I was excited to try a new Indian place and unfortunately am sadly disappointed! Not only was it Hands Down THE most expensive Paneer Makhani I've EVER ordered, but the actual dish had ZERO PEAS and was incredibly thin :( My rice container was half full...NOT worth the money, at all!!!

Great spot for Indian fare. Liked the ambience - gives an upscale Indian dhaba feel. Food was great. Tried the tandoori and chicken curry. Both were nicely cooked with great Indian flavors. Will visit again to try their other chef specials.

Food was bland , lamb masala turned out to be water masala, paratha’s were burned and tasteless over all food is horrible .

Arrived 10 minutes early. Called for curbside to let them know I was there. Gentleman on the phone was not the kindest individual. Previous service has been amazing so I had a $10 tip ready, but after waiting 10 minutes after my awaited order time, I went into the store and my order was just sitting on a table. Grabbed it, and walked out. I’ll probably order from AAB from now on. Also $2 for 1.8 oz of chutney is a rip off. This is coming from an understanding patient fellow restaurant manager.

We came here for my birthday dinner and we loved the food and the ambience. I definitely recommend this place for some good Indian food.

I’ll get this out first - everyone must at the very least try the chicken or beef biryani, and the samosas with the chutney. It is ahhhh-mazing!!!!!! Now…. There’s really no way to sum this place up in a few words! So the short version is an account of a particular visit- I was very sick and my appearance showed it. A quick trip in to pick up my carry out order while looking like death I was greeted warmly with a smile and a lady who attended to every detail. I asked to double check that my chutney was in the order as it was previously left out. She not only checked, but gave me an extra cup. She then engaged in small conversation which led to her answering several questions. I learned about the diversity of employees and the Indian holiday Holi and provided me with my own cup of color. This all matters because most times when you don’t look the best you receive terrible service. Thank you Alex for loving your job and your customers. I felt so much better walking out than I did walking in!!

My husband and I ordered an online pick up order. His lamb shank was very tough, and there were few cubes of meat in my korma. The best dish was the samosa. My dessert contained a flying insect and had to be discarded.

Some of the best samosas I've ever had! Restaurant is a little dark inside but the mango smoothie and the mango lassi were great! We had samosa appetizers and chicken vindaloo (hot) and lamb shank (medium heat). Absolutely amazing dishes. Will definitely be coming back again :)

It's the best Indian place overall in my experience. Great value all around in terms of portions. Best entrees, amazing samosa, and the literal best chutney on the face of the planet. The owner remembers us every time, and every person working there is the nicest. I haven't been there for lunch yet in the ten years we've been going here, but I get to shift that. Tonight I had the best lamb chops I can recall ever having.

Indian Oven has gone through many good changes. As soon as you enter the restaurant, you see that the new owners introduced very eye-pleasing decorations throughout the entire area. My wife and I went to the restaurant for lunch on a weekday. The service was polite, professional and quick. The food was outstanding. My special request (to have veggies instead of rice) was accepted and honored. We plan to go back to Indian Oven.

I been here 5 years ago but i recently Started coming back because since they changed owner the food is hands down the best in Columbus. Can u believe I been here 5times in this month now. I have enjoyed their lunch special which gives u option to pick from as I pass by here on my lunch break for break. I don’t know what more to say than those who say no this place doesn’t have good food haven’t been here recently. 5years ago the food wasn’t this good but today. I can hands down promises everyone the food here is amazing. Plus the waiters always recommend u to try new things which I liked a lot. I can smell the food they cook from the road and as I enter which tells me they cook their food from scratch. I will be dinning here more often which I know they know my face by now lol please bring your friends and family even little kids this place offers great setting for big or small gatherings as well.

First time having Indian food ever. Could not of went any better. Very kind waiters, beautiful atmosphere, and not to mention very exotic and delicious meals. A plethora of reasons to plan your next meal at Indian Oven.

