Omg fresh and flavor-ful! What a nice hidden gem with moderate pricing and generous portions that leave you feeling satisfied. The ambiance is peaceful and inviting, great for couples with booth seating available. I didn't like that the sodas are canned versus fountain which increases the expense and lessens the value. The food and service were otherwise a hit and sushi lovers should definitely try this place on for size. It's downtown so prepare for street parking and a short walk - both well worth it for the pleasantries received on arrival.

Best sushi restaurant I’ve been to in Columbus so far. The vibes and most importantly the food are on point. Apps included shumai and the soft shell crab. Let me tell you…. The soft shell crab was FIRE. Crispy, full of flavor, and paired with a nice sauce. If you like tempura you will love this. Definitely an app for two. Sushi rolls included the 1126, blue fin tuna, monster, and spider. Monster was my personal fave - no soy sauce needed. Also check out that presentation tho - very on point. Lastly I feel this is a nice date spot. 5/5 will be coming back.

Fantastic sushi in the heart of short north. Fun, unique and creative rolls that are fresh and reasonably priced. Service is great and really helpful too! Definitely would come back

Delicious food and great service! We sat right by the window, so tons of natural light and people watching! I wish I could remember everything we ordered, but I don't. I know one of the rolls is a tiger roll, and the fried pieces are tempura soft shell crab!

Overall this is one of my new top favorite sushi places next to Oshio. The only thing I didn't care for was the prices, a little expensive, BUT the food was great. I think the raw fish was really good quality ! We had a great server, Emma she was really patient with us, considering it was our first time here. I would definitely come back! I've noticed the more pricier places have the best sushi, I guess it's true you get what you pay for. Definitely would recommend coming here, and make sure you make a reservation if you can. We walked in and the people who greeted us seemed a little disappointed we were walking in

Literally THE best sushi I’ve ever had! I eat here once if not twice a week and it never disappoints. The staff is always super polite & accommodating. They do temp checks to the door & have adapted to Covid life very well. I always feel safe here. Make sure you make a reservation! They fill up fast, especially with Covid guidelines.

Food was average for being prime downtown... service was pretty bad honestly. Waitress forgetfull and lack of care. They forgot my tea and boiled it so hot it burnt the s out of my mouth. Yakisoba acked basic flavor. Meh.

Usually dinner takes about an hour but this place took 2. We got sushi and hibachi. Should have just gotten sushi since that was the best part. The shrimp appetizer tasted and looked like they were bought from the freezer section at the store then deep fried them. I wasn’t a fan of the drinks either. When I order a martini I expect to receive a martini, not a sugar bomb in a tiki cup 😑

Comfortable average paced restaurant. The appetizers and sushi were certainly among the best and reasonably priced for Columbus. Most of the staff seemed kind enough, our particular server was a little snarky and snappy. Would happily go back and give it a second try.

Incredible atmosphere, super cute and cozy! Fun drinks and amazing sushi!!! Their spring rolls are extra crispy and omg the Thai chili sauce was delicious!! Really really loved their dynamite roll, definitely going back to try like 5 other things off their menu. They have it all!

Extensive menu, may overwhelm some, but you might as well close your eyes and poke ‘n pick cause you can’t go wrong here. I got a variety of salmon rolls and a galaxy roll. Galaxy roll was real pretty. I didn’t tap into the Sake because I was on antibiotics, but there’s lots, and I look forward to next time.

When Arrive to this fine Establishment your sure to leave feeling refresh and filled not full to where you have to sleep automatically but But satisfied. Everything about this place is good including Sushi soups and drinks. Great place for any special occasion! Customer service is awesome. Worth every penny!

For the high quality of everything about this restaurant and the amazing sushi especially, it's a great value. A bluefin tuna roll was $10 and we had some stellar special rolls for $15-18ea. I've had *a lot* of sushi all over the country but I'd place this I'm my top 3% of places I've ate.

Visited with a friend while we were out exploring restaurants we haven’t tried before. The Tiger roll we ordered and shared was delicious! Good quality fish, nice sized roll, and the roll was served quickly. We sat at the bar, and the bartender was very friendly. She suggested trying the Crispy Tuna on a future visit. Based on how much I liked the Tiger Roll, I will be back to try the Crispy Tuna!

