Modernly chic restaurant with a petite superb menu of steaks, seafood, and chicken. Delicious appetizers. I had the deviled eggs that are topped with a strip or strips of bacon. I also had their Cesar salad. For my entree I had the rotisserie chicken with mash potatoes and a few glasses of Riesling wine. Nice and comfortable seating. Nice crowd that suits its ambiance. Free parking walking distance from the restaurant. Nice and friendly service. Thank you, Iqra. Decent prices.

Food was good 😊 as you can see from the picture, service great and the atmosphere very cozy. The pomegranate mocktail is always a hit for me.

Just okay. We celebrated our 19 wedding anniversary there and most places acknowledge events but they did nothing. For the price, nothing special. You can do to Texas Roadhouse and get same taste steak. Prime rib was good and huge but salty. I would definitely go someplace else for special occasions.

Get here before last call for food at 9pm. Cause if you Got a taste for pork! Go here. Then have the bar tender hook you up with a liquid asset to top it off. I just had a #Manhattan and something else delicious. The service was fantastic abs the wait wasn't to bad considering the new seating arrangements. Reasonably priced for dinner for one or two.

I’ve been to J Alexander’s in Toledo probably 25 plus times and loved it each time. I’ve never had a bad mea at the other location in Columbus either but this time the meal itself was not good at all. They undercooked literally everything, the steak was not medium but over cooked on the outside and still raw in the middle, the onion pieces were massive chunks and not fully cooked - there was no carmalization, just chunks of raw onion, as were the peppers and there was little ice. The other location boxed our leftovers, this one did not, we received our check shortly after our food arrived - what’s the rush? The chicken soup is usually thick and savory but this time it was runny with no noodles. All in all I was not satisfied with the experience. We weren’t as satisfied as we usually are and the money would have gone farther at BJs across the street

Not worth the hype. Went here for lunch on 12/31/23 and wanted to try a decent selection based on TJ's (our server) recommendation. He was upfront and told us what he liked based upon what he had on the menu, seemed very knowledgeable, and went out of his way to verify any answers that he didn't know. The dishes seemed basic for the aesthetic, but they were filling and decently seasoned. I would've rated the service 5 stars, and the restaurant 3 however, it was weird to remind me of the price of everything after I ordered it.

Nice staff, good atmosphere, great food, you have to ask for bread, but it is complementary. The chocolate cake with ice cream is really good.

Love this place for their consistency. I live in Cincinnati but I am in Columbus for a Realtor conference. Enjoyed dinner at the Easton location and it felt like home! Great food and service!!

Food and service are both consistently good. My husband and I usually take my ten and eight year old and they love the food. Could be a little more kid friendly but I love this place for a nice meal with my family!

My boyfriend and I went to J. Alexander’s last night, 11/11. The food was very good. Steak was cooked perfectly. Gabe was a fantastic server… the best I’ve had in a while! Great personality, attentive but not overly so, and extremely polite. He deserves a raise!

Went out for a birthday, 7:00pm. Got two different servers from that, I guess that’s when the split shifts? First server was good, second was significantly worse. They were open until 11 and at 9:45 had a server/hostess rolling silverware a table away from us. Still tipped 25% on the bill but didn’t feel like it was deserved. 12/28/23. Would not recommend for significant events. Would rate lower if it wasn’t for the first server. Not worth the money for the service. If you want better service go to Cooper hawk less than 0.1 mile away.

Place was nice, but what's the point if your food is not right. I ordered a medium well done steak and you would think a murder was committed on my plate. I politely requested for it to me cooked a little longer it came back dry and tough. My fork couldn't cut it. I figured the cook was mad because I asked for it to be cooked a little longer. I didn't eat it or pay for it. I wonder what Mitchell would have said or done.

J Alexander's in Easton is on point. The vibe is nice and the hosts gave us a warm greeting. The food was amazing! Our food was rich, full of flavors and their menu was well thought out. The food pairings compliment each other so there's no need to sub out sides. If you want to have a meal that is filling, satisfying and something better than the norm then this restaurant is for you. Foodies/Fat Girl/Boy approved! Do yourself a favor and ask to sit in Edison's section. He was our server and he was attentive, had a sharp memory and went above and beyond to fulfill requests. Our overall experience was excellent. We can't wait to try this restaurant in other states.

I had the strip steak w/mac & cheese, husband had the pork tenderloin with mash.. outstanding! The boom boom sauce on the pork was at a level 2 spicy and it was delish. We had the crab salad sushi to start and it was fantastic.. the steak was cooked medium perfectly!! We will be back!

This is a very good J Alexander's location. The food was outstanding, the manger sharp and approachable, the service exceptional. Our server, Chloe, was a bonus. Her knowledge, professionalism, and demeanor was a cut above. She had extreme foresight and an old school charm which included being very respectful to her customers. I can only hope we reciprocated that respect. It was well deserved. She was perfect. Thank you!

We had the best waiter ever! Elliot checked on us often. I asked for a plate to share some of my salad. He said I’ll have it split for you and took it to the kitchen. My prime rib was excellent! My friend’s chicken was great also. We had key lime pie for dessert which they also split for us. Pleasant evening!

