What an amazing experience. Visiting from Toronto and I have a very limited diet - vegan, no dairy, no processed sugar, etc etc. Eating out at all can be very challenging. I often have 1-5 options on an entire menu. Not here...the WHOLE menu was an option. We had a dipper sampler, avocado toast, one of the salads, lentil soup, a curry vegetable soup and the the pizzadilla. Oh ..and coffees/teas. Everything was amazing for me AND everyone else. The atmosphere was wonderful, our server just great. The only negative is that we could not have everything on the menu we would have wanted to. We will definitely be back when visiting next time. This place is a must if you like GOOD food and great service.

I went in to check it out because I'd heard good things, but the staff weren't wearing masks. I immediately walked out. Apparently the owner has a reputation as an anti-vaxxer too. I'm expecting some sanctimonious response but this isn't what we need during a pandemic.

My vegan friend was in town visiting, which led me to seek out Portia’s. We both loved the entire experience - staff, food, environment. Delicious plant-based meals for anyone!

No mask, no business. Literally putting that food into my body was impossible after witnessing kitchen staff not wearing masks.

As with Portia’s Diner, the cafe calls to those with a willingness to enjoy, perhaps expand their palette; at least, that’s my case. Super friendly folks and finely made food with fresh, quality ingredients. The cafe has a more robust menu and more seating, both places are wonderful.

My first time here. The wait staff was super friendly, and helpful. I ordered the overnight oats with cherries and pumpkin seeds, it was delicious. My friend ordered the pancakes and she said they were delicious as well. The vibe inside is just very inviting. Definitely will be back and if you're thinking of checking it out, go already!

I recently visited Portia cafe which had a cool vibe and had a great experience there. We tried the tofu gyro wrap and vegetable curry soup, both of which were delicious and hearty. I would definitely recommend these dishes to anyone looking for tasty vegan options. The quesadilla was decent but nothing particularly special. Throughout our meal, the servers were friendly and attentive. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great vegan food and a fun atmosphere.

THE! BEST! OF! VEGAN! DINING! Portia's is one of the best dining experiences I have had since going vegan nearly ten years ago. It was only my second time visiting (my first was in 2016) since I am from out of state and was only passing through Columbus, but just WOW, what a treat! I am SO HAPPY their small business survived the pandemic. It is obvious that there is endless Love poured into this space and the offerings, something we always need more of when it comes to our food. I just had a "bacon, egg, and cheese" sandwich with avocado on an English muffin (plus lots of goodies to-go!) and an extra spicy chai latte, and the housemade English muffin had the most incredible texture while the housemade bacon (made from coconut!) had the most delicious flavor imaginable. The menu is enormous with lots of variety, yet every meal is crafted only using the most mindful ingredients and process. Might I add that the extra spicy double shot dirty iced chai latte was THE BEST CHAI I HAVE EVER HAD. Accessible parking options. 10/10 experience. Incredible addition to the Columbus culinary cultural scene in general and a major win for vegans.

If you want to feel really good in mind and body after you eat out, Portia's is the place to be. I love the huge salads, homemade soups, and filtered water. The staff is very courteous, quick and on top of everything. I always feel satisfied when I eat there, like my body is getting fully nourished. Americans are used to feeling bloated perhaps after eating out, but I feel the opposite here. It feels like I'm doing my taste buds and body so much good. The salads are a very reasonable price, given how huge they are. A half salad with a cup of soup is plenty. Thank you for your service to the community , Portia's!!

I am so glad I found this Gem! Perfect place to go when you are craving eating out, but want it to be healthy and delicious! Portia's non-dairy, no-added sugar, gluten free cheesecake is heavenly. It tastes better than normal cheese and if someone didn't tell me it was without gluten, dairy, or added sugar I don't think I would have realized it. Aside from the cheese cake - all of the other items are tasty and made with fresh and local ingredients. They make a lot of their own sauces and dressings from scratch that elevates the flavor of every dish. Plus the customer service is so sweet and caring :) they value your input and want you to provide you with the best food experience possible.

Cute and cozy cafe with lots of menu items and a friendly staff. I stop here every time I’m in town for a quick, delicious vegan meal. My favorite item is the Super Cindy Pocket on the breakfast menu.

