It is a beautiful Park where you can walk amongst trees, you can sit and watch the huge fountain that sits in the middle of a beautiful pond. There are several benches around the pond. There's a playground for the children. I just found it the other day and I've been there 3 times since then.

Really like this park and the family did too. The kids liked playing in thr play ground and running around all over. This park has a cool little pond and a very beautiful building right in the middle. There are some tennis courts but we forgot to bring our rackets. We did notice that there are alot of different trees all through the park. Very cool to see the leaves changing on half of them. If we're in the area we will stop buy again.

Beautiful park, but can get a little crowded (I was here on Memorial Day weekend). Beautiful fountain, nice walking trails. Gazebo is gorgeous, perfect for photo shoots. Yes, there are a couple of homeless people living in the park, it looks like, but I didn't get bothered -- I'd still stay aware though. Lots of families in the park, lots of dogs, very family friendly and kid friendly - lots of playgrounds. Great place to spend an afternoon.

Goodale Park is one of the best parks in Columbus. Just north of downtown it is to the Short North and Victorian Village that Schiller Park is to German Village.Goodale Park has all of the amenities that you would expect from one of the best parks in Columbus. It has a baseball diamond, basketball court, tennis courts, walking paths, a pond with a fountain, historical markers telling you the history of the park, playground equipment, shelter house, gazebo and much more.

Lovely open and shady green park. Lots of sidewalks/paths to walk on. Calm pond with a fountain and a park area for kids. Well maintained. They also have a couple tennis courts

A wonderful metro park at the South end of the Short North. Goodale has many paved paths, grassy knolls, and benches to accommodate any activity. Great for families and dog owners. The main attraction is the fountain at the center of the pond.

Beautiful, large park with lots of sidewalk areas, perfect for walking with a stroller. It was busy the day we went as the weather was nice and it was a weekend. Many dogs were off leash, but did seem well behaved. The fountain is lovely and it was nice to look at the fish, ducks, and geese.

Beautiful park, even on a cold, dreary winter day. We saw an albino squirrel!

This was a beautiful park in Columbus. I had a few hours to wonder around and chose to walk here. I'm glad I did. The park was gorgeous, clean, and had a wonderful pond and statue. Definitly walk through and use this space to chill when in Columbus.

It was my first time at the park and I was very impressed. Really well designed. Good amount of shade. Lot of winding paths. Perfect place for hanging out in the summer.

Went to Goodale Park for the first time while in Columbus visiting relatives. This park is the first public park in Columbus and is 170 years old. Established in 1851 it has weathered the years well and is still a gem glittering inside the city. Amenities abound, this is a park for everyone with many paved paths and mature specimen trees. The whimsical fountain in the lake is a showpiece. I hope you enjoy it as do many of the residents living in the area surrounding the park.

Itโ€™s probably about as good as a park will get in central Ohio. One view shows downtown and drops you at the bar district, the other is adjacent to short north food and nightlife, the rest perimeter Victorian village architecture and residences. The park hosts a variety of large events, and plenty of locals and pets. Pre Covid it was the place for life and festivities and for this reason it was fairly well celebrated, for now itโ€™s just a decent place for a stroll.

Such a nice park, if only they had actual restrooms!(Not just porty pottys) I'm guessing if you rent their main brick building, it would have indoor bathrooms. The rest of the park is amazing. Very well kept, lots of pretty flowers, nice benches and a newly renovated gazebo.

3 days a year this park is one of the most serene, calm, and inviting places you will ever visit. It is a lovely park every other day of the year, but during Comfest, there is no place I'd rather be to eat some food, buy some tie-dye, and take a nap in the park. Without fail, you will make new friends, and run into old ones with a huge smile.

It has grass and the ducks were gorgeous! It's an amazing place to sit and read, or go for a run. I highly recommend it. It wasn't crowded when we were there, but there were enough places to get food and drinks. It's close to the North Market, making it a great place to sit and enjoy food or a drink.

A very nice and comfortable park. Plenty of benches if you need a rest and large enough to walk around, get plenty of exercise and take in all the beauty. It's a very calming refuge from the hectic city life.

