Short summary: It is only okay... Not really worth the money or an extended drive. Admittedly the opinions of my children will be vastly different than my own. Of course they do not take into account that Columbus is 2.5 hours away nor that we paid nearly $150 for what amounted to little more than a couple hours entertainment... Maybe three hours? My kids had fun and enjoyed every moment they were there. My wife and I though were disappointed with the size of the place and number of activities for the price. I had taken a look at the website but didn't grasp how small the place was, and when chock full of children how little there is to do to spread around. The main floor attraction was also closed which was frustrating. If you live in the area then obviously the drive time is of no consequence. If this is a drive for you then be sure to plan something else because this is not an all day adventure... At least not for us considering our own Lego collection. We were expecting larger more interesting theme rooms and activities. The themed building bins were very low and some empty. The 4D cinema is pretty cool. They have a guided build activity but that costs extra... Which is BS in my opinion as the price for this should be no more than $20 a head... And maybe even $16 or $17. My opinion would be vastly improved at that price point. We have been thinking about planning a trip to the actual Logoland but this experience gives us pause as I fear a similar value proposition. One could debate the value proposition if Lego in general but it is what it is and uniquely positioned in the toy marketplace. But this attraction is probably nothing more than a side note to the Lego organization and books and should NOT be a cash grab attempt.

This place is absolutely fun. It definitely brings out the kid in everybody. There's so much to do. The class by Rob was great. We made airplanes and the step by step instructions and learning about the different lego pieces was interesting. The VR ride was too short but fun. The 3 different 4D movies are a blast. The rides were cute and interactive. The playground was entertaining, and of courses all the amazing Lego builds from floor to ceiling were incredible to look at and inspiring. Very impressive, clean, and fun place. All the staff are great and very friendly.

This place was pretty cool. We went here for family day and the kids had a blast. We chose the ultimate package which included a Lego building workshop and 2 free mini take home Lego kits and a lanyard with an activity pack. It’s a little pricey but the kids enjoyed it. It has several stations to visit and a cafe. The only thing I didn’t really care for was the 4D movie the objects in the movie didn’t really appear to jump out of the screen there was a video online that shows that you could sort of interact with the 4D movie and we didn’t get that experience. Overall it was a good experience. We might visit in a couple years just so my two-year-old can experience it the way my older two kids did.

My son and I went today. Lots of good fun things. Loved the Lego factory tour, the mini city, the creative workshop, the 4D movie experience. Didn’t love the staff, very short and rude to the children, especially the employee running the 4D cinema. One positive employee stood out, the employee that ran the creative workshop Sebastian, very patient and kind with the kids!!!! But for the price I just expected a little bit more…. I’m a Lego lover it was definitely worth a 1x experience with my son, but that’s it. Can’t imagine I would come back.

Its a small place with few attractions. Not bad, at the same time not very great either. Cant expect much from a small place inside a Mall. Ticket prices for Adults which is around 30+ is slightly expensive. Kids specifically less than 5-7 will enjoy more. Lego lovers would love building Legos, No doubt. Worth for one time visit. Kids had fun, Most of the Adults had no other option other than resting in nearby Sofas and watching kids play :)

Legoland was a hit with my three year old and was also fun for the rest of the family. We were able to spend a few hours there and never ran out of things to do. I was impressed with the small rides that my toddler could ride and also the play areas that allowed children to explore building lego creations and also areas to climb and run off some energy. We used a free child admission with adult purchase found on the back of some small ($5) building sets (thank you to the other reviewer for mentioning this!)... I would definitely consider a yearly pass if there was a location closer to my home. Be sure to bring any lego person figurine and check out the Master Builders to do a free trade, a very cool perk to visiting!

