Went
here
for
the
first
time
as
part
of
my
newly
developing
hobby
of
day
hikes
on
Saturdays,
this
time
to
break
in
the
new
hiking
boots.
Started
with
the
combined
Wetland
Trails
Loops
(Teal
Trail,
Harrier
Loop,
&
Rail
Way)
that
total
3
miles
of
grass-based
paths.
Very
peaceful
and
has
a
wonderful
view
of
the
lake
that
is
on
that
section
of
property.
Then
crossed
over
to
the
Battelle
Darby
Creek
Metro
Park
Nature
Center
to
use
that
as
a
base
of
operations
to
do
an
out
and
back
hike
of
6
miles
total
on
the
Darby
Creek
Greenway
Trail,
a
gravel-based
path
that
winds
through
fields
and
along
Darby
Creek
Rd,
leading
to
the
old
Darby
Dan
training
barn
and
former
thoroughbred
racing
track.
It’s
all
exposed
hiking
(aka:
bring
the
sunscreen!)
Finalized
the
time
there
with
the
small
half
mile,
gravel
and
then
dirt-based
Riffle
Trail
out
from
the
Nature
Center
that
leads
down
to
spots
to
be
alongside
Darby
Creek.
Very
peaceful
as
well.
The
park
offers
plenty
of
other
trail
options
throughout
a
fairly
wide
area
that
I
wish
to
return
and
explore.
A
nice
location
for
hiking
overall
from
my
experience.
