AMAZING. This is top 3 meals I’ve had in Columbus, the space is gorgeous. The menu is great, I had so much trouble deciding, I could’ve ordered the entire small plates menu. We had the focaccia, arancini, and I had the black bass as my main. Everything was outstanding. I got the Summer of Ash cocktail and it was very refreshing. We got the chocolate chip cookies and espresso martinis for dessert and what a perfect night cap. Oh yeah and service was spectacular. If you’re weighing coming here, do it!

Amazing atmosphere. Great staff, food and drinks. We stopped on our way to Richmond, Indiana and was the best decision to rest for a while with a good meal. The area, German Village, is really cute too. We had to make reservations two hours in advance on a Friday night, so make sure to plan ahead. Walk-ins wait was over an hour. The place is small.

I feel like its overpriced but it's very good! Drinks are delicious and food is very good but needs some small tweaks. But it's definitely worth the visit to try It out. It's the hot new spot

My father and I were out for a walk and dad said, lets try this new place. I was not dressed for the occasion but dad persisted. we did not have reservations but were seated at the bar shortly. we were treated like kings , the staff was very friendly and dressed very smartly. we ordered the house focaccia and it was marvelous, served with a small plate of olive oil and parmigiana . I highly suggest this establishment and will return better dressed.

I absolutely loved the atmosphere of this place. The staff was very friendly, and the food was great. Also, they were very COVID friendly. I would definitely come back!

Went here for my sister's graduation dinner. It was on her bucketlist to eat here.. We had an absolute blast. From good food to unique drinks. We got their Buratta as an appetizer along with a charcuterie board. Everyone got a different dinner and everyone tried a bit of everything.. Only wish was the charcuterie board was a little bit bigger that board was empty just as quick as it was set on the table. Delicious flavors over all a great experience. And our waiter was prompt and overall a treat to interact with very knowledgeable.

Cute little patio. Great Happy Hour. Wonderful food, service, and atmosphere. The curry mussels were delicious! The cocktails were well balanced and affordable. I ordered the short rib ragu as an entre. The pasta was fresh! My only complaint is that the bechemel could have used a bit more truffle as I couldn't really taste it.

My first time in and I must say I’m impressed. The layout of the restaurant was sleek and very modern. I love how the restaurant is nestled right into the neighborhood. Prices are appropriate and the Food was poppin. I had a Bloody Mary too!!!!🤷🏾‍♂️🔥🔥🔥. I’ll definitely be back!

Loved it! A friend and I went out to dinner here and we both loved it! Food was really good, and atmosphere was nice. Although, I do wish the seating was a bit more organized. Oh, and do make a reservation, we saw a lot of people having to wait for 30-45 minutes for a table.

Great location, beautiful interior, and absolutely delicious food! I did think it was a little odd to order food & drinks at the counter. It definitely felt like a table service type of vibe. Regardless, it was an excellent experience and I look forward to coming back! Update: We went back to the sycamore after the great experience we had the first time and ran into some problems. The drinks, appetizers and service were still great. However, the hanger steak we ordered medium rare (which he said was the default for how they cooked it anyway) came out scorched. They also did not have steak knives so it was even harder to eat with how burned it was. They also gave us the wrong side for the steak (ordered a side salad). We'll still be back because the first experience we had was so good that I hope it was just a one off night. Hopefully I can put it back up to 5 stars!

This place is super cute. Went for dinner on a Friday night without a reservation and they were able to squeeze us in. I was impressed with their cocktail selection and their menu is refined and seasonal. Everything we had was great, even the dessert. The best part though is the atmosphere. It's a cozy space but not too small. Would be great for a first date or a celebration dinner.

The menu online drew us in but was not the menu we could choose from upon arrival, my husband does not eat meat so we went with the ravioli, focaccia bread and the largest salad 🥗 I have ever seen I thought I was at bucci depappa great thing we decided to share, it was $18 and not at all flavorful or desirable,It read delicious on the menu so we got it. For what we spent we have enjoyed better at the Cheesecake Factory, even the bread is fabulous. I’m a chef so I know focaccia is amazing done right it was my husbands first time trying it and I was disappointed. We were greeted and seated immediately and the place is nice to have drinks and hold conversations in. They offer outdoor seating as well it amazes me that people don’t ask you if you want to sit anywhere particularly, do you have a preference? Everyone was nice, friendly and professional. What’s cool is they bring you a book with your check to leave comments or a statement. We enjoyed leaving positive words along with so many others you can read.

One of the best meals I have had in Columbus in a long time! The short rib ragu was unreal. I also highly recommend trying some of their cocktails (the Get Abbey on the Line was my personal favorite). The service was wonderful and it’s such a cozy spot. Definitely recommend for a date night or dinner with a friend!

Fantastic recommendation for dinner while we were in Columbus. We were able to get a table on the patio this past Saturday evening. The new ownership has assembled an outstanding menu. Our cocktails were terrific - the Prospectus and Semester Abroad stood out. Wine selection was well constructed with some exceptional choices. Apps worth noting include the sticky carrots and the suppli. The steak and burger were well received while the bass and chicken were the most popular entrees at our table. We closed with a peach a la mode desert and some delicious espresso martinis. Great atmosphere, the service was delightful, and the bar and kitchen delivered - we'll be back the next time we're in town.

