We went to both Meshikou ramen and chicken. Both were incredible. We had spicy k pop wings which were well cooked and the taste of the sauce was perfectly spicy and flavorful. We also bought two bowls of ramen which both were very tasty along with some kaarage. Everything was so well made, it was obvious that they care deeply about the food that they make. I'll definitely be getting more food from there as soon as possible.

Great Ramen. I think this place tops Fukuryu by a little bit. The pork belly was super tender and the fat was all rendered out and soft. Flavor was good. Make sure you mix up your ramen so you get all the flavor. The atmosphere of this place was really cool too. A little dark but it was good. Very safe COVID wise. They had barriers and cleaned the tables between patrons. This will probably be my new go to ramen spot. The gyoza was good. A little expensive though. More than a dollar per dumpling. The sauce for dipping was very tasty. Overall good experience here. I would like to try some of their other ramen. I just wish they had a pork based broth. I think they were all chicken broth base.

It is a really lovely place and the food is delightful, the service is super friendly, polite and very fast. The ramen stock was simply divine and the appetizers were the JUICIEST, very flavorful.

Service was quick, polite, and very helpful! Absolutely loved my first experience & cant wait to go back and try other dishes in the future. Only took 15 mins at lunch on a Tuesday for 3 appetizers. The K.F.C was so juicy & flavorful. The pork buns were good but could have used some spice or another sauce. The buns were incredibly soft!!

Late review but unforgettable experience! As the name suggests, this restaurant is known for its ramen but you definitely can’t ignore the appetizers. We enjoyed the Meshikou karaage and the salt and peer chicken wings. The karaage was definitely my favorite of the two and I was pleasantly surprised by how much chicken they give you with the karaage. It is paired with a delightful dipping sauce. As for the ramen, I enjoyed the Shoyu Paitan Ramen with pork belly. I feel this is the classic ramen you have to try whenever trying out a new ramen shop. I am pleased to report the broth was flavorful and the pork belly was tender, as desired. The Happy Dad seltzer was a nice light drink for an evening meal. Overall, this restaurant is great if you have a ramen crave and is amongst many great Asian spots on Bethel.

Small place with vet friendly servers. The food was very good but I wish there was flexibility when ordering. I wish I can add anything I want on my noodle such as Shrimp or have the egg to be Hard boiled, but those options are not available 😔😕, they also charge to add an egg which I think should already come with the noodles.

We lucky we got one table for us on a Sunday. The place was packed full of people. Small but Nice, clean and easy to located Ramen place, parking is plenty in a public parking lot. We ordered Shoyu Ramen (3 bowls), Spicy Ramen (2 bowls) along with 3 appetizers (karaage chicken, taco balls, and calamari). All were tasty and delicious. Our waitress is pretty, friendly, and made nice recommendations. Service is super fast and we thankful because we were very hungry. Definitely earned a 5 Stars from us. Thanks my wife for drove us to this restaurant. Thank you and be back very soon again.

Food, service and the vibes of this place was off the roof. We were disappointed that the chicken place next door was closed but was able to get similar items and the food did not disappoint. Service was on top of refilling drinks and getting what we needed. Price wise, it's just okay. Nothing too crazy.

At Meshikou Ramen, the quality of the food is truly extraordinary. The appetizers, which included pot stickers and fried chicken, were nothing short of amazing. Each bite was filled with a burst of flavors that left me craving for more. The pot stickers had a perfect balance of filling and wrapper, while the fried chicken was crispy on the outside, yet tender and juicy on the inside. Moving on to the main course - the ramen. It was meticulously prepared and served at the perfect temperature. The broth was rich, savory, and full of depth, while the noodles had just the right amount of chewiness. Every ingredient in the bowl worked together harmoniously to create a delightful culinary experience. As for the service, it was commendable. The staff was attentive, friendly, and prompt, ensuring that all my needs were met in a timely manner. They were knowledgeable about the menu and were more than willing to make recommendations based on my preferences. In summary, Meshikou Ramen offers a superb dining experience with its remarkable food and excellent service. It is a place that certainly deserves a visit for anyone looking for a satisfying and authentic ramen experience.

Really good ramen...they were super busy and not a lot of sitting room inside. However, they got us seated pretty quickly. We went next door to Meshiko Chiken for an appetizer, and that worked out perfectly. Their calamari was crisp and good flavors. Could use a dipping sauce with it.

Went here as our original place for lunch was closed. Thank the universe that place was lol bc this place was amazing and we may have never found it. Our one friend had dietary restrictions and our server went above and beyond checking with the cook and management on staff. She legit asked 15 questions for us to make sure all was good and then even went as far to find out every ingredient in the wing sauce. That is truly a wonderful server!! I honestly wish we found out her name to give her the Praise she deserves. My cup was never empty for more then 2 minutes. All of the wait staff was awesome!! I highly recommend this place!!

