Labor union

๐Ÿ˜  I would like to give less than one star but you can't. I have belonged to a couple other unions. I have never seen anything like what this union does. Example they appoint your union reps. Also call your rep for help you may get called back after they call the employer and not the union member... People often mention union,

I would like to give less than one star but you can't. I have belonged to a couple other unions. I have never seen anything like what this union does. Example they appoint your union reps. Also call your rep for help you may get called back after they call the employer and not the union member. This union is on the side of labor not the worker. You can call national labor relations board to get paperwork to get them out.

Understand for Kroger, this union will not fight management. The contract does not touch management. Therefore Kroger managers are abusive and they know they can get away with it. The reps will not even pay attention or return your messages if it has to do with Kroger management. Worst experience in my working career was with Kroger and this union.

They don't fight for your. knowing a ex president to a union who let me know what I should do the case worker for me helped 0 instead of fighting for me he made it easier for me to lose and denied every request I had I filed for 5 grievance and he only filed one without asking for my permission which is why I blame the lose of my job on this awful pitiful organization

One of the rudest organizations I have ever had the disdain to converse with. One individual named Tina Morgan is the most belligerent, rude, crass, tactless, distasteful person I have talked to on the phone in decades. They trespass when given clear instructions to not do so on PRIVATE property. If this is they way that they treat an individual that politely requests them to leave the property, but has nothing but rude insults right off the bat, then I can not imagine what type of organization this is. If I were her boss, I would fire her in a heartbeat. If it were possible to give this organization a negative, I would, based on this individual alone. The next time that they are on this property, I WILL call the police. AND, NOW, we have to go behind them to pick up all of their garbage that nobody wants! I am sure that there are some individuals there that can hold an intelligent and amicable conversation there, however this was not my experience. Unbelievable! EDIT: 8/3/16 After talking with Randy Quickel, the President, he has assured me that he would address the issues that I experienced with Tina Morgan, although he apologized for her behavior, an apology from her would be even more meaningful.

It's a shame 1059 has turned their backs on its brothers and sisters. Trying to force a contract that has already been voted down. Shame on you for selling out and siding with the company.

Most unethical organization ever created. There is no reason why when you get promoted because you deserve it should it be taken away and given to someone with more seniority. They do not represent good workers only bad ones.

Julie Cline was the second line of defense here and should be fired over the way she treats her โ€œloyal customersโ€. They just want your money, if you are looking to join up, donโ€™t.

This is an absolutely useless union. When I was a member of the Columbus branch the branch in Milwaukee refused to help me and would not provide job leads. I wish that I had never joined this worthless organization. I had to pay full union dues yet as a part time employee I was NOT ENTITLED to receive union benefits. Because of this I decided that I would never join another stinking union.

These people are class traitors and are friends with the management. They do not have the worker's interests in mind. Don't trust them...

Don't know if things have changed in the last few years, but my experience with this local chapter has been that they represent the businesses as versus their members. They were no help in resolving disputes with my employer even after successful arbitration. When they first engaged me with my dispute, it was clear they were coming to the table with information supplied by the business and had a bias for the duration of our communications.

This union does not care about its members and does not fight for their best interest. They also should not be there at the voting stations trying to FORCE employees to vote yes for a contract they do not agree with. This union has gotten worse and worse over the years. All they do is collect money. Iโ€™m glad I am no longer with them.

I'm a member of UFCW. This is our local office. We were voting on the contract offer from our employer. We will be returning this week to vote again.

I understand that Ohio is not a right to work state. However, as a minor working for the Kroger company I was unable to receive 95% of benefits that the union provided. I was 14-17 years old giving an hour worth of my pay every week to the very people that were making my job more difficult. The union is pushing for things that the employees don't want, in turn creating more issues. The actions that the union took were unjust. I should have paid nothing to the people that made my job very difficult; or at least, significantly less than the legal adults.