Perfect for my 5 & 7 year olds. They actually enjoyed the rides and activities more than the free building (which I was kind of ok with bc there were a fair number of snotty little kids rubbing their faces then touching community LEGO). There's a Friend's section for older builders. A DUPLO table where you can test against an "earthquake". Car table and 2 race tracks to test your vehicle. And a 5 and under section with a slide, DUPLO, and extra large foam bricks that still interlock. We wore masks and used the plethora of antibacterial soap in dispensers all through the facility. We even started over again and went through 90% a second time. There's basically nothing gluten free but there's solid options for small lunches for kids and adults. Prices without the extra LEGO souvenirs aren't bad. But if you buy the extras, you'll see a hefty jump. And I dare you to deny your kid a LEGO lunch box. LOL My kids had pb&j Uncrustables, pudding, and juice. My nephew had a personal sized pepperoni pizza (basically microwaved). But they had a good coffee maker and lots of cold drinks, which to be honest, is preferred bc it's warm with all the people and kids. Not terribly but enough that hot drinks aren't probably ever necessary. There is a small room with Master Builders and the two men we met were funny, kind, patient, and very talented. They both talked with my nephew for about 30 min each. And it was fun to watch them build. Sometimes they do kits and sometimes they free build things that will be decor or added to the LEGO City you can walk through and interact with. The rides were so much fun. They rode the Wizard ride about 7 times. We did the Princess rescue at the start only twice and I wish we'd done it more. It's a shooting game with laser guns and the adults and kids can both fit. It was so much fun watching scores. I definitely recommend at least 1 4D movie. The Knights one was so well done that my 5yo reached out for the things coming off the screens a few times. And the bits of fog they did he thought was real smoke. The movie itself (about 15 min) was really cute too. We did the very basic package and skipped the scheduled building that cost more. Maybe later but for a first visit, we stayed 5 hours. Could have stayed longer but I'm Celiac and was getting shaky from no real food, only sugary drinks. I highly recommend picking up the $5 kits in plastic bags at like Target or Walmart. There's a coupon for a free kid admission with the purchase of an adult. Saved me $50! (Some of the boxed kits have them too.) However, DO NOT buy from their store. They say you get 5% off but we stopped in the real LEGO store outside and found they'd raised the prices at the LEGO Experience so you're actually paying what you would at the actual LEGO store, where you can get VIP points if you sign up for an account (which I HIGHLY recommend - it's free and points can equal gift cards for the LEGO site). That being said, the outside store carried so much more NEW sets while the Experience store carries some older ones. So check both but try to buy outside. My kids are already planning our next trip. LOL It's a great day trip but I'm thinking in the spring. Hopefully less colds and no heavy jackets. I took a backpack and felt like a mule trying to carry everything. LOL

The front personal were friendly, while the ones in the back and in the Cafe acted like they'd rather be somewhere else. It is a nice family experience, but definitely could be cleaner with the RR's and walls. They do a 5 🌟 job cleaning the rides. The food is all pre-made, but decent. Play area is very large and fun for kids. The staff don't do a good job letting you know about the shows and "crafts". Plenty of the Lego pieces for the races didn't connect well. But it was still fun for the kids.

We purchased tickets on deal so couldn't miss it. Check-in was easy with already making kids hungry to get down the elevator. In the basement is where the magic happens. There are rides, activities, movies, food & drinks and also exhibits. We spent easy three hours and loved everything about it. Highly Recommends Kids Activities in Columbus area. Check out Easton Center right next block with shopping, food, drinks, movies and more. Legoland is a must go if you're in Columbus OH.

LegoLand Discovery Center Columbus, Oh is a great place to take the kids. If you purchase packages online you can get better deals!$! It is a little smaller than I imagined but kids love it and there are many educational activities. Great staff unfortunately the parking is confusing if you are not familiarized with Columbus.

A climbing play area, movie theatre, theme-park type rides… so much here beyond playing with Legos. Best for ages 4+ even though they charge full price for 2 and up (unfortunate considering that age isn’t tall enough for most of the attractions).

There are some pros and cons to this place. First the pros. Love that we have something like this in Columbus. It's easy to find and get to. They do have a decent variety of rides and activities, primarily for younger children. And it was easy to navigate once inside. Now a few cons. First, it can feel expensive for what you actually get. I also think kids aged 8-10 will get bored pretty quickly. Last, it could use a good deep clean. Overall, happy we went once but don't see a reason to go again.

I paid for 4 people, and I bought the whole package. Their was not enough black people Legos. I didn't receive my picture, because of problems with the kiosk. I paid for that picture and I should receive it 😌.

