BJ’s
Restaurant
and
Brewhouse
is
located
outside
of
the
Polaris
shopping
center.
Many
considerations
were
taken
into
effect
when
this
establishment
was
built.
The
handicap
parking
spots
are
right
outside
the
front
entrance,
creating
an
accessible
environment
for
people
with
physical
disabilities.
The
sidewalks
are
flush
with
the
handicap
spots,
easily
allowing
a
wheelchair
to
be
transferred
to
the
sidewalk
and
up
to
the
main
entrance.
The
main
entrance
itself
does
not
have
a
handicap
powered
button
to
automatically
open
the
door,
but
it
does
have
a
revolving
door.
This
revolving
door
can
fit
a
wheelchair,
but
I
noticed
that
it
could
be
difficult
to
maneuver
through
if
the
physically
handicapped
patron
did
not
have
help.
Inside
the
restaurant,
the
area
is
very
roomy.
This
allows
people
with
a
wheelchair,
walking
cane,
or
other
physical
disabilities
to
be
able
to
move
throughout
the
restaurant
with
ease.
There
is
a
ramp
that
leads
up
to
the
bar
area,
it
is
not
very
steep,
so
it
is
nice
for
wheelchairs
and
people
who
struggle
with
mobility
to
move
throughout
the
restaurant.
Before
that
ramp
is
the
hallway
to
the
restrooms
which
has
sign
that
include
braille
on
them
to
help
people
with
vision
impairments
understand
which
restroom
they
are
about
to
enter.
The
restrooms
include
bathroom
stalls
that
are
wheelchair
accessible,
and
these
stalls
also
contain
a
grab
bar
to
increase
stability
when
moving
on
and
off
the
toilet.
The
sinks
in
the
bathroom
are
of
appropriate
height
for
standing
and
seated
use,
helping
people
of
all
ages
and
sizes
to
sanitize
after
use.
When
dining,
the
tables
and
booths
are
easily
accessible
and
a
customer
in
a
wheelchair
can
comfortably
be
seated
there,
except
for
the
high-top
tables.
Furthermore,
the
employees
are
well
equipped
with
knowledge
of
the
menu.
This
helps
patrons
who
are
blind
or
have
intellectual
disabilities
when
ordering.
Overall,
I
am
very
pleased
with
the
exterior
and
interior
accommodations
of
this
restaurant
for
patrons
who
have
these
various
disabilities.