Look, as far as municipal parks go, are you going to do any better? Probably not in this town. That being said, is this truly a FIVE STAR park? No, it isn't. If you're looking for a great city park, go to Chicago, or New York, or even Pittsburgh. Anyways this park gets 4 stars because it's easy to drink here inconspicuously.

I have lived in the Short North neighborhoods of Columbus Ohio โ€” Victorian Village, Harrison West and Italian Village โ€” for 20+ years and one of the joys of living here is this jewel of an urban park. Cited by the Urban Land Institute as one of the finest examples of urban parks in the US, itโ€™s great for people, dogs, Cooperโ€™s hawks and squirrels. We even have a few white squirrels! And cicadas as well.

Very nice park near downtown Columbus, greenery, seating, tennis courts, kids play area, restaurants nearby, clean. There is a small pond on the one side and good parking around and inside. Lot of walking paths inside and lot of trees.. surrounded by dense buildings, good green park..

Itโ€™s a nice park. Thereโ€™s a huge pond with a beautiful fountain and a nice walking path around it. Park is in the middle of the busy city, it was clean for the most part but there was a bit of trash outside of the little play-sets which are kinda small but overall nice.

Weirdest Park I Ever Visited! No Fish in the Pond! Bummer! They need to stock this pond for all the kids to learn how to fish! No Park is complete unless the children play/ fish and run and have fun! They bring life into The Parks! Not here! Just a bunch of strange things go's on inside this park... And it ain't a place to go fishing, or site seeing unless you can wash-out your eye balls after you leave! Not a very moral place for little ones! Beware! It ain't what you think it is!

Nice park in a beautiful neighborhood. We came here two days after a snow storm, and the road was fully covered in snow. Would need to be careful in walking a bit, but the view of snow in the park was still beautiful. Recommend to family with kids.

A good park that I would say emphasizing on dogs. Lot of people bring their dogs here without leashes and itโ€™s a lot of fun. Very friendly atmosphere. Go here if you like seeing a lot of dogs.

This is a beautiful park in the heart of downtown Columbus. With all the trees this park would be beautiful in any season. The pond is unique in having an elephant fountain. With a nice picnic area and a shelter house that can be rented for private events this would be a great place for childrenโ€™s birthday parties or family reunions. Plus, itโ€™s close to anything you might want to do downtown.

A beautiful and peaceful place for the nature lovers. Fresh air opposite to the city. I like to bring my pets here on a walk

The park itself is beautiful! Good landscape with some hills and some more wooded areas, also some mulch-y type areas, and it's quite large considering the locale. This is the only Park where I've had some issues with the other dog owners, but that's not the parks fault. I think that's just by nature of it being one of the nicest parks around, it draws the most people. So far it's my favorite of all the dog parks to take my boy to!

A beautiful park to stroll around - a fountain, a pond, a gazebo, playground area, plenty of spring blossoms - perfect to enjoy with a sip of ice coffee on a sunny spring day! I used to remember this park being dirty, years ago. But I'm surprised to find that it wasn't the case. The pond was also quite clean. There are plenty of metered parking spots around, which are free on Sundays!

Very nice park to walk your dog or post up for a picnic. Lots of room to run around and play. There's a small park close to the middle for the little ones to enjoy as well as tennis courts for the adults. I hung up my hammock and kicked back with a book for a couple hours. Only issue was finding a set of trees that I could hang my hammock.

Not one of my favorite parks as I enjoy more natural, non-city atmosphere. But, definitely not a bad place to hang out with the kids. Paved parking lot, trash cans, and picnic tables available.

We went in fall on a good weather day and I must say it was has some spectacular trees.. Goodale park has quietsome history which was owned by the very first physician of Ohio from 1800s-ish by the name Lincoln Goodale.. Amazing park for family and frnds to hangout and chill.. Although at first I was scared because the dogs were unleashed but later realized they were playfully chasing the squirrels and having good time with them.. They were lot many cute squirrels around just made my dayโค