I actually love this place and order often. I recieved the wrong sushi roll (I ordered a specialty roll and recieved a basic sushi roll) I called the store to confirm and the manager said "well I packaged that order myself so it should be fine" ... Well I literally have proof it is not what I ordered and if a manger thinks a basic "California roll" looks right compared to a specialty roll with sauce and fish on top well I hope they give her some training. I understand mistakes but please own up to them. You just lost a customer solely based on a mangers response.

Its hard to imagine the quality of food here before Covid considering during this pandemic still serving amazingly fresh sushi. Any sushi lover knows the key to great sushi is fresh seafood products. The 1126 delivered nothing but the best quality products available. They went as far to substitute fresh blue crab for the imitation crab mix they were serving due to them not being able to affordably source real crabmeat. We ordered five rolls: The Fantastic Roll. The American Dream Roll. The Lobster Roll . The Fancy Roll and The 1126 Roll. Listed in the order of best to good. My only complaint was The 1126 Roll is not well put together and is impossible to be picked up using chopstick because it falls apart due to the rice not maintaining its structure when pressure is applied using chopsticks. Overall the ambience is fantastic and will become my go to place for sushi. I am happy to not have to make the drive all the way up to Akai Hana. The 1126 has a more modern city feel to their ambience. Give you that San Francisco vibe while Akai Hana has that traditional Japanese vibe. Both are equally great, I am just glad to find a place that serves fresh sushi close to me.

Fresh and high quality sushi for a great price! I absolutely love coming here to eat! The food is great and the service is always good! The people that work here are very considerate of food allergies and helped me make sure I didn’t get the wrong thing. 10/10 recommend this place. Can’t say anything bad about it.

It was around dinner time 9/15/2021 when I stopped in to pick up a delivery order for Uber eats. Upon my arrival I stood at the door patiently waiting for assistance that never came. I noticed two bags packed ready to go near the bar area. One placed on a chair thee other on the counter. I then grabbed the order I was suppose to pick up for the customer. And then a very very DISRESPECTFUL and UNPROFESSIONAL lady who appeared to be the greeter came from around the bar area approached me saying…”no, no.” “Let me see that.” She then said…”the sign says wait.” Clearly I was waiting. She was RUDE showed POOR TASTE and she was SOCIALLY INADEQUATE. I was surprised to see a lady in her position who could use more training in social interaction with customers/people.

1126 is the best! Delicious food and great drinks! Highly recommend everyone to stop here and check it out. You won't be disappointed! If you get a chance, make sure to meet Daniel! He is so passionate about his businesses.

This is an excellent sushi restaurant with a classy vibe and bar. They have one of the more unique sushi menus I've seen locally. The sashimi I've tried was excellent, so there's no surprise the freshness of the seafood carries over to the the rolls. The basic, staple rolls seem to have a level of elevation that makes them much better than average. I personally loved the 1126 Roll, but I'm eager to keep coming back to try more of the menu. I'd highly recommend you do the same!

Delicious sushi! My boyfriend is picky and said this is the best sushi in Columbus! He even recommended it to his friend who is a great cook from California. Highly recommend the Galaxy roll !

Name and decor don’t fit a Japanese sushi restaurant, but gave it a shot anyways. Started with soft shell crab appetizer, which was delicious. The sauce didn’t quite fit, but soy was just fine. Next had a few of the specialty rolls. Presentation and appearance were spot on, Taste was average. The lobster roll was the exception however. That roll was top notch delicious. The 1126 doesn’t compare to say Akai Hana, and it really made me miss Haiku. If craving sushi I’ll likely stick to my usual spots but I’d give it a strong Maybe to try again.

Went for my birthday dinner with my boyfriend and got to have Tina as our server, she was so kind about my peanut allergy and had amazing recommendations especially the fried oysters. This place continues to impress me with its quality and consistency of its sushi. Thanks again Tina!

Great experience. My little sister wanted to gather here with family, friends and colleagues for drinks and food for her birthday, and her husband delivered! It was a rocky start in the beginning. However, the manager came out and we were able to get a new server and the rest of the evening went perfect thanks 1126 restaurant for making sure we were taken care of. You have to remember to pay to park on the street or you will come out to a ticket!

Traveling through and heard it was solid. My first thought was sushi in Ohio!?!? Not a chance. Glad I gave them a chance. Sushi is fresh and every bit as good as I get on the west coast. Great food, amazing drink selection. If you're looking for Japanese Whiskey they have a very impressive selection.