First time at LEGOland Columbus. I agree it is pricey for adults but, we had a great time. My toddler got in free and was busy for hours! It’s not the cleanest of places but I can see how it would be hard to keep all those legos clean (in the gym area) . I highly recommend going there. Also- someone commented about a staff member being mean to their kid (in another review)- I think we experienced that staff member as well, but I didn’t take him as mean- i felt that that was just his norm. (Think the Good Dr character). He made sure the kids were following the rules and his delivery was just not typical but again, I had no issues and he even interacted sweetly with my kid!

Get your tickets online early. Make sure you get the ticket level that offers the class. The staff were nice and as helpful as they could be. The guy that did our builder class was awesome. I wish I could remember his name.

I loved visiting LegoLand with my students! I actually visited with a child who used a wheelchair and it was completely accessible. She was able to ride all of the rides and every activity had more than enough space for her to participate and move around freely. The elevators and ramps were wide enough for her wheelchair. The only suggestion would be to the birthday party room- there is not a lot of space in there if you have groups larger than 10-15 people and there is not much space to move around.

It was our first time visiting, The kids had a good time I will say the online map made it look like it might be a larger entertainment venue but it was still fun nonetheless. The Lego activities were neat, the kids favorite was the vibration plate build area and the rides were simple but neat as well. I thought the Lego display area of the city would be larger as well and offer more to walk through and look at, but it was more so set up as a hallway to get to the other areas. Still an enjoyable time and I would recommend for someone really into Lego.

Let's just get this out of the way... the entrance is in the mall! Other than the entrance being a little hard to find this place is awesome. My 8 and 5 year old had an absolute blast and they cannot wait to go back. The staff was very friendly, helpful and patient. We will definitely return!

The place is small, but the staff are just delightful. We were there on a weekday and had it almost to ourselves. Two rides, a master builder class (absolutely the best value there), playground, show, and lots of Lego free play. A total win for our Lego obsessed preschooler, although I think older kids might find it less exciting.

  • 3/5 Robert M. 7 months ago on Google
website doesn’t inform you that the entrance is inside the mall. I spent 30 minutes walking around lost with two toddlers, because there is no signage or direction. website also doesn’t inform you that socks are required for the play areas.

4D cinema was the best part of the trip but we were only able to catch one of them. The shows are every 30 minutes with different movies showing, so if you want to do other things you have to pick which movie and time you will go. One ride and the play set was shut down, nothing on the website about that or told to us when we arrived, would have been nice to know. Plenty of areas for the kids to play with their Legos and a nice race area to race cars you build. Went to the store after and the Legos were decently priced. We bought two of the smaller sets for our 4 and 5 year old. The entrance is inside the mall so take that into consideration when timing your trip.

Good place for kids to spend some time. They have two rides that both kids & adults can enjoy. There is also very nicely built LEGO models for showcase. Other than that a maze for small kids to climb and build a lego model to race area. Unfortunately, there is no one in the race area to guide the kids. May be some more rides and more clean lego build area might make it worth the price.

Nice place to take little ones. Kids liked building legos(multiple spots to build), enjoyed the wizard quest(shorting game) and the 4D theater. It was less busy at 10am during the week.

Pretty cool place worth a visit. We went over memorial day weekend and crowds were not bad. The merlin quest ride is super fun and rivals any good amusement park. The mini land is quite cool with some interactive items such as boat races and other fun buttons. The playground is huge and our kids had a blast. The 4d theater is fun and has multiple different shows thrououggt they day. In all, lots of fun, but a bit small overall.

Great place for little ones! Has a lot of interaction kiosks to play with, 2 rides one for young kids and one probably 5+ of age. Has a few build yourself lego areas, 2 playgrounds in it and a build workshop. If you plan on visiting more than once a year, you might as well buy annual pass to save yourself money!

We visited in September 2019. It was a good day out for kids but extremely pricey ($25) for the small play area with just 4-5 kid attractions. Specially considering if both parents are accompanying the child (additional $25 each), when there is absolutely nothing in there for adults. Really bad cafe food. I ordered ours and it wasn't cooked at all (still frozen). So I handed it back only for them to burn it from outside whole still frozen in the center. They offered me a refund but it took ages for the manager to arrive and process the refund. However, she later did come back and apologised again for the service.