An absolute favorite ramen restaurant. The broth is home made with prefect season. The noodles are boiled in house to a perfect firmness. The aroma will have you in a trance. The pork belly was tender and flavorful. I highly recommend this ramen shop.

The place is bustling. We came at around noon and had to wait. It was not bad and we were sitted in 10-15 minutes. The waiter was helpful and the food came quickly. I especially like the chicken rice bowl, where the chicken was fried to perfection and the rice delicious.

One of our very favorite spots. Food is always amazing, as is the service. The BBQ chashu bun appetizer and salt pepper calamari are both excellent. Can't miss on any of the ramen options.

Ramen and flavor were good😋. No complaints just didn't get that wow factor for some reason so no 5 stars for me. Definitely will go again. I personally prefer Slurping Turtle ramen in easton but this place has a nice feel too it. None of the staff speak Japanese so I couldn't practice my にほんご😭。

We had each of the three types of wings. Mango Habanero (right) was the right amount of spice. Wasn't too hot but it had a great kick and had the best flavor. The KFC wings (middle) were what I would consider a common soy sauce based Asian protein. Was very good and the sauce wasn't over powering. The salt and pepper wing was great, but nothing special. Overall what did it for me was the crispness of the wings. They were fried to perfection!

I always love my experience here. Ordered the Shoyu Chintan Ramen, the pork belly was perfect, loved the wavy noodle and soft boiled egg. Everything in the bowl was super! But I think I prefer the black garlic broth to the shoyu broth. Their chicken karaage is excellent too. It was not our first time, but their service has always been fast and friendly. The last time I came here with my younger daughter and forgot to ask them to separate the spicy sauce that goes on the karaage. Our waiter (I believe it was Andrew) decided to send us a new set of chicken, quickly too. I only wish they had more seating, because it gets quite crowded there.

KFC chicken is very good, perfect crunchiness, a little bit too sweet for me. Ramen is good quality but just not impressed. Would like to try a different ramen next time. Recommend to check it out because you won’t be disappointed at least!

Had lunch here. I got the Meshikou Karaage and Shoyu Chintan ramen. The sauce that comes with the Karaage was really good. The chicken was okay, but I feel like the chicken chunks were too thick. The ramen broth was good but I wish they charred the pork belly more.

I tried their Meshikou black ramen with pork belly and karaage on the side. The broth is pretty tasty; they use chicken paitan broth instead of pork broth for all of their ramen. I usually prefer pork broth but this is actually good too and the black garlic adds complexity to the broth. The wavy noodle is thinner than I expected but it's still good. The karaage is my favorite - it's super good! The chicken is juicy and very tasty and the outside is crunchy! It's really worth the price!

If you want a quick ramen fix this is the place to be in Columbus! Service is quick and staff are pleasant. The noodles are cooked perfectly, salt level of the broth is just enough for your palate to enjoy . This is a cozy place, so expect a limited seating capacity and you may have to wait for a booth during peak hrs. Their Bao buns and karaage chicken is a must try!

First time here and we tried the firecracker shrimp which is also known as bang bang shrimp and they were great. The gyoza was really good as well. We had various bowls of ramen and they all tasted really good. Generally they came with chicken, pork tenderloin or pork belly. The only reason i give it a 4 is because normally pork cheek is served with this and it's very different and fantastic. Ive had some really good ramen and although not the best it was pretty darn good. Service was fantastic, the server swiped and refilled our drinks sometimes without us even noticing they were missing! The atmosphere was the most off putting. They are treating it like COVID is still a huge thing. Plastic separators everywhere and everyone wearing masks. If you're a COVID head, this is a safe place for you. Thanks guys, we will be back. Hopefully you guys normalize by then.

Had takoyaki and fireball ramen. Takoyaki were well seasoned. A bit on small end, not enough octopus, and under cooked. Ramen the soul, the broth, was meh. Water. Not flavorful. But piping hot. Wood mushrooms added a necessary crunch. pork belly okay mild char pretty fatty. Definitely have to mix spicy dollop to get full effect. Ramen egg was super tasty! Creamy and aromatic. Noodles were cooked well. Overall 7/10 experience. Vibe good for dates, imagine if packed would be tough to hear conversation. Wood paneling and music ambiance mostly screemo.

Cool Tokyo style ramen spot. Was pretty good! Great and fast service, helpful too. We ordered the Spicy Mala Ramen and the Shoyu Paitan. I usually go for spicy house ramens, but I preferred the original Shoyu Paitan. The broth had a very silky smooth creaminess to each bite that had a great punch of flavor. The Spicy Mala didn't deliver that same punch. It had good flavor of spice but fell flat on the overall flavor. Our group doesn't eat pork so we substituted the pork chashu with tofu and chicken karaage, was very good chicken. Tofu was very abundant which I appreciated. Will return to get that Shoyu for myself!

