This century-old renovated house is the clubhouse for the oldest extant German singing organization on the North American continent. 170 years! The ground floor and outside patios and porches are host to Valter's, a wonderful neighborhood pub and restaurant reminiscent of places similarly found in Central Europe. 20+ European and gourmet American beers on tap. Top drawer Spirits and Liquers. German and German-inspired appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches, schnitzels, surf and turf. House-made fries, Spätzle, soups, and desserts (cheesecakes and creme puffs). Custom-made sausages. Incredibly friendly staff and very proud personable owner/chef. AND Tuesday evenings, you can listen to the choruses rehearse live in the adjacent Niehaus room.

This private club and public restaurant oozes Gemütlichkeit and cozy friendliness. Valter's is an exceptionally good restaurant. They are justifiably busy like nuts on weekends for brunch and dinner. Come hear the 169-year-old German chorus rehearse there Tuesday evenings!

The original Maenorchor is in the process of being remodeled and converted into office space. Lehman Daman is doing the remodel. The plan is to preserve a lot of the historic features of the original building then add a modern addition that would compliment the original structure. Great news is Valter's is still open for business right next door!

Very old German club that offers excellent dining to the public. Breakfast is a little more than some places but worth every penny!

Best burgers and sandwiches we've had in a long time! I was blown away by the portabella burger and my partner loved the schnitzel sandwich. YUM! We came for Pokemon Go, but had to stop inside due to rain. Chill atmosphere and authentic decor. Will come again! (The beer is great too!)

Beautiful old restraunt. After tasting real German food while stationed in Germany. This fodd is definately on point. Staff was excellent.