Fun place, pretty clean, good & basic rides. Almost identical to the location in Michigan. They were a but understaffed, but we went on a weekday in early May (probably early in their season). Ms. Dah (spelling??) was THE BEST with our special needs girl and super sweet. Would be 4/5, but her caring attitude took it over the top -- seriously above and beyond!!

They are understaffed. The front desk service will be pretty slow. Buy your tockets online. The actual place is great though, the rides were fun and perfect for 3 to 8 year olds although I enjoyed it as well and I'm a bit older. There is just enough to do to keep you busy for about three hours. Lines for the wizard ride will be about 30 minutes long and the movies they show are about every 30 minutes as well. Did not taste the food but it looked to be popular. I think its worth visiting once and I wonder if all of the legolands are about the same because I'd be willing to check out other legolands.

LegoLand is by far one of the coolest places we have ever been. I am not sure if it was me or my kids who had the most fun. It isn't for toddlers. They had good covid protocol. Toddler tunnels were "closed due to maintenance". No duplos for toddlers. You get a bag of clean Legos and asked to return when done. Im sure its a great place for older children.

This place is fun. Great for the kids. Though it isn't toddler safe! They have a cute little toddler zone yet my daught fell and gashed her head open and was rushed to the ER, she's 2½. I would highly recommend a better safety area for toddlers. Staff did handle it ok but not the way they should have. But the manager was friendly and helped.

Overall it was a fun experience for our toddler grandson. However the facility was dirty, many adults and youths were not wearing masks, supervisors and/or managers were no where to be found should you need assistance or have questions and the store at the exit was barely stocked with merchandise. Besides the two rides and the one person cleaning bags of legos, there was no one insight cleaning the facility.

Just a cluster. First of all the entrance is in through the mall, that would have been good to know before I drive 3 hours to get here. Second no structure. If you think the kids will be guided through anything you are mistaken. It’s a free for all. Not much better that a Mcdonalds play land. The rules are posted, but no one enforced them, so basically that means no rules. Certainly not worth 25 per kid. I didn’t get upset until the older kids( I would guess about nine) started playing in the toddler area. I did not see a single lego character in costume. Third, The cafe is a joke. 1 dollar pizzas is your only choice, and they charge 6$ each. Fourth, this is Not a stroller friendly place, stairs are everywhere and you have to find a away around to get where you need to go, if you can find where you need to go. When you are on the rides, there is no one watching anything, but they are kind enough to put up sign saying they are not responsible for theft. Fifth, as for the treasure hunt, go ahead and spend 5 per kid for a pack of stickers. Sixth and Finally we get to the shopping area at the end of ‘adventure’ and the kids pick out $180 worth of legos and the cashier tells me “ sorry we are not accepting cash,” even though I have the exact amount. This placed is understaffed. It shows in the quality of the experience. It’s sad really, because I think it could have been great. Not happy. Not worth the money. Certainly not worth a trip from out of town. I will not be back.

The place great and I like the attention and care they have taken during the pandemic. The only unfortunate thing that happened with the employee at the cafe who charged the same price for the meal pack without the sandwich and didn’t say it could be replaced with another main meal item that was offered to the family after us.

Legoland in Columbus is a very nice and fun place. Ignore the negative reviews. We used to go during the week, to avoid crowds. Unfortunately, we will not be going there any time soon because of their mask policy for kids. In Ohio kids under 10 are not required to wear masks, so Legoland, please change the age limit. Thank you. For the customer complaining about kids without masks, maybe you should stay home if you are so afraid from kids; and expect that everywhere you go people, including kids, will be wearing masks to "protect" you. Take responsibility for your wants and don't rely on others.

I really wanted to give this place a much higher review, but I can't. Its Sunday hours are 12-6 p.m., with last admission at 4:30 p.m. We bought tickets to arrive at 4 p.m., after my son's nap. Unfortunately, by 5 p.m., the employees were cleaning up all of the legos in the areas we were trying to play and shutting the areas down! There were numerous areas we wanted to play because they looked like fun, but never got the chance because they were already inaccessible by 5 p.m. It was kinda obvious what was on the employees' minds when they started picking up the legos right behind us as we did activities. So we left -- after paying $25 bucks a person for an hour of play and about 50% of the options to participate in. Not doing that again. Talk about making a parent feel uncomfortable...The weird part is that there was a ton of people still there, all feeling forced out an hour before closing. So beware - don't expect the full experience if you are close to closing time. I would shave an hour off of your expectation.

