. And the atmosphere is classic and so good. Please don’t ever upgrade or change a thing. Nostalgia will never go out of style!

This place right here is IT!! It is a gem, the food is phenomenal. It's super small but has a comforting environment. We have had several different menu items and everything is amazing. Everything is homeade and made to order. The hash is unbeatable and the biscuits and gravy is like a grandma would make. Now let's talk about pricing, their prices are so good. This is hands down the best breakfast spot I've ever ate at in my 33 years.

This a cute and snappy restaurant and coffee spot, nice for a quick home cooked breakfast. The breakfast and the biscuits and gravity were AMAZING! The portion size here is great and the taste and professional service is even better! I would consider this establishment to be kid-friendly as I did not hear any inappropriate music playing or notice any raunchy signage. Everyone was very friendly and professional.

They serve delicious hot cakes, and their breakfast sandwich was packed with bacon, lettuce & tomato on top of the egg, and served either on toast, an English muffin or a bagel. If you're up for a 3-egg eggcellent omelette you'll be well satisfied! Coffee refills were great and fresh. The prices at this diner are very reasonable and the service is quick and skilled. I'd go back here daily!

Great atmosphere, I was traveling across the United States and family told me to stop. Glad I did. The quintessential Diner experience . All the folks were great - Find ll of locals that I got a chance to talk to - A definite “must do”!

Lovely small old school diner. With one to two waiters and one cook sometimes you need to wait a bit for service and to get your food at the busy hours (🥞 breakfast) The coffee ☕ sure comes fast! It is a Columbus staple that's worth experiencing.. The hot cakes and hash browns are amazing, the french toast very disappointing.

Never disappoints and always worth the wait. Servers are attentive, especially when it came to beverage refills (I had three coffee refills, hallelujah). Atmosphere buzzes with good energy each time my family goes. A must for locals and visitors alike.

If you love diners (I do) you will love this place. Great food with a fun "old school" diner feel. Worth any wait!

Nothing remarkable, but solid food in a vintage spot. French toast looked a little weird, but tasted fine. No major complaints from me.

Pros: very good pancakes. Very nice people. Great sense of fun. Cons: It’s a small place so it’s a wait for a table. Although your order is cooked for you it takes a very long time to get it. It’s quite dated and kitschy but way past it’s prime. Get your food to go or DoorDash it.

My husband and I visited this shop for breakfast on a busy Saturday morning. We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood, which was having a neighborhood sidewalk sale, while we waited. Service was friendly and it was fun watching the cooks work. We both enjoyed our food - pancakes, eggs and a breakfast sandwich. Everything tasted great. This is a great little spot in German Village!

Didn’t get a chance to take more pics of the food-we dug in as soon as it came out! Friendly staff, tasty bacon, and a warm room on a chilly morning. Even saw a raindeer pancake with a red cherry nose come by for a young diner! A neighborhood joint I’m glad we finally checked out!

FAVORITE "Brunch" place in Ohio! GREAT selection and tasting food. BUSY employees, but STILL friendly, prompt, polite, and thorough!

We had a great breakfast. I was really cool watching all the orders get cooked in front of you when you sit at the front counter.

This is the classic diner, a bit grungy but the food is wonderful. We came in for lunch and had the patty melt and chicken sandwich, both great. Breakfast looked like a winner too, and very reasonably priced.

I love this place - just like a diner from ages past. Staff is friendly, always on top of things and the food is fantastic! Definitely love breakfast here. Seating is limited so make sure to avoid high traffic times.

We enjoyed a great breakfast with friends at the German Village Coffee Shop. I had the western omelet and it was loaded with veggies, ham, and cheese. Delicious!
