Everything from start to finish was great. Best calamari ever. Bread and dip was delicious. Tried several appetizers and our entrees were delicious too. Rack of lamb and smoked chicken ravioli. Will definitely be back to try more dishes. Staff was great and welcoming. Definitely make a reservation.

We came here in a Saturday evening with reservations that were 100% necessary as the restaurant filled up in minutes. Our waitress, Angela was very helpful with the menu and friendly. The bread and sauce were amazing to start. We shared the Risotto Fritters which were great as well. I ordered the Tortelli and my wife got the Goat Cheese Ravioli both of which were amazing in their own, different ways. They also gave us a mousse for our anniversary! So nice, little wait time, and the best food I have had in a long time. Absolutely a new favorite!

I firstly got there on Tuesday during happy hour during Covid time! The items on happy hour were cheap and great coming with various appetizers. Came back during happy hour recently. Mostly everything but pasta had discount. Recommend the fig pizza with abundant figs and cream, perfectly sweet.

We liked the ambience and service at Z Cucina. The bruschetta is delicious along with the fig jam, but the cheese is a little salty. For our entree, we had the cauliflower gnocchi with squash. Although it tasted good, it could have been better with a little more flavor inside the gnocchi. Overall, it's a good restaurant for your special days.

I guess this place is not for me. Super fancy. So fancy they don't feel the need to feed you. The bread basket had 4 pieces of bread no bigger than my thumb. They gave me 5 ravioli and a bit of corn chowder over it for my dinner. The sausage dish my son had, had a tablespoon of sausage on shells that were left way to long under the heat lamp. Very beautiful place. Food average, service good good. Portions ver small. We will not be going back

Nice and adequate meal with a real elegant atmosphere. The music was really nice, even Shazamed a couple songs. Service with Mark was really attentive and heartwarming. The owner introduced himself and seated my wife and I, welcoming us into Columbus as newcomers. The food was for most part really good aside some flaws. The complimentary bread was paired with a subtle sun dried tomato olive oil that was so good. We ordered quite a bit: Stuffed Risotto Fritters, Leek Soup (cold, special menu), Filet, Rock Shrimp Triangoli, Ricotta Cannoli and Cappuccino for dessert. Both appetizers were excellent, first time having cold soup and it was very addictive. The Fritters were delicious, although really filling. We ordered the Filet at medium, but it was very raw not even rare, so was only able to eat the seared outsides. The mashed potatoes were also undercooked, the chunks were pretty hard to chew. The lemon flavor was really strange and didn't work well IMO. The asparagus was great though. The Rock Shrimp was all delicious minus the mushrooms. I usually love mushrooms and the fungi fam, but the oyster mushrooms were so inedible, incredibly bitter and overly chewy. The Cannoli and Cappuccino was a perfect way to end the meal. Really good portion and refreshing flavors in the ricotta with that orange flavored accent. Overall nice experience, will return for some sort of future celebration!

First of all. They updated menu periodically so don’t expect the same dish if you see this two years later. I love the free bread with the oil. I guess there is tomato in the bread oil so it taste little sour, which perfect match the sourdough bread. The bread is Chucky outside and soft inside, I really love that. Rock Shrimp Ravioli is ok. Don’t know why some of the mushroom are sour, like expired. White Clam Pizza is thin and chunky, but blend compared to other dishes Veal Chop is huge and soft. I love the broccoli and potato at the side! This a very nice restaurant with quiet vibe on that street. $70/person enjoying Italian food I think it’s an okay deal. The lady who served us name Ryan(I think this is the name) She is very nice, when we ask if there any shops around us ( since I’m traveling) and she gave us lots of options.

We came from out of town and wanted to try one of Columbus’ most popular restaurants. We went to Z Cucina di Spirito tonight because it was #1 on so many “must try” lists and let me tell ya, it did not disappoint! From the food, to the service, to the restaurant atmosphere… everything was wonderful! We will definitely be back when we return to Columbus!

We had Taylor, he was great! We had a couple starters, drinks, and dinner. All was very tasty! The sundried tomato dip for the bread was really good and different from any restaurant I've been to. Definitely recommend.

Came here to celebrate my dad's birthday. Rick welcomed us into his restaurant with open arms and really took care of us! Mark was our server and helped us figure out what to order. We ordered the wild mushroom pizza as a starter. For the entrees, we ordered the spaghetti and clams, the butcher's steak, the rock shrimp triangoli, and the mushroom risotto. Everything was absolutely amazing and would order again. They even brought out chocolate mousse on a pizzele for my dad! Everything was just so nice. Can't wait to come back!

Such an amazing experience. We made reservations for a Friday night to celebrate my birthday. I have a peanut allergy and I was able to mention that in the reservation and they confirmed that with me when I arrived and were very aware of the allergy all night which was greatly appreciated. We started with the charcuterie board and it was absolutely fantastic, the complimentary bread and oil also paired well with it. I ordered a mushroom pizza and my husband ordered a sausage with pasta dish (not sure of the names of either). Both dishes were SO good!!! I believe our waiter’s name was Mark and he was courteous, knowledgeable and very helpful with all of our questions. Then they brought out a mousse as a dessert for my birthday! The atmosphere was excellent and all around it was a terrific experience. I read dozens of reviews for restaurants in Columbus before deciding on this one and I am so glad I did! If you are in Columbus please go to this restaurant! Truly an amazing meal.

Prompt service, friendly staff, romantic candlelit atmosphere… seriously, I felt like I was about to have a Lady and the Tramp moment. Calamari was tasty and both pasta entrees were great. Generous pours on the wine. This feels like a nice Italian restaurant where you can really relax and enjoy the atmosphere - not to mention the delicious smells from the kitchen.