We ordered three appetizers, veg pakora, aloo tikki Chaat, paneer pakora. The veg pakoras were refried but tasted fine. The aloo tikki Chaat had something off and was sour. And the paneer pakoras were smelling and had gone bad. As a replacement, they we ordered aloo chop. Although the service was quite fast, to our disappointment, they had no salt and were tasteless. The only taste it had was of the oil it was soaked in. Not a good experience for appetizers.

This is by far the best Indian food in town! The owners Jay and Sasha are so welcoming! Sasha always dresses up the tables and creates wonderful designs for every holiday or occasion. Servers Sufi and Milan will take care of your desires for tasty food! Indian Oven has room for any group size whether you are bringing your date for the romantic dinner or having birthday party or any other occasion!

A long-time go-to spot in Downtown Columbus for great Indian food! The food is consistently great and the service is always friendly and genuine. You are missing out if you do not give this place a try. A perfect option for carryout, but even better for dine in! Something for everyone, including gluten free, vegan, and vegetarian options. Yummy!

Had a great experience here. Upscale atmosphere but not to upscale. Service was good and very genuine. Food was excellent. My lover and I had a very enjoyable date night here. Two thumbs up

Best Indian food I have ever had. My wife and I ordered two entrees, naan, vegetable pakora, and tea. Everything tasted delicious with the perfect blend of spices. Every employee was very nice and inviting. The restaurant itself was very clean and inviting. This will be our go to spot for Indian cuisine.

Wonderful, friendly service and outstanding food. Tonight I stopped by to order takeout and the restaurant was beautifully decorated with sparkling lights and tables set with lamps and greenery. The curry is fantastic - creamy with a wonderful mix of spices. I like it hot and it has plenty of heat without overpowering the taste of the sauce. The peshwari naan is perfectly baked with a smoky char and the kheer is my favorite treat to end the meal. Parking is super easy in an off-street lot available with entrance to the right of the restaurant front. I live about 40 minutes outside Columbus. When I come into town, Indian Oven is one of my favorite spots to zip by on my way back home to get a wholly unique, delicious meal I can't find close by. It's a must try and you'll be hooked, too!

Our first Indian food dining experience and by far they are in a league of their own. We had an amazing experience for Valentine’s Day my husband and I. The food was delicious, atmosphere and service wonderful we were the only people dining in, 😂 lol. Perfect

What an incredible experience! Food was delicious. The food was FLAVOR!! We were very well cared for. The staff was attentive. Atmosphere was great. I can't say enough good things about this place.

The food was great and the restaurant beautiful! My only issue was the waiter, he was good until the end. He asked for his tip to be zelled to him to make sure he gets it and then asked if we wanted his Zelle number. I wrote in his tip on the bill and declined to Zelle him. Either the servers aren’t getting their tips or this particular person is trying to scam people. Either way it makes me not want to go back.

Had not visited here in a while, so we placed a take out order and were not disappointed. Everything was delicious, well-flavored, and ready on time for pickup. I really enjoyed everything we ordered, we'll definitely be returning more frequently in the future!

Ordered from GrubHub since we had a gift card. Looks like GH marks up the menu about 10 percent FYI. We order the Bread Basket, Tandoori Chicken Tikki Masala, Lamb Curry, Pickles. The lamb curry was solid and craveable - sipping up the sauce with the bread was the way to go. The Chicken was also good but we preferred the lamb overall. Not a fan of the pickles but worth a try for the price (small portion) if you're feeling adventurous. Food was call ahead and ready when we got there (at promised time) and was very hot temperature so perfect for immediate consumption at final destination. Overall we were very happy with our food and would recommend this place to others. Serving sizes were enough for dinner and one leftover portion.