Server Calvin was excellent and on point with the refills. Wife got the prime rib which was done perfectly. I got a daily special, crab cakes. Plenty of crab meat, light breading, perfect. The whole experience was most excellent.

Celebrating a birthday @ J. Alexander’s is a must! Our dinners were delicious, drinks were fabulous and they surprised us with mouth watering Carrot Cake (I don’t like carrot cake & it was to die for).

I never have high hopes when I ask for a steak to be cooked blue. If the server has no idea what blue is, I will change my order to something else. I ordered the filet through UberEats and, was mildly encouraged when I saw the menu effectively says ordering any unmarinated steak medium well is effectively a crime at their restaurant...I saw rare was an option so I just put in the order comments "if you can do blue, I would be grateful..." I just cut into and enjoyed the most amazing perfectly cooked and seasoned steak i have eaten since a trip to Cedar Rapids about 15 years ago. And it is blue. I even called the restaurant to thank them because I was so happy. The quality is exceptional here. Would absolutely eat here again over M&S or S&W without question. Impeccable and unimpeachable quality beef.

Great food and great service. However, there were wasps at our table. I killed one and they caught the other. The manager didn’t even come over to say anything or apologize. We literally watched her tell everyone about it and she didn’t even say anything to us and we were about 10 steps away from her. My wife and I will absolutely go back but the management needs addressed.

Had a strip steak and fries. Recommend getting the baked potato instead. My steak didn’t have the butter on it. Well cooked and still tasty. My salad was also good., cost extra. You only get one side. Kind of sad. The lemon drop drink was excellent.

The food and drink was delicious! The spicy tuna roll was the best sushi I have had in a long time! I got the ahi tuna steak and my husband got the filet mignon. Everything was cooked as we requested! Our server Elijah was really nice and we didn't have a long wait for anything. We did make reservations so I recommend doing that!

Wifie and I went here for our anniversary... It is a nice place but honestly I think there are other restaurants in this space I prefer. Wifie and I both had the salads which were very good. I had the prime rib with smashed potatoes which was just ok - it was a big cut but it was dry. Wifie had a salmon dish with orzo and wild rice which she liked. They gave us their chocolate cake for our anniversary which was good.

Food was great. Service was subpar. Waitress bright our main entree before our appetizer.. she said she forgot we ordered it so didn't rang it up. Then it took forever to get water but she took care of the take next to us pretty well. Last time service was great so surprised this time around.

A wonderful experience! Everything that you expect when dining out. Great food and excellent service. My family, party of 20, visited on Sunday, July 3rd, and we were seated together immediately even though we did not have a reservation. This was after an appalling experience of rude staff behavior across the parking lot at another restaurant. Alex's salad was delicious and I wish I had ordered more of that tender chicken! Everyone fully enjoyed their meals. Thank you for your professionalism. It was the perfect ending to cap off a family wedding weekend.

This was a great experience. Surprisingly good food and service. We stopped by for dinner on a Tuesday night and the place was busy! And with good reason: the chicken and pork dishes we ordered had great flavor profiles and generous portions. Sushi for appetizers were also very good. Our server was very attentive and prompt. The only let down were the cocktails. Seemed weak and overall not as great as expected based on the description. Food and drink also are priced well, offering good value. Overall, liked it a lot and we will definitely be back.

There was a marvelous atmosphere right when you walked through the doors that the outside appearance betrayed. The service seemed confused however, with some on par with the best restaurants I have been to while others were clearly there to get done with the day. And it showed. Yet the food was such a surprise. I personally would not consider the prices worth the meal, but it was a step up from a certain chain roadhouse. At the middle through the end, we were rather disappointed that our service quality dropped off exponentially and only saw him every now and again and we had to wait for a substantial amount of time to get our check, then again took so long for him to come and grab it that we had to ask the main desk if we pay the tab to her. She had to go and grab him and even then it took him a while to bring it to us. Mind you that it was a slower night with the crowd dying down. He even had the dessert brought out by someone else.

The service was the best part about this place. Our server was very attentive. The food was okay. I ordered the steak roll and it was a bit salty. The drink was pretty good though. This was my first time eating here, can't say I was impressed enough to visit again.

Our hotel recommended this place.. it was very busy. Waiting list for 1 hour. So it’s better if you make a reservation in advance. You can also sit and eat on the bar (no reservation needed just wait until you see a free spot and sit) Food and wine was as expected. Atmosphere was really nice and everyone of the service team were very friendly.

Thursday $12 sushi roll is a great deal. Service at bar was great, covid protocols in place. French dip and mashed potatoes awesome compared to Hudson 29. Wife liked the veggie burger and if shoestring fries are your thing they are very good. Great value overall for $

Checked them out for the first time last night. A stellar experience from start to finish. My medium strip steak was cooked perfectly, the crab bisque was delectable, and the carrot cake was the best I've ever had. Very impressed with the food, service, and ambiance!