I go here for the best bar service and tasty food. Kevin always tells me what is new and what freshest dishes taste. Let me tell you, the tomatoe dip for the bread is to die for! Kevin's cocktails are worth the wait while he makes magic in a cocktail glass.

Was here for a small outing with 4 people total. We had to reserve ahead of time, then everything was great! The service and our waiter was very kind. The good was great for everyone with me, but I personally didn't enjoy my order. I think this is a really good place for a first date or a nice "fancier" dinner with a group. Definitely suggest getting a reservation ahead of time.

We had an amazing evening at Z Cucina. Our server, Taylor, was very patient with us and walked us through the menu and wines. He even brought out samples to help us decide on the drinks The owner, Rick, stopped by on a few occasions to see how we were doing. Everyone who worked there was professional and personable. We had the Caesar salad, Lasagna, and Short Rib. We were very pleased with the quality and presentation of the meals.

The Calamari was so freaking delicious and the sauce on top made it better. Stuffed fried risotto was crazy good. My hangar steak was chewy but I still want to go back and try more main dishes. Bread pudding was nice to finish.

Happy hour is great here. The prices are quite reasonable for the Columbus area, drinks were good and the serving size of appetizers offered at the bar from the appetizer menu exceeded expectations. Bartender was friendly and attentive. Definitely worthy of a return visit.

I cannot recommend this family-owned Italian restaurant enough. Whether you’re craving traditional Italian cuisine or simply looking for a cozy spot to enjoy a cocktail, this place is an absolute must-visit. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. Now, let’s talk about the food - simply divine! Each dish was crafted with care and bursting with authentic Italian flavors. From the mouthwatering pasta to the perfectly seasoned sauces, every bite was a culinary delight. It’s evident that the chefs take great pride in their craft, and it truly shows in the quality of the food. Not only was the food exceptional, but the service was impeccable as well. The staff treated us like family, ensuring that we had everything we needed throughout our meal. They were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make our dining experience memorable. We will definitely be returning soon!

The food was delicious! The atmosphere is a so beautiful and the service was impeccable! I got the shrimp Alfredo. The portion size was so big I had enough for lunch the next day and it was still just as good reheated!

The most unprofessional restaurant I’ve ever experienced. We needed to book a table for a party of 11 outside on the patio for a company dinner. I would’ve understood if the answer was just “no that’s too many people” or “no the weather isn’t good we can’t do the patio today” However the person on the phone started telling me that if we make a reservation everyone has to show up and we can’t just have 8 show up… already felt strange that he was explaining that I have to make a reservation for the correct number of people but I understand that’s a common restaurant issue so it didn’t bother me yet. He then proceeded to ask if we would all be eating dinner. I said yes everyone will be getting drinks and dinner. He then said “are you sure? How do you know everyone will be getting dinner?” The man then proceeded to tell us that if we’re going to make a reservation then they need to call in more workers to show up to serve us and we can’t screw over their workers by not spending enough at dinner. I understand restaurants have had a lot of struggles lately. But to act like you do not trust your customers by asking so many questions and then saying “are you sure” to every answer we provided for the questions, AND THEN basically telling us if we don’t eat like we said we would then we would be wasting their time is the most unprofessional I’ve ever experienced in Columbus. Next time you don’t trust your customers, a simple no will suffice.

A consistent favorite. We hadn’t been in person since before the pandemic. It was very good. Bread salad and lasagna all top notch. Other entrees enjoyed. Some sort of raspberry and gin drink had high marks from 2 people. Good wine selection too.

Had an incredible experience from start to finish. The service from the hostesses, bar, and waitress was 10/10. So nice, friendly, and welcoming. Our food was amazing. Probably my favorite Italian restaurant in Columbus by far. We ordered the meatballs to start and the lasagna. 10/10 all around. Definitely will be back.

We had a birthday dinner at Z Cucina di Spirito. The staff was friendly and attentive. We even got to speak to the chef for a bit. The food was wonderful and priced appropriately. We went very pleased with all of our dishes.

We had a lovely date here. We were walking through Grandview trying to decide where to eat, when Rick, one of the owners of Z Cucina, invited us in. We had a very tasty meal on a very pleasant patio. When I could not find a dessert on the menu I could have (diet restrictions), they made something special for me. I did not even ask them too. They offered and it was amazing! It was a really great experience all the way around.

All the food was heavily salted. We started with meatballs (salty ) , fruti del mar (ok) , mushroom pizza ( good ) the cocktails was really good. My partner got The Italian Sausage & two Ricotta pappardelle was excessively seasoned with black pepper cannot finish. I got the gnocchi alla loaded potato which I enjoyed, but the rest of my friends did not enjoy their dinner. The atmosphere is romantic and servers are very attentive. Next time I will only come back for the happy hour.

Recently went with large group and everyone said it was one of the best meals they have had. I'm vegan and they made me one of the best vegan meals I've ever had. Service was perfection. It's obvious the owner is invested in everyone having a great experience. Highly recommend!

Came in for dinner last night with two other families and both food and service were great. We’ve been in 5-10 times over the years and it’s a reliably good experience. Menu changes seasonally so there’s always something new to try. More vegetarian options would always be appreciated.

My wife and I visited Z Cucina in Grandview for the first time roughly 6 months ago and have been back multiple times since! The food is amazing! We have tried many things and have not been disappointed once. The oil for the bread is the absolute best we have ever had! The restaurant is very beautiful inside! The staff is amazing but the #1 reason we continued going back is the owner, Jackie. She runs the front desk so perfectly! She is an extremely pleasant person and is great at what she does! She truly cares for her guests and makes you feel so welcome and not like you are just another person. I would recommend any small business owner who works with the public makes a visit to this restaurant to see just how you should run a business and treat your customers. Chris & Mindy Hill