My wife and I have visited a couple of times now and we enjoy coming here. Food: we have only tried a handful of dishes but all of them have been tasty. We have ordered the medium spice and I will say that it was quite a bit milder than I was expecting/hoping (perhaps they were worried we were making a mistake). I will definitely try the hot spice level the next time. Interior and ambiance: the inside is well designed and the decorations change depending on season/holidays which is charming. It has been a relatively quiet, somewhat romantic, environment which was nice and relaxing but you could bring a family with no problems. Staff: everyone we have met has been kind and very helpful. They are attentive and they double check if needed to make sure our order is correct. Parking: relatively easy parking right beside the building (could fill up quickly if they are busy). I am sure that we will be back!

The staffing was super friendly and attentive. I loved the vibe and decor. Their food was really good and they had a buffet option when I went there it was awesome. The food portion is worth the money. Definitely going to come back and 10/10 recommend!

Good portion size, tasty food. Definitely have had better indian food but this place is neat. Restaurant is nice looking, service is good. Samosas were maybe undercooked? The fried pastry had some raw looking bites here and there. However the main entrees were all perfect and everyone was satisfied. Prices are average.

Fantastic service. Very attentive dtaff, the decor is very cute. Food came out fast and hot. Hot option is perfect: spicy but not overwhelming. Had the lake curry, good ratio of meat to sauce. They gave a perfect amount of rice with the dish, so you're just full after but not too much so.

Absolutely by far the best Indian food I've ever had anywhere. Everything was perfect! The largest most flavorful Samoa I've ever had. I'll definitely be back and will spread the word!!!

Phenomenal food, beautiful decor, and great service. They also have a full bar which is always a plus. I tried the korma— on the server’s recommendation (SO GOOD!)— and garlic naan; you can choose your spice level & it is bursting with flavor even without the spice! I wish I hadn’t gotten so full so I’d have been able to try more! From out of town, but will make it a point to stop by again before I leave!

I'll put it this way, we consistently make the drive here from all the way in Dublin. It's THAT good! I would highly recommend trying this restaurant for great food, relaxing atmosphere, and an attentive staff. Plus you can feel good supporting a family owned and operated business.

I don't often leave restaurant reviews but I felt it was worth taking the time to share my experiences here. As someone that grew up not being the biggest fan of Indian food, Indian Oven has completely changed my mind. It's so good that I have been trying new menu items and have very much enjoyed every dish I have tried here. I would also like to compliment the staff. Great work. If you find yourself there when the restaurant is packed, trust me it's worth the wait!

I’m a chef that knows Indian food very well. The first time I came here, I thought it was just okay. It wasn’t bad at all, and would be a place to return to. Just not on the level to say it’s among the best I’ve had. Well, I don’t know who was cooking today, but it was without a doubt phenomenal. The flavors were great. The curry sauce itself was perfect as it was separated and oily so it was definitely how a curry should be. I just hope that the food tastes like this during every visit, not just when a talented person is cooking on a specific day.

I have eaten Indian food all over the country from the SF Bay Area to Texas, Florida, and now Ohio. This is by far the best Indian food I have ever had in my entire life. I am also half Indian and this food rivals my mother’s cooking. The attention to detail here is amazing. The place is clean and the ingredients are fresh. This is so hard to find usually but Indian Oven makes it happen every-time. It’s a consistent standard of great food and service. Aside from the food the staff is so welcoming and knowledgeable about the food and happy to explain things I didn’t understand. I wish more Indian restaurants had such a high standard but that’s what sets this place apart!

The new owners have continued to provide good service and good food. Most of the menu is the same and the food has improved in quality. Always a solid choice. They are not offering the lunch buffet and may not do so again. The menu is extensive and sharing is always a good plan to taste everything.

I came here with my family and the food and customer service couldn’t have been better. The waiter that served us today was very kind, answered any questions we had and gave his recommendations as well. The atmosphere inside was one of the best I’ve seen. It’s clean, friendly, and homey. Our time here couldn’t have been better and we will definitely come back here. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a nice calming location for any events, family dinners, and or date nights, it’s a very versatile location.

I have been living in Columbus since 97 and I finally found place where food and ambiance in Indian Restaurant is amazing. Food Service and selection of drinks is fabulous.
