This is my favorite park in Columbus! There’s always dogs, and they’re friendly and there’s always people, and they’re friendly too! There’s sometimes mud, and the muds friendly too too! I like the tennis balls, especially covered in mud. I like the water bowls, especially when they’re ice bowls. One time, a friendly dog stole a glove, and everyone chased us around the park-it was a lot of fun! Have you ever stole a glove? I highly recommend stealing toys, and hats, and water bottles, and gloves, and sticks, and balls, and sometimes water bowls! Go team Speedwalrus!!

I live this park! Such good people and regulars! Welcome all friendly dogs and puppies. Leon loves his daily park time.

Probably the best maintained and nicest dog park I've ever been to. People were friendly, water for dogs everywhere, messes were cleaned up and the gates were well maintained and plenty for dogs to do. My only complaint is the mass of poison ivy and the large dog section sitting area. Couple whacks with a hatchet to the base of those Vines it would be gone by spring. Little bit too close to the benches and my dogs come home with it all the time. Other than that amazing place!

My husband and I have a love/hate relationship with this park. That is the reason for my 3 star rating. We have a 7 month old Aussie and she is the sweetest baby girl in the world! She makes a point to greet every single dog in the park. However, that is what gets her into trouble sometimes. I will say we’ve had more good times than bad. We love the small dog side and most people are usually very outgoing, polite, and sweet. Sure, dogs will be dogs, yet the pattern I’ve noticed at Godown is the owners NEVER take ownership, acknowledge, or apologize to anyone when their dog becomes aggressive or attacks another. And worse, they remain at the park and don’t immediately remove their dog. This infuriates me to no end and it’s ALWAYS at this park. Especially factoring in that I apologize for my dogs every jump, bark, etc. Additionally, we have visited many parks and this just doesn’t happen. This park simply seems to be filled with arrogant owners that want to defend, defend, defend instead of being a responsible dog owner.

Fantastic park! The layout is great, it has hills, trees and walk ways. It's not just a flat muddy field. I asked around after not seeing a spigot for water and a few other patrons said there is no water so make sure to bring a jug for your pup and something for yourself to wet the whistle.

I take my dog to the Godown dog park several evenings a week. It is always clean and well maintained and there are always lots of other dogs to play with unlike some other dog parks. This is by far our favorite place to play and burn off energy for the day!

We go to this park every day, rain, snow, or shine. My pup gets great exercise with a lot of other amazing dogs, everyone who goes is friendly and easy-going, it’s one of the only dog parks with a lot of land, trees and hills, is beautiful during all seasons of the year, and well cared for (thanks parks dept!).

Be very careful going to this dog park. Owners make up their own rules and completely ignore the parks posted rules. Dogs are off leash in the parking lot and owners encourage their dogs to get exercise by chasing the small dogs along the fence line. The small dogs freak, bark and run into one one another while the off-leash owner watches and laughs. Owners bring food into the park and wonder why the dogs jump on them and fight with each other. Owners bring toys into the park so they can cause more fighting between dogs. At this park, owners DO NOT obey the posted rules. I've seen belligerent owners yelling at others and calling them "psycho" because they don't think they have to obey any rules. If you are a decent person who minds rules and the law, steer clear of Godown Dog Park.

It's a big park for the dogs but they need to put a bench or two up inside the park for those of us who can't walk up/down the immediate slope in the big dog area. I was there with my service dog and a friend who has his brother, but could not maneuver the hill and knew I would not be able to climb back up. I could see both dogs having a blast!

One of the best dog parks anywhere. Huge tree-covered, natural setting. Lots of space, places for people to sit, water for the dogs (and for cleaning them).

I liked that there were 2 sections...one for "small" dogs under 25 lbs. Our little dog loved running off leash and meeting new dogs and all the new smells!

I love love love taking my dog here. There is always water from the lovely dog owners who go here. Bring some extra in case for your pup. Everyone is sweet. The only issue is that there are some dogs that can get aggressive or don't have identification/collars on them and it can be difficult once they start to rough house. Lots of places to sit or play plus two parks for small and big dogs!

This dog park is definitely the best one in Columbus. It is completely fenced off and there is one for small dogs and one for big dogs (25 lbs+). The big dog area is HUGE. Lots of space for your dog to run around in. Just take your own bowl and water because the bowls sitting out are pretty nasty, looks like they’ve been sitting out for a year.

I love this park for our dog. The landscape is awesome for them to play in - lots of natural terrain with trees, small hills, and plenty of running space. There's a hose with sprayer in case your dog gets dirty, and the poop bag dispensers are always filled. Plenty of parking, too.

All of the dog parks have their charm in Columbus. This park is HUGE and great to get your own movement in with your dog! Plenty of hills, trees, trash cans and places to relax. It thoroughly tires my dog out every time. People make the park too. Everyone has been friendly, attentive, and respectful!

Everyone was very polite, and the dogs were very well behaved. The big dog area is very wide and hilly, perfect for my dog who LOVES to run. I need to take more than a couple of hours for her so I can really tire her out.

