September 16, 2022 After being at the James Hospital downtown for over 4 hours of testing, my family stopped in to get a bite to eat. The staff was courteous however the building felt dirty. The ceiling air vents were nasty, the ceiling was peeling and in some areas look like it was about to fall in. Had my dad with dimentia not wanted to eat there we would have walked out and went else where before heading back to Athens, Ohio. Won't be going back until the building is remodeled and in clean condition. I've been coming to this location when in town for over 30 years and nothing on the interior has ever been updated or redone. 👎

The Tee Jayes on Parsons is the only one we'll go to now. The food is excellent and the wait staff is amazing. Too bad the other stores just couldn't get it together this morning.

I've been coming here since I was little. The ambience is what you would expect from a " Country Place " Good food Big smiles Everytime. I do miss Ms Marlene. Her and a few others were the staple there for many many years. . Their" Barnyard Buster" is my fave. There is so many good things to choose from. Dine in or Carryout you won't be disappointed!

Me and my daughters and their kids came in thinking that we would be able to sit down and have a nice family brunch. And every single thing that came out and that was put on the table was cold and terrible. My daughter ordered steak and eggs thinking she's going to get sirloin steak and eggs because it is on the menu. They bring her out country fried steak and no gravy or anything either. Then I ask for gravy and I get brown gravy instead of white gravy. Just paid way too much for the family meal for what it was. We could have had fast food we would have been happier. They only took 10% off the whole order we will not be back there again!

Wait staff was friendly and attentive, that’s about it. Our food came out room temperature at best, but wasn’t bad tasting. By the time we were leaving numerous employees were at a table with a gentleman sitting behind us rolling blunts. Upon leaving we found one exit was padlocked shut, I’m sure that’s not against any fire codes. Overall not sure we’d go back.

Not a bad country restaurant. Possibly understaffed (like many other places). Not from here and many of the customers know each other and they felt right at home. Good food, good service, and the food came out faster than expected.

Do not go to TJ’s on S. Hamilton Rd. I now know why they are closing these restaurants ordered a barnyard buster. It was absolutely terrible cold and complain. Took a picture which I will add took it back manager try to say that’s not how she made it as if I would eat some of the gravy I repeat it is the worst location to go to S. Hamilton Rd. I see now why the ratings are so low it’s customer service and trash food waffle house definitely much better

Got home to an item missing, Called them and they made me bring everything back to ensure it was missing(I had already got food out and on a plate for my nephew). The two ladies were playing the blame game instead of just making it right, then realized it was an online order. So the rest of my food was cold by the time they corrected my order. I asked what can be done now that all my other items were cold. The lady yelled for Mike, I waited about 5 minutes and Mike never came. I left and will never be back to Tee Jays after that terrible service. Tee Jays used to be known as one of the best places for breakfast, after seeing recent reviews and after my experience it seems they are going downhill. Do better Tee Jays.

The lady seated in front of me was being very difficult to the staff, So the Manager (Mike) came over and very professionally handled the situation. So impressed. My food was awesome as always.

Do not deserve any stars. T J Scramble, side a Bacon, gravy. ( not that difficult, been getting it for years) it all taste like the grill has never been cleaned. Only positive was tipping Jamie. next time I will come in say "hi" to the girls and eat somewhere else.

My husband loves the barnyard buster except for the "grease or butter" that's always soaked into the potatoes. So tonight he specifically asked for the cook NOT to use so much butter when cooking his food. He came home to eat and the potatoes were completely covering the scrambled eggs and when he moved everything around of course it was dripping with excessive butter! Apparently they put the potatoes on top of the eggs so that they would maybe absorb the butter.. now to the biscuit! Completely RAW inside!!

When I met my husband over 16 years ago we went on our first date at Tee Jays on Board street. It was good then and 16 years later we came back to visit and it is still good. Thank you for the great meal

Currently at the location 5 minutes before I was told to have a seat. The the waitress who only had two tables talked at one and ignored me for at least 10 15 minute. Then came to the table called me a maam! Took my order 10 minutes past another guest come in she greeted him immediately brought him his drink! Me still sitting here with no drink and I had to ask her to get me on and she’s like I’m busy…….. there’s 3 tables here! Disrespectful and can’t believe this disregard to humanity still exists! -50 stars ⭐️

The staff is rude, the food tastes like hospital food the portion size isn't good for families. They don't answer the phone until you call a bunch of times and they don't get notified for curbside pickup but then won't answer you for you to get your food. Tee Jaye's used to be amazing now not so much. Don't waste your money { my response to the owner} lol I find it funny how you're saying your portion size hasn't changed in that many years look at your other many one star reviews have a great day 😃.

I ordered meatloaf with mashed potatoes and green beans. The cook covered everything on the plate with NASTY BROWN GRAVEY. I have never seen it served that way maybe because I'm from the south but I always thought it came with tomato paste. I will never order that again. Normally they have pretty good food.

I love this location. Down home country cooking. The service was fantastic. She was attentive, but not overly. They weren't busy, as it's Thursday midmorning. Food was ready quickly, and was piping hot.