It's located inside Columbus Mall - don't remember the name. It's nice for local residents. Which is also a good play experience for kids during their mall trip with parents. We visited with my daughters day camp. The kids enjoyed themselves. They could at least give a small bag of Lego blocks for the kids to take home. Not worth the price & definitely not worth the 2 hour drive not even for a planned road trip.

They manage to cram a lot into the space. Laser shooting ride upstairs could be improved or replaced. Miniland was amazing. Staff was mostly teenagers-polite and attentive. Target age is probably 4-10 but siblings either side of that would enjoy too. 2-3 hour visit. Location and entrance a bit confusing. A little overpriced.

Awesome experience for the kids and family. I'd highly recommend it and best value was the full package ticket. I wouldn't pay extra for the activity pack. It is so discombobulated and poorly put together that we quickly gave up on it. Most disappointing was the Lego Cafe. All tables needed cleaned and the floor was completely filthy. The wait on the food was easily 20+ minutes for everyone to get everything. Looked like only one of their two quick ovens were working. The pizzas were so small and often served burnt. Portions for the other meals were more than reasonable, it was only the pizzas I would avoid again. Next time, I'd plan to just eat elsewhere after we were done.

My 10 year old and I had a blast on Labor Day at Legoland. We spent the whole day. It was absolutely worth it! It was a birthday trip and every moment brought this look of total wonderment to him. It was wonderful. And I had fun too!

Nice place to bring the kids during a rainy or bad weather day. For the price I expected it to be bigger or have the “extra cost” virtual ride included. They have a play area and a few rides. Make sure the kids have socks or they cant play in the play area. We loved the 4D movie. And thats the thing we go back for.

Cool place, friendly staff. Limiting people, so had to wait in line for a short time to get in

Very very overpriced. Very little for children to do other than build with LEGOs, which they can do at home. Two smaller “rides” at no additional cost. No food offered other than coffee and other drinks. Staff were very friendly. Covid precautions were adhered to by most. Felt safe taking my family.

The ride and mini city were really fun and interesting. Other than that, I felt like it was a bit overpriced to sit and play with Legos. We took a 10 year old and she was probably a couple years older than the target age group. Overall, it was fun to visit once, but I'm not sure we'll be back.

Wouldn’t be so bad if you actually answered your phones. You’re just as bad as Walmart.

Took my 13, 9 and 3 year old boys and they ALL loved it. There was a ton of things to do and you could tell they were very strict about new cleaning practices. I would allow about 2-3 hours to get through everything.

Not sure why you have to have a kid with you for the nonstore part Store is decent had stuff out before the lego store outside of the building. Would like it to go and explore the nonstore part by myself.

It’s very fun for the kids, but way overpriced. I was able to take my son and wife just because my company offer employees discount for LEGOLAND. I believe 75$ for the three of us without discount is pricy. The activities inside are very fun to the kids, he had fun playing and building lego stuff.

Just the right size for a day of fun with the kids! It's absolutely worth the drive and price. The master builder class was our favorite part along with the indoor play structure. They also show short movies every hour of different lego universe shows like Ninjago that can only be seen at Legoland.

I got a random phone call in the middle of the day telling me they got a shipment of Mos Eisley Cantinas in. I had put my name down in a little book and completely forgotten about it since it didn't seem very official. Most places don't do that anymore so it was a great surprise when they actually called. Great management!

First, Dottie was great in making sure the 13 of us were taken care of. The experience was great. I heard folks say it was better than the one in Florida. They have a ride inside of it which is also cool. If you have anyone under 5, there’s something for them too. Them having Starbucks coffee inside was a plus, just doesn’t open until 11 but it still worked for us. A lot legos to play with! It was such a unique fun experience. It helped us settle on choose Easton Center as the point of action and I’m glad it did as there’s so much fun and eating in the area. We enjoyed the experience!

Definitely one of the coolest places I have ever been to with my kids! Absolutely had a blast. The nostalgic feeling as an adult touring the place!