Wow! Very impressed with this place. Coming from NYC, I was looking for a Vegan spot to have a late dinner and this definitely hit the spot! So flavorful, light and tasteful in so many ways. Wish this place had locations around the US!

We tried Portia’s for the first time as out-of-towners passing through and wish we had a spot like this back home. What a cozy, friendly, and welcoming diner with an unassuming and humble vibe. The staff are super kind and prompt. The menu has so many yummy options that are packed with good ingredients and delicious flavors. Breakfast burrito and pocket were both so good, as well as a slice of the pecan pie to-go. We left feeling comfortably full and extremely content! Highly recommend 🫶

Great server, really good food, and an awesome environment. They have a huge all vegan menu with a bunch of different breakfast options, unique coffee and latte blends, an extensive list of smoothie and dessert options as well. Definitely try their rosemary home fries!

When I became more serious about my health, I searched for vegan friendly places without overly processed or flavor enhanced ingredients and good for you. This is my go to place for a quick bite or a nice outing with my large family. The service is friendly, the people who patronize this place are just as happy as I am. My favorite menu item is the BLT. My second favorite is the waffle and lastly their strawberry smoothie. With a clean palate you are able to taste the unique flavors of every vegetable and fruit. Harmoniously paired ingredients makes for a deliciously filling meal that you do not have to feel guilty about or regret later. I highly recommend. A little about me: I do not dine at fast food restaurants and rarely dine at other restaurants that do not offer healthy vegan options. I prepare whole vegan meals at home. My tastes may be different than anyone who consumes a SAD.

Amazing menu, genuinely healthy ingredients. Managed to get a nightshade ( I’m intolerant) free meal here filled with delicious ingredients. I had the zucchini wrap without tomatoes, the chocolate mousse, and mushroom coffee alternative. The mushroom coffee alternative available with coconut milk is a god send for people trying to have less coffee / those who need milk alternatives ❤️🤤 dreams do come true. I only wish I lived closer so I could frequent!

I loved the food here! I was visiting my dad who lives in Columbus, him and his wife are non-vegan. Not the best place to take skeptical meat eaters and the decor feels pretty hippie. I wasn't a fan of the raw almond(?) cookie, but that's not to say you won't be. Pad Thai was great and the vegetable curry.

Great breakfast date at Portia’s Cafe. I was feeling a bit blah before arriving but this turned my morning around. The food is great - healthy, tasty and filling! We tried the vegetable curry soup, the burrito and rosemary potatoes. They have a good selection of smoothies and drinks. I had a local-blend peppermint tea by @crimsoncupcoffee and Sean tried the mushroom “coffee.”

I follow a discipline of not eating Onion and Garlic. I was glad to see that Portia’s Cafe had a specialized menu for food without onion and garlic. They were willing to customize as well within that menu. I come from Bay Area in California. This place reminded a lot of Berkeley.

What a great place! The staff is delightful and the food was wonderful. Everything is gluten free (in addition to vegan) and that is great. The make an in-house gluten free wrap. I had the Gyro & macaroni cheese. The tofu in the gyro was delicious and the Mac&cheese was surprisingly good - they make their own vegan cheese sauce and it was really good. They have a nice selection of desserts - I didn’t get to try any, but they looked delicious (and no refined sugar). And really easy parking!

Great Vegan spot. I even met Portia. Very friendly lady. She asked me how the food was, my reply was, "I'm stuffed." I had the veggie curry soup, Guacamole dip and vegan quesadilla. Um... Um... Good. I ate the vegan quesadilla before I could take a pic. Sorry, its in my belly. Will be returning.

We loved our experience at Portia's. We were nervous about traveling though Ohio as vegetarians whose daughter is allergic to eggs. They had amazing vegan waffles that she devoured. The portions were a touch small but affordable and the coffee is lovely. Only advice would be to add a small stool for kids in the bathroom as the toilet is pretty high up.

The service was fantastic. Warm, welcoming, and very helpful with any questions. The food was fresh, made fairly quickly, and delightful. Not being vegan, I could tell you that any meat lover should enjoy their food. Everything was so fresh and being full didn't feel like I was walking out with a bowling ball in my stomach. Thumbs all the way up and around for any, and all aspects. Will definitely go back in the near future.

