Went to North Market after a rain afternoon cancelled our Clippers game. I was struggling to decide which place to try but I kept walking past this Polish Kitchen and seeing the giant pierogi's, stuffed cabbage, and kielbasa, I could say no. I tried the kielbasa with a pierogi and red stew. Also ordered the stuffed cabbage rolls with pierogi and spicy stew. Everything tasted just like my Nana made them. So delicious and tasted like so many family dinners growing up. Looking forward to coming back.

The people here are very really really really really really friendly. They will explain the food. They'll even explain the culture to you and help you decide what the order. Everything is full of flavor and they're happy people. They're happy to serve you. They're happy to be here, which I've always said happy people make good food.

Even though it was a very busy Sunday, Hubert took the time to explain what was gluten-free. I selected the cabbage roll, it was easily the biggest one I’ve ever seen! Herbert encouraged me to add a potato pancake. He said they go fast! I also get mashed potatoes. I found the cabbage to be cooked perfect, the inside to be just .. ok. The potato pancake was great on the crispy outside but just so so all around. The mashed potatoes were the star of the show! I don’t know what he puts in them, maybe some kind of cream? The whole meal was enough for two people so keep that in mind.

This was such an awesome meal. We had Hubert's for dinner today, and: Being raised by Polish parents and grandparents (on both sides of the family), I have eaten more than my fair share of homemade Polish food. I have to say the taste of the cabbage rolls, pierogis, and kielbasa was absolutely spot-on perfect. The size of the pierogis was a little bit bigger than what my family has made in the past, but the potato and cheese filling definitely had the perfect blend and proportion of spices. The cabbage rolls are HUGE - just one will fill you up by itself, and they were also delicious. I am used to having a tomato-based red sauce over the top of cabbage rolls. However, while these cabbage rolls did not have any sauce on them, Hubert's offered a (free) container of stew that had a red sauce that we used to smother the cabbage rolls in. The kielbasa may not have been smoked the way I was used to growing up, but it did taste excellent, nonetheless. So, take this from an actual Polish person: I would absolutely recommend Hubert's for authentic Polish food that is absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced. Seriously, the amount of food was enormous. Oh, and the person who served us was super-friendly and nice. This is very obviously an authentic family-owned and family-run restaurant. Huge thumbs up!!

Amazing. Hubert was so nice in explaining about his handmade dishes and recipes. He made some great recommendations and let us try some samples. Hubert said he wakes up at 5am to start cooking everything. Everything was delicious and well worth our trip to Columbus from New York. His mom also makes painted artwork which is sold at the booth nearby. Swing past to see some beautiful artwork and grab a pierogi. You won't regret it.

Had about seven different items, all great. Highlights were the perogies, cabbage roll, and tomato salad.

This place is great! The owner is delightful and his food is true down home Polish comfort food. He also helped with descriptions and gluten free items. A good price for some yummy traditional Polish fare.

I'm Polish, born and raised, that's why I know what real Polish food should taste like. Pierogi are made of potatoes and cream cheese (!). Farmers cheese should be used instead, nobody in Poland would make pierogi with cream cheese. They just don't taste right. Also the dough is very tough, absolutely not what it should be. Cabbage roll was okay, so was the potato pancake. Nothing special, I've eaten much better Polish food in the US. Also, it's overpriced. I don't think I'll go back there.

Staff was really friendly and helpful when choosing items. Prices were very reasonable. I ordered the pierogis and mielones (chicken balls) and it came with a side dish. I didn’t care for the side dish but the rest of the food was very palatable. Favorite was the chicken ball.

My first time having a pierogi with a warm tomorrow stew was amazing. Their pierogi has a large portion of cheese inside wrapped with tasty dough. I will definitely buy some raw pierogis cooking at home.

Hubert's was everything. Absolutely everything I want in my food experience. Maybe it's my Eastern European roots, 🤷‍♂️. We had the Cabbage roll and pierogi combo, the Mielones and pierogi combo and a potato pancake. Both combos topped w their spicy red stew. It would take me too long to type my feelings...just go eat their immediately. You're welcome. It was so damn good.

Worth everything to eat here ! Hubert’s is my favorite spot, hands down. I’ve made my husband drive an hour to pick me up pierogis before. Sophia is so kind and we love seeing her, service is 10/10. Out of all North Market this is the best. Go and enjoy. You must try Hubert’s. Our favorites are the Pierogis, Hungarian Stew & Cabbage rolls, everything is excellent.

Walking around the market, I kept coming back here. The food looked so good and it did not disappoint! Hearty portions, authentic food, and a friendly family running the place. I will be back! I had the cabbage roll, pierogi, and a potato cake with the spicy soup. It smelled so good I didn’t get to snap a picture before devouring it but remembered to snap a pic from where I was eating from afterwards. Easy walk from the convention center too! Would certainly recommend!

Oh wow the fresh polish sausage one of the best I ever had. Amazing perogies and sauerkraut. And that cabbage roll to die for!!! I love living in Colorado but we don't have amazing food like Hurbert's out there!

The cabbage rolls are massive! A little more cabbage than what I've had before. The pierogi were amazing, tender and had delicious filling. Can't wait to get more!

Pierogies are fantastic, cabbage rolls are great. Would be the only reason we stop at the North Market again. But will definitely stop for more.

As someone who grew up with a Polish grandma, I'd advise Hubert to use 1/4-1/2 cup mashed potato per two cups of flour in the pierogi dough to prevent it from being so tough.

First time in Columbus and the North Market. Had to try Hubert’s. The display looked so good. Ordered a Gołąbki and it was delicious. The tomato sauce is full of flavor. Highly recommend.

One of my favorite spots to eat in a Columbus. A bit pricey but everything is sold a la carte.

One of my favorite places in North Market. I wanted 2 years to go back and have the chicken cutlet sandwich. Friendly staff and absolutely delicious food, perogies are a must!

The guy who I assume is the owner was incredibly helpful and friendly. The pierogies were delicious, the stuffed cabbage rolls were good - but the real star of the show was the potato pancake. So good!

Ordered pierogi, cabbage rolls, and kielbasa for a friend recoveringfrom a hospital stay. I think I got yesterday's cooked food. Pieroga was hard and chewy, Cabbage rolls were dry with hard center ball of meat, Kielbasa casing was like plastic. Threw it all away. Wasted $40. Never recommend this place to anyone.

We got two potato, cheese, and onion pierogi and they were exceptional!! Reminded me of my grandma’s. Lady was cheerful and helpful! Next time we’ll get there early enough for potato pancakes.

Hubert's Polish Kitchen is THE reason we visit North Market and often the reason for us to visit Columbus, Ohio, in general. If traveling with companions we really love bringing them to this location to try their unique to our region food. Our go to order is the Mielone with the spicy stew covering it, but we've also indulged in the cabbage rolls, pierogis, kielbasa and kraut. You really can't go wrong with anything you order here.