My friend lives in the Village so for a girl's night out, we walked to the Sycamore. It was so much better than the restaurant that was there before. Better menu, awesome interior, and not the snobbery we felt before. It is so much more open and brighter. Before it was dark, drab and pretentious. The new owners did a great job on the renovations. We sat on the patio and ordered drinks and appetizers. We loved the sticky carrots and beets. Our server was great but we loved the cute busser...Jack? Jake? Hard to hear through the stupid masks. He was polite and attentive and my friend wants to come back for his phone number. Tell him we were the two blonde girls with a little too much to drink. Highly recommend for a great night out for dinner and eye candy.

I love the vibe of this restaurant! Has some great mood lighting and decor. Unfortunately the beef I’ve had there tends to be on the dry side (even when medium / medium rare) which is a shame because their drinks are amazing! Even though I haven’t had the best food, I’d still like to try again

During a trip from home, the “foodie hub of Kansas City” to visit my niece at the great Ohio State University, she suggested lunch at Sycamore, which is located in a charming area called German Village. It was a cool and drizzly day, so we chose hot drinks, including Queen of Cups (coffee with cardamom, lavender and honey) and Turmeric Tea, both of which were quite comforting. If you have never tried cardamom in coffee, stretch yourself to try it. You’re guaranteed to enjoy it! It’s quite lovely. We also had the Beetroot Sipper, a cold drink with the perfect blend of beet juice, vanilla and oat milk. What a fantastic combination! The menu for lunch seemed just right, a blend of salads and sandwiches, colorful, healthy and with nuances from spice and unexpected additions to the dishes that made the familiar seem exotic and classier than you normally find for lunch choices. I had a Sycamore Village salad full of healthy well dressed (lemon vinaigrette) vegetables that included asparagus, green beans, snap peas, and radishes with nutty arugula and bits of kale (perfectly sized) with a crunch from lightly salted pistachios and anointed with Parmesan Reggiano cheese. A perfectly cooked and seasoned chicken breast was served alongside this feast of vegetables. I’ll admit, I really wanted the Cuban but opted for vegetables. I am SO GLAD I did! If you ever opt for what feels like the healthier choice (one of Sycamore’s salads), you will have a hearty, flavorful meal that will last you throughout your busy day. Go for it! Now. For those of who who say, I’ve gotta have a sandwich, the Cuban was amazing, according to both my family members who chose a sandwich. They specifically gave a shout out to the tenderness of the pork, the sour local pickles and the perfectly crunchy on the outside and warm and soft on the inside French fries. All in all, this is a place to which you will want to return again and again. Just do it. Pick Sycamore. You’ll be glad you did!

We were really disappointed by our experience. Everything was overpriced. Our waiter was very inexperienced (took a long time to open a bottle of wine and told us he didn’t really know how). Cocktails were good, food tasted good. The portions were very small. A homemade, vegetarian pasta was lovely but unbelievably small for $26. It would have been small for $16! The bill was over $250 for three cocktails and four tiny entrees.

Came for breakfast! Recently found out the open 7am! I had the omelette and I’d say that was probably the best I ever had! I added bacon to that tho! They start with the lunch menu after 10 and stay open till 3pm! I wanna come try lunch and dinner too!

Walked over to grab coffee and a snack from their grab & go window. Literally the best yogurt parfait I’ve ever had and the espresso tonic with blood orange was refreshing and delicious. Can’t wait to come back and try more of the unique, fun menu.

The interior was beautiful but unfortunately the food fell short. The lobster roll wasn't buttery and tasted more like cold chicken salad. The charcuterie board was very plain and unimpressive in comparison to boards at comparable restaurants. I will say the burger was great and the fries were amazing. The staff were alright, but did not make the experience special. It wasn't a terrible experience, but we hoped for better and probably won't be going back.

What a gem of a spot! The ambience was very nice and we loved sitting on the patio. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. We shared the burger and the 6th street veggie sandwich, both were flavorful, fresh and hearty. I’ll definitely be back.

We just went to Sycamore after it reopened and it was very good. The burrata, beets and heirloom tomatoes was my favorite. We will definitely be back. So happy to see this place back in the neighborhood.

Great for an afternoon coffee to walk around the neighborhood with. The restaurant looks beautiful inside, and the coffee window/area is nice with coffee offerings and other small bites.

One of the best restaurant experiences I've had in ages. Service was spectacular. HH pricing was amazing. The Italian 90 drink - I can't even describe how tasty it was! I could have just ordered several plates of the Housemade Focaccia and been happy, but I had to try the Vegetable Tagine and it did not disappoint. We topped it off with a warm chocolate chip cookie a la mode (the gelato seems more like ice cream than gelato). I can't wait to go back!

Small, minimalistic style restaurant/bar/coffee shop and you’d miss it if you didn’t know it was there as it’s tucked away in German Village. I’ve never tried the food here, but the coffee is pretty decent. My husband tried a hot chocolate this time, very chocolatey and delicious. I tried the Beet Root Sipper because it sounded a little different and wasn’t sure if I’d like it, but I did. Prices for the cafe are on par with other local coffee shops. Perfect stop while roaming through GV and not far from Schmidt’s.

I sat at the bar with a friend and the bartender was the kindest and had a ton of knowledge about the food as well. Delicious full meals and great, creative drinks. The interior of the place is beautiful. I’ll be celebrating events here in the future. Love this place.