There has been poor attempts for vegan breakfast in Columbus, and Portia hit it out of the park! Relaxed environment, great coffee, and amazing food. Super friendly and accommodating. Try the Super Garden Wrap with sweet potatoes instead of home fries and some Chipotle Pepper sauce (my favorite combo) You'll be eating in silence because its that good!

This place was the perfect breakfast spot to end my trip to Columbus. After entering we were immediately greeted by a super friendly, highly energetic employee. Once we were sat down the employee proceeded to help us with the menu and helped me pick something completely amazing. I’m not even sure if it was on the menu. But once I got the food. I was floored. Every bite was perfection. Creamy, saucy, salty goodness. The texture and flavor. The entire sensory experience. It all points to a culinary virtuoso somewhere behind the scenes at Portia’s. Go now before they realize what they have or the masses discover it.

My first experience was through Doordash and I ordered 6 pizzadillas and was only given 4. They tasted okay. Me loving small businesses decided to give them a second chance and went back 2 weeks later. I order the garden breakfast muffin. The taste was okay but after making it halfway through I found a short black hair in it 🤢. I have brown hair so it wasn’t me. It made me so nauseous. Again I love small businesses and I hate making negative reviews but one thing I learned about running a small business is even the negative ones can be taken in a way that can better your business. So my intention is not to mortify but to hope you guys learn from my experience and grow.

I was excited to try this place, got a take out for a cheesecake and quesadilla. I was a little disappointed with the size of the cheesecake and I wouldn’t say I am a fan but tasted good for the ingredients. Quesadillas were top notch, very flavorful and felt wholesome :)

You gotta go! Its SO nice to be able to go into a vegan gluten free restaurant and not have to worry about whats in the food. No junk here. Homemade vegan items. No junk premade burgers. Not to mention how trasparent they are about how they make it or whats in it. We travel just to come here and then spend the day hiking or at the beach. This place is the best vegan restaurant in ohio I've been to. Must try their diner as well. We LOVE portias

I love the concept of the vegan food. I really was wondering why everyone was wearing basic street clothes though (tank tops and big shirts). I was given cold soup and my food really didn’t have flavor to it. I’ve been a vegan for 3 years and I mean come on now... maybe some salt or pepper might help

Okay. Wow. I don’t even know where to start. I could rave about this place for days. I found out I was allergic to gluten a few years ago, & haven’t been able to find “the restaurant” yet that I can truly come to every week. WELL THAT CHANGED. I had such an amazing experience. Allie was my waitress & she was SO kind. She gave off such great energy & a joy to talk to. I even told her to surprise me with a few meals to take home. She killed it. The atmosphere here is so inviting & welcoming. The staff was fun & friendly, & made me feel like this is a place I could come to just say hi & feel comfortable. You can tell this place has great people & great spirits. HECK they even had GLUTEN FREE PIE. (Like WHAT?!) I’m so happy I came across this place & honestly cannot wait to come back & tell everyone about it. Thank you so much for making my experience so good, & honestly bringing such a big smile to my face!! :)

Met up with friends here and loved the inside atmosphere. So many things to look at and so many yummies for sale! The drinks were yummy—espresso and chais and orange soda. Everyone really enjoyed their food. The only one thing we didn’t love was the cheese used on the tofu egg— was wondering if it was a homemade cheese. But that didn’t deter us too much. The tofu gyro was hit. Didn’t get to try any desserts as we were all full, but I would definitely go back to try more items from their giant menu and the desserts! It was a little pricey, $20+ a person, so I would consider it more of a plant-based great place. I’m always on the lookout for vegan staples in cities where I have reasons to go back, and this is a spot I will remember for future use. Thanks for a great meal!

I was hoping for a much better meal given the amount of positive reviews, but my food was not very good at all. The hummus had minimal flavor and was really just not good. The broccoli and avocado soup had a pretty bad taste and odor and I couldn’t eat more than one bite. I ordered the half gyro as a bowl and it was pretty much a small salad with a couple tomato slices and tofu pieces. The sauce was quite tasty, but sadly that was about the only positive in the entire meal.
