I
ate
at
the
Scrambler
Marie's
at
567
E.
Livingston
Ave.
on
Good
Friday
[4-15-2022]
while
on
my
way
to
an
"Urban
Way
of
the
Cross"
event
[hosted
by
Church
and
Community
Development
For
All
People,
946
Parsons
Ave.]
that
had
been
scheduled
to
begin
about
one
hour
later
at
Livingston
Park,
760
Livingston
Ave.
Below
had
been
my
food
choice
for
breakfast
that
morning.
Uncle
Moose’s
Manhandler
Skillet:
Bacon,
ham,
sausage,
onions,
and
a
blend
of
Monterey
Jack
and
Cheddar
cheeses,
on
a
bed
of
skin-on
potato
chunks
and
topped
with
two
eggs,
any
style,
and
your
choice
from
the
Bread
Pantry.
I
had
studied
the
menu
on-line
--
in
advance
of
my
visit
--
so
that
I
would
be
able
to
order
quickly
upon
arrival.
There
had
been
a
brief
wait
after
I
had
arrived
[even
though
the
restaurant
had
been
mostly-empty],
evidently
[as
explained
by
a
sign
at
the
welcome
counter]
because
they
are
short-staffed.
I
was
seated
at
a
table
near
the
window
[where
I
could
watch
the
passing
traffic
on
E.
Livingston
Ave.
near
Nationwide
Children's
Hospital].
My
one
disappointment
with
my
otherwise-delicious
meal
at
Scrambler
Marie's
had
been
the
Sourdough
Toast
[ordered
from
the
"Bread
Pantry"
menu
as
a
"side"
with
my
meal].
I
had
been
expecting
that
this
toast
would
be
moist
and
heavy
while
in
fact
it
had
been
light
and
crispy.
The
food
at
Scrambler
Marie's
had
been
delicious;
the
wait
staff
had
been
friendly
and
helpful;
I
definitely
recommend
Scrambler
Marie's
for
breakfast
or
lunch
whenever
you
happen
to
be
in
that
neighborhood.
