Just 2.5 miles from the airport, this peaceful oasis of nature is a delightful, walk, jog, or bike ride that meanders through the area. Highly recommend for an escape from reality when staying near the airport.

Good for walking, biking and running. I wish it had some better management and also better civic sense by all we humans. The place has got some thrash and people just dump it there, old bike tires, motorcycles parts, plastic cans.. Some parts of the place makes you feel like in dense forest which is why the extra rating :)

Trail on the creek side is beautiful. There is construction going on towards the university. There are re-modelled bridges which has got a great view.

Sweet trail along the creek with stunning bridge and nature views. The are deer all over the place and they appear very friendly. The trail has some fun hills and curves that are great for cycling or boarding if you're skilled. The bridges are very cool looking and great for photography. The river here has a nice flow and tranquil sounds.

Hiked the south trail shortly after a heavy rain and it was awesome! Heavy flooded areas made for a difficult and fun hike. Wading through waste deep water at some points, and halfway up your calves at others. Muddy pathways made for a unique experience like a spartan race!

Amazing Trail. A must go in Columbus. You will be amazed to see how long it is. Wether you want to go for a short jogging or a long cycling, it has got you covered. You can also enjoy the view of the magnificent lake up north of columbus. Make sure you know which entrance you start in, it could become a little misleading if you just lookup Alum Creek Trail (of course because it’s wayy to big)

Nice trail for riding or walking. Have ridden nearly entire length of trail from north to south, passing through multiple parks and green spaces. Not many riders, some walkers but not that many. Trail follows Alum Creek for most part, lots of flowers & wildlife to be seen. Passes through lots of wooded areas, multiple bridge crossings over the creek. Only a few negatives to report. Not sure why but in a few areas of trail there is strong sewage smell. It’s that way every time I ride. Beware of trail crossing under bridges. One in particular can have standing water and some mud on trail. Mud can be very slippery, a rider could wipe out if they hit it going very fast. Boardwalk bridges can be insanely slippery when wet, use caution. I do recommend this trail for riding, it is a great place to bike, walk, etc.

Okay so to start it's in a decent location at the point where the maps takes you. You can walk several miles north to westerville and Easton where the beach area is or south. I walk south and walked a total of about 8 miles with my 2 pups. It starts off great as a trail should but then attaches to the side of the highway and I didnt like that. It is a GREAT trail for bikers and runners and this trail is connected to a couple more which I'm posting the picture of. My favorite stop is by the baseball field of Ohio Dominican. By the baseball field is a spot that marks a location that the underground railroad. 8/10

Great trail! I'm hoping to see the trails around Columbus better connected without having to go on road some day. Also, maybe some more drinking fountains at some of the parks the trail passes by, especially the ones with the bottle filler spout.

Used to live near here and walk it fairly often because it was close by. It’s a pretty little walk but I wouldn’t bother coming from afar. Personally never felt safe walking alone here as a woman. It’s not the cleanest trail and the stream it passes over has some kind of contamination that often makes it smell.

Best bike trail in Columbus- it starts in Westerville and goes South to Groveport. From there you can head East on the Blacklick creek trail- you can get some real mileage on this trail. It’s mostly wooded but does pass through some open meadows. There are several stops along the way to break. Many of the parks have portapotties you can use.

I love walking trails, but with all the construction going on because they are killing trees to add more trail it looks pretty junky and smells bad out there. But it's a good walk. I saw things I don't see at the trails in Akron

I love this trail! The views are beautiful, and it's not too overcrowded. I am a runner, not a bicyclist, so this is important to me!

Easy hike with little to no harsh elevation. Prepare for a muddy time in the non-summer months. Very nice views along the water.

I didn't see any public restrooms on the trail. Although the trail does lead to several parks along the way, there seems to be a serious lack of facilities. The trail really is awesome, though. It is a peaceful way to spend an afternoon while getting a great workout.

Great place to enjoy the nature in Columbus, Ohio, but there needs to be better waste management, as there is a lot of trash scattered across the property. With that being said, it serves its purpose as a large nature preserve: refreshing sights, smells, sound… it brings me a sense of longing when I come here knowing that soon we may not see places like this with the way the environment is deteriorating before our very eyes.

Great trail to walk. A little noisy being on the flight path of the airport but still a great path to take. I love walking the bridges.

Nice little secluded nature trail sort of in the heart of the city, be cautious of the occasional motorised vehicles traversing around corners the likes of golf carts etc...

More suited for biking than walking, especially with dogs. Heavy bugs/mosquitoes in the summertime. Still a nice trail though.

A beautifully maintained, paved trail through a mix of wooded areas and open areas hidden away in the middle of an urban. Everyone I passed waved, smiled, or said hello. A great place to walk, bike, ride your non-motorized scooter, skate board or whatever as long as it is not motorized.

This trail seems to be a bit overlooked through certain parts of the city but is lovely, mostly forested, and has some beautiful boardwalk areas. There are lots of access points along the route, including the Easton soccer fields and Innis Park.

Lots of debris on paths. Some bridges difficult on inline skates. Some busy roads to cross. Absolutely gorgeous scenery.

An asphalt path winds its way through dense forest, past architecturally pleasing bridges, and near some very picturesque brooks. If you explore far enough, you'll find some benches that overlook the Dominican University's baseball diamond. Dog friendly, and a very popular bike path. Free bike fixing stations are available at intervals for those unexpected repairs. Unfortunately, there is an issue with broken glass from bottles smashed against trees, especially near the parking areas. Keep an eye out so Rover doesn't end up with a piece of glass in his paw.
