A hidden gem in Columbus, free and open to the public. Stop by any time and wander at your leisure through any or all three parts of the Arboretum.

Great arboretum on OSU's campus. Several areas including here, Lane Ave Learning Gardens, and Arboretum North. Arboretum employees keep this very nice and are always changing planters to match the seasons.

Get ready to walk! The perennials north of Howlett Hall are mature and of good varieties with sun-loving and shade-tolerent varieties. Further north are the annual trials that are nicely labeled. You'll have to go north of Ag Admin and east along Lane Ave to see a good selection of deciduous trees and shrubs before the conifer garden. Then walk to north of the 4-H Building to see how well/poorly willows do in Ohio, followed by mature shade trees with some pawpaws. One of my favorite insect picture-taking areas!

We went on a guided tour yesterday afternoon that was lead by experienced Master gardeners. Learned a whole bunch, got a little exercise, and got some fresh air in an amazing place. If you’ve not been there - it’s a gem right in the middle of the city. You can even bring your lunch!

Lots of plants, some you have to search for. Bamboo garden is hidden.

Very beautiful garden area on OSU campus. The learning garden is nice to walk around in & the other plants around the buildings are beautiful. There are a few picnic tables & street parking.

Has some native plants but lots of cultivars and typical horticulture plants. Decent spot on campus for bird watching.

Was looking for 2 statues. Horse statue and praying mantis. Mantis is actually across the street, a ways over by another building.