I’ve been here twice and it’s been reliably good. Each time I’ve gotten the veggie ramen which has lots of vegetables and the braised tofu is amazing. I prefer the miso broth because the mala broth is a bit spicy. I’ve always ordered to go and they are super on time- I’ve never had to wait because the ordering system is super accurate in managing expectations. They package items super tightly which I love because I always end up tipping my bag over when I’m driving home!

By far the best Ramen place in central Ohio! It also has the distinction of being my favorite restaurant all together! Their Meshikou black signature dish is a perfect introductory dish if you are introducing people for the first time. The apartment of flavors and smooth broth are welcoming to all! If you are hoping for something a little lighter and less creamy, I highly recommend the Shoyu Chintan Ramen to introduce yourself! I have yet to have someone try the takoyaki and not love it. I brought a friend who grew up in rural West Virginia and had no experience with Japanese food outside of sushi, and after he tried a takoyaki he said “oh my, those are dangerous” and proceeded to scarf down the rest of the bowl! I highly recommend the Chashu Bun appetizer as well! Pictured are Takoyaki, Meshikou Black Ramen, and Shoyu Chintan Ramen with an order of extra noodles.

Best Japanese Ramen in Columbus, Ohio. My friends and I come here once to twice a week here and the food quality and service never disappoints. The environment is great, friendliness, cleanliness and professionalism. I highly recommend anyone to come here to try what real Japanese ramen is like.

Me and my friends wanted to try some ramen during a night out and we decided to choose this place, It was a small resturant with little amount of space. I've never had ramen before and we went on winter break during the week days at night where it was a little busy. The ramen I had was Meshikou black and the broth was flavourful, delicate and tasteful. The service checked up on us ocassionally. Overall a great place to eat at.

Ramen is amazing and I try to go here whenever I'm in Columbus. Portions are good and there's plenty of ramen options. Only downside might be there's not much seating, but that's about it. Very good place.

Fell in love with this place over a year ago. My absolute favorite spot for Ramen in CBUS. You can't go wrong with anything here but my favorite appetizer is the wings! Absolutely phenomenal.

Overall, #1 chicken broth Ramen in town. First of all, I really want to appreciate their delicacy. Water w/ cucumber slice. Somewhat special for this place.(If you don't want it, just ask not to). We started with KFC chicken wings (6pc). Pretty much big pieces and sweet and little spicy Korean style red sauce on top of cryspy fried chicken. The inside flesh was so moist and juicy. This was perfect. Then, we had Meshikou black Ramen and spicy mara Ramen. I personally love thick and cloudy soup. I didn't expect checken based broth can also make this much savory taste. All vegies, eggs and chasu(pork belly) were well mingled with the soup. Good job! I couldn't stop drinking the whole soup. Mara Ramen was also a good choice. Though quite spicy as expected, again their broth soup firmly supports taste of Sichuan spicy oil. Definitely, I will visit this place again. Especially, cold wind blows would remind their soup Ramen.

I love love love this place! The karage chicken is so crispy and delicious. Would highly recommend the roasted sesame mazemen! I’m not a huge soup fan in general, but my boyfriend is, so I’m able to enjoy ramen too, just in a different way! And if you’re looking for a fun drink, the peach jelly sake is the way to go!

I absolutely adore this place. Delicious food for a price you can not beat! For an apitizer, two entries and tips you're spending less than 50$! It's one of my favorite places to eat in the area.

They have some amazing ramen! Great service and friendly staff. I got some fried chicken and ramen which both tasted great. The food came out really quick too. Prices are reasonable and portions are pretty decent. A must try if your considering getting ramen!

I love the Spicy Mala Ramen and calamari above all else! I try ramen in every city I travel including around Columbus and Meshikou is the absolute best, consistently! Next door at Meshikou Chikin they now have Ube ice cream which is delish also!

  • 5/5 Noah P. 8 months ago on Google
This place has great food! For 7$ you can get a kaarage rice bowl and the chicken is sooooo good! I also had the mazeman ramen which is brothless and a bit lighter and it was great, basically a ramen salad. Gives Slurping Turtle a run for its money.

  • 5/5 C A. 1 year ago on Google
Some of the best ramen I’ve ever had- I loved the spicy miso ramen. The fried chicken is heavenly, too. I’ve been here twice and everything is always top notch- the food, the presentation, the service, and the atmosphere. It does get pretty busy, so expect a bit of a wait. Officially one of my go-to spots.

Could be a heavier dose of MSG, throat felt very thirsty afterwards, even though food (especially the Raman noodle) tasted good. This place wasn't as jam packed as it used to be given the all-you-can-eat restaurant opened a few doors away.

Food and service are both consistently very good. I go here for lunch frequently. The Fireball Paitan and the Mala ramen is some of the best I’ve ever had. The Meshikou Black is also worth a mention if you want something with less spice!