The worst food and customer service ive had in a long time. I had a $60 order and every single thing I ordered was either cold or ice cold. Ordered a medium rare steak it didn't even look like it was cooked. Messed up one of my orders completely. Every single thing that we ate was not worth any type of that money. Then when I go up to the counter and ask if there's anything they can do they take $5 off. Me and my family will never be back!

My dinner was great. Did have to have bacon cooked more. Guest was not so lucky. Omlette missing several ingredients. Allen the waiter was sweet and gracious, but clearly frustrated with all that had to be returned. I still love this place, but the cooks need to read the order slips. I felt badly for Allen :(.

Ordered online. The beef liver was raw in the middle. They forgot my salad and the turkey/bacon sandwich had no cheese. Everything was a mess. I have eaten here before and it was good. Whoever cooked on Friday, April 28 between 8 pm and 9 pm is absolutely awful. It tasted terrible. I hope I don’t get sick.

The service was great, and the meal was just perfect. Herb, thank you for the great service and the concerning morality of the event that took place right out side to protect the costumers and also your staff. Great quick thinking.

Arrived at TeeJays at 930am. At 945 the server finally came around to get drinks, and we were ready to order. She took our order and by 1040, she came by the table and said"i don't know what happened but I'll find out" at 11 we decided that enough was enough. Went up to the register to pay for our drinks, and was charged full price. How is that, right? The "Manager" on duty, had a huge attitude, and would not listen. She said "I was going to discount your food, but I will not discount your drinks. This is a HUGE disappointment as we love TeeJays. We never did get our food, and everyone else was being seated and getting their meal in a timely fashion. HUGE disappointment.

I've been to this Tee Jay's Country Place twice and the food is great!!! I'm going to go there a couple of times a month from now on. The staff is very friendly, professional and clean. And the location is close to my home.☺️

While my barnyard buster was pretty good, Don't expect them to have any type of Juice. No lemonade, no orange juice. Our server was great, wish I could remember her name, only can say she was a beautiful Hispanic woman I believe, but another server approached us and said there were also no cinnamon rolls and offered to replace with a slice of pie or something, then our waitress returns with the cinnamon rolls our table ordered, PLUS some extras for the inconvenience of no juice and the wait on the cinnamon rolls. They could use better communication between all of them, but for the most part, and the area of town this location is in, it was a decent experience.

Service was so bad. The server gave me half a cup of coffee, then forgot to take my order. When she took the order she forgot to put it in. Made lots of excuses. So finally got my food, less than impressed. Would have given negative stars if given the option. Won't make this mistake again. Sad, use to like this place.

Home style food, great taste. Very nice staff. First time there and we were not disappointed. I ordered the Roast Beef Split, my wife ordered the patty melt and the kids had pancakes. Great service by Michelle H.

When we came in the waitress was very attentive but she never gave us our water and I didn't get what I wanted because they wanted to try to charge me $5 for strawberries and bananas so I went ahead and got a western omelette which turned out to be good. Overall the food was good but still my heart was set on something else

Went for lunch and the food was awful. I ordered eggs Benedict and was expecting a beautiful creamy sauce. What I got was sausage gravy with a ton of fake lemon in it. How lazy do you have to be to serve someone this Horrible dish? Service was slow , but they did take it off the bill. That is still not enough to make up for doing that to someone. I believe that local restaurants should be in Clintonville not a corporate restaurant. Was really upset ruined my day.

Was greeted at the door and seated right away. Our waitress was on point with everything. Now, the food on the other hand is honestly just poor tbh. Love the environment tho. That's a plush 😊

I spent 60 dollars on food from them . I got home and was missing 2 orders of pancakes and eggs . I call to see how to fix the problem to receive the food I was missing . I got told I was lying and that they knew they put the food in the bag that the cook made the food and the server knows for sure she put it all in the bag . Then the woman I spoke with decided to argue with me on the phone instead of professionally handling the situation . I will never eat from here again sad part is I have been going there since I was a child . The disrespect from the employee will make me never spend my money with them again .

I ordered chocolate pancakes with bananas. And a chicken tender meal, with grits. Where do I start....I didn't get the grits at all. The chicken tenders aren't edible because they are not done. And the bananas are no good!!!! I will not be ordering feom them again.

Doordashed some Barnyard Busters...say that 3x fast. Regardless my lame joke, food was fresh, hot, and covered in gravy. Doordash averaged time of ~35 minutes and the restaurant keeps up with the order very quick. I also love the breakfast Big Tee, but try not to over do it with that one. I also prefer this location to Grove City.

We went inside to place a carryout order and everything was fine until we got home and seen we were missing a couple sides and 2 deserts I tried calling 3 times but each time it was picked up and being cut off with yeah yea yeah then hung up on I just was there 10 or 15 mins ago Wednesday at like 8 ish 4/26. I dunno how you can feel comfortable robbing from people and I don't think I can get a refund since I can't stay on the line without being hung up on

Parsons location is disgusting, the waitress is rude and lazy, the manager didn't even say Hi ,bye, how was your meal, thank you, NOTHING! just took my receipt swiped my card and handed me a receipt. I said hello, thank you and have a nice day, still not a word. And don't even get me started on the cold nasty greasy food🤢 I don't usually leave reviews ever but for $40 for lunch for 2 I feel violated!