Spacious dog park with lots of hills and trees. There were a lot of other dogs here the evening we went. Bring a towel in case your dog find the mud! Definitely recommend.

There are two sections to separate small dogs from large. The large dog area is huge and has plenty of shade and benches. It is a well maintained park and definitely worth visiting!

This is a great dog park. There are two separate areas. One for small dogs and one for large. Both areas are well maintained. There's always bottles of water available for dogs, and the dogs and owners are well behaved.

Wowowowow, this dog park blew me away. The large dog area is HUGE with so much space for the dogs to play and run and congregate separately in a variety of spaces. It feels like you're at an actual park, and not just a small enclosed yard where all the dogs are forced to be in close quarters. It is clean and well-kept with plenty of trees and various logs and stumps and such for sitting and kind of breaking up the play space. The only negative: No water. The water fountain was intentionally shut off assumedly for the cold weather to come. There were a lot of empty water bowls throughout the park if you bring your own jug. All the people who seemed to be regulars were very friendly and were monitoring their dogs. There's a portapotty that is pretty clean as well. It actually smelled like air freshener and had hand sanitizer. If you're the type who wants to lean against the fence and watch the dog play, this is not the park for you because your dog is probably going to be running all over the place. You'll be putting in some steps.

Well kept and generally nice people who watch their dogs. Busier nicer days you'll run into people who aren't as good about it and those that bring kids but after visiting a ton of different parks that's not uncommon. Large dog side is huge and great for running.

We loved the small dog section of this park! It was spacious compared to other dog parks I've visited, and had plenty of shade and even its own small agility tunnels. I could see that the large dog area had plenty of running space, with hills and a nice walking loop. Definitely check this park out for doggie socialization!

This is a relatively big dog park that includes walking paths, grassy areas, hills, trees, benches.... Nice long bark-stripped logs & tree trunks to sit on...(Or dogs to play on). It's not just a bare, open, straight-run-type dog park. There are a lot of trees, so you can find plenty of shade on hot days. Fun for dogs in fall with all the leaves... There are plenty of places to sit - in shade, under trees, out in open... Can be hard to find parking on weekends. No water fountains. People bring in water for the dogs - everybody shares community bowls. There is a side for small dogs & a side for large dogs. The large dog side is bigger & has more areas to explore. Oh, & they do have doggie bags & trash cans.

Nice park. Just wish trash got dumped a little more. Usually bags of dog poop overflowing out of them.

Not one person was nice at this park and it was incredibly busy. No one was wearing masks. The only thing I liked about this park was how large it was and that there were hills and tunnels. I wouldn't recommend it for the company at all.

We love this dog park! It's niceness big and has plenty of area for dogs to explore. It can get a little muddy in some spots and as a good dog owner keep an eye on your dog because there are occasionally some aggressive dogs there.

What a wonderful park filled with wonderful & helpful people. Good vibes all day. Well maintained. Benches available. Secured area featuring small breed & large breed sections with a ratio of people with dogs and space that provided comfortable distance & solitude while also providing opportunities to socialize. Five stars!

Such a great location! Lots of trees for shade and different elevation for whatever your pup might like! Very friendly people come here and the dogs are all safe. I've never seen a bad incident happen here.

Nice dog park, divided for small and large dogs. People on large side need to pay more attention to their dogs and not bring dogs not suited or socialized. They also need to pay attention to where they poop and pick it up!

There were a lot of great things about the dog park. There are two sides to it one for bigger dogs and one for smaller dogs. There is a lot of room for the bigger dogs to run around my golden retriever loved that. It was pretty well maintained. The biggest issues I had were that some of the dog owners didn’t keep an eye on their dog and just beware there are also dog owners that don’t clean up their dogs waste. There are even waste bags that the dog park have for you to use! There are also water bowls available for the dogs. All in all a very good place to take your dogs!

Really awesome dog park. Separate areas for small and large dogs. Poop bags are usually in stock in case you forget to bring some and it’s always kept clean. Most importantly, the fences are free of any holes or crevices where dogs can get out. Makes the whole experience stress-free.

Godown is my preferred dog park for my two dogs. We love that areas are separated for small and large dogs & there’s still tons of space. We go multiple times a week and they enjoy themselves every time.

I think this is the most spacious and beautiful dog park we've seen in Columbus. Hilly areas, trees with squirrels and man-made tunnel structures for them to climb on. When we've gone in the mornings, everyone's been welcoming and responsible "puppy parents", keeping an eye on their pups to make sure they're playing nice with each other. Added bonus, there are jugs for water and bowls already there.

Beautiful park. Lots of hills and mature trees. But maybe a little too crowded for my taste. (I was told it was "empty" on the Sunday I went!) Dont really trust other dogs too much, and don't want my (big) dog to be attacked by other dogs. There were at least 3 pit bulls there, and I just dont fully trust them. Sorry, I do like the breed, but they ARE unpredictable. I will go back on a week day next time, instead of the weekend.
