I never post reviews for anything but I wanted to give a massive compliment and thank you to the team that helped us today! I have an extremely anxious cat that got wounded and the process of taking him to a vet was so overwhelming for the both of us. However, the vet tech that saw us made us all so comfortable! I loved the way she handled my cat and she explained everything about his examination perfectly. The actual vet got him in and out of the procedure room in less than 20 minutes too! Considering that we were a walk in appointment I couldn’t be happier with the way that it all went. They are very understanding and efficient. Would definitely recommend a visit here if your pet needs an urgent visit or even a check-up. Special thanks to the vet tech, I wish I remembered your name!!

I had an emergency with my senior cat and they were so helpful. It was a Sunday so my normal vet wasn't open. They took such great care of him and were able to put him down very peacefully. It was a terrible day for me but they made it as smooth as possible. I can't thank Dr. Butts enough for her care and promptness.

Recently took my dog there as they were the only place that could see her that day without an appointment. (They still do walk in's, which is what we did initially to have her seen). After several tests they were able to diagnose and hospitalize her. The staff were great and helped her (and me) through a terrible situation. Very grateful for Dr. Flautt and the techs that all helped with her care <3 this girl has a lot more life to live because of their help.

I recently had to have my 20 year old Calico cat euthanized due to health issues. Dr. Kasey Aona was amazing through the whole process. She was very intuitive and thoughtful of my needs, as well as my cat. The experience was not a good one, but I feel that if I had gone somewhere else, it would have been much worse. They let me have control of our process and listened when I talked to them about her needs. It was Friday afternoon, and I still didn't feel rushed or like they wanted us to get done and get on our way. The Dr. also picked right up on the things I really valued about my cat and was so helpful. I can't even tell you how much I appreciated it. If/when I get another animal, I will go back there.

Doctors were excellent in caring fur my cat and dog. The one female receptionist has a poor disposition in handling calls. Nasty response with a demeaning attitude. I recalled and canceled my appointment. If you can’t be nice or pleasant you should not be answering phones. I worked at a medical office for years and her attitude would result in immediate firing! Second time I’ve spoken with her Doctor’s are great but front office is not!

We had to make an emergency visit for our family pet (dog) of over nine years. Unfortunately, the diagnosis was the worst and we had to leave without her. The team was very considerate and accommodating. They made sure she was comfortable throughout the process, as well as made sure we had all the time with her we needed (before and after.) I felt that the staff really were considerate and sensitive to our feelings and needs.

The wonderful vets and staff here saved our little buddy after he ate some yoga matt foam. I'm happy to say he's doing well both of the cats we adopted on the same day a year ago are back to being best friends. Thank you so much my wife and I couldn't be happier.

Went here for the first time due to an unexpected emergency with our cat. Thankfully, they were open on a Sunday and were able to take walk ins, too, in addition to scheduled appointments. We were able to get rapid assessment, evaluation and diagnosis, including labs. Unfortunately, after 19 years, we had to put our cat down as there were no other treatment options and she was very ill. However, despite our tragic loss, they handled everything with the utmost compassion, empathy and humane care. Our Cleo was surrounded by her family, including our kids, when she passed. The Animal Medical Center was also able to offer cremation options, too. Although it was a very sad day, it was made better by the care of the entire staff at Animal Medical Center of Gahanna. I would highly recommend both for routine care and for unexpected emergencies.

I have taken so many pets to AMC over the past 10 years and have have never had a complaint about them. They have always been caring, compassionate, experienced and willing to take the time to explain things to some of the seniors we work with and have never failed to be there in an emergency. Hands down one of the better Veterinary offices in Central Ohio

The stories of how amazing you’ve been to our fur babies are endless but most recently, when we had to make the decision to say goodbye to our Golden Retriever, Buckeye, I’ve never felt so much genuine compassion, care and love from the entire staff. You held our hands through one of the most difficult moments of our lives. I’ll never be able to thank you all enough for the care you give all of our fur babies! I honestly don’t know what we’d do without you!

I had a sudden need to schedule a vet appointment for the dog of a friend who had been hospitalized. The dog needed to go to boarding but no vet records were available. The Animal Medical Center of Gahanna got us in quickly the same day and vaccinated her. I had a second dog in the car and we were able to wait for the appointment in my air conditioned car, until the vet tech came out to get the dog. I left my car running to go in briefly to meet the vet and pay the bill. The vet was super nice and the staff at the desk were friendly and efficient.

I cannot say enough about this amazing veterinary office. We have an Akita with serious anxiety issues. We have been blessed to have Dr. Romero to care for our pet. Everyone at AMC has been so attentive and kind to us. Dr. Romero is by far one of the most caring Vets I have ever met and we appreciate him and his love for animals.

-First, I want to say that I appreciated my latest visit the most. My dog is terrified of the world and is an American staffy. No one was scared. They were so nice and encouraging to him. They also made me feel like I was doing everything right when it came to care for him. They have been patient and encouraging with me as I took my dog there for days before his appointment to get him a bit use to the environment. Overall, the people there are great. I have never not had a good experience. -All vets cost a pretty penny more than humane society vets.

Really loved their services for our guinea pig, but have not had a positive experience with my puppy. Today my husband went in for our second round of shots for our puppy. We had to cancel the original appointment due to a conflict. We were not notified that by rescheduling we would have to restart her whole shot series, including the December shot because they are combined. They also charged us for both shot visits, which is a $60 Dr exam, not necessary every visit. I have already scheduled our next visit with a different practice. I'm shocked and outright frustrated with how much we were charged and the info not communicated.

Took my new puppy in for a first time visit. We were quoted well over $400. Gave the okay on vaccinations and dewormer and Still paid over $200. We inquired about DNA testing, and seemed like a few and far between service as the tech and doctor knew little about cost/process. They did not have these kits in stock, so ordered one. Got a call that test kit was in, and we set an appointment. We arrived for appointment, the technician came and took him back… again without us present. After waiting she returns and said our dogs test must have been used for another pet. They would order and let us know when his would be there (likely the following day). It’s been several days since, and there has been no call from the office manager, nor any of the staff to apologize nor advise of the test kit arrival. Our trust in this office was fumbled. Won’t be comfortable returning for reasons listed above, and for other reasons that are not listed.

Had a grooming appointment with the veteran groomer. I get there and that is not who was assigned to my puppy. I specifically requested the groomer that had been there the longest since he was a puppy and it was his first time. So after talking to the front desk staffer that is who the appointment was scheduled with. Hence the reason I did not bring my puppy on a Saturday because it was explained to me that she does not work on weekends. I was told she was booked up when one of those bookings should have been my puppy. I ended up going back to pick up my puppy. Disappointed because I drove all the way up there for nothing and I had to be to work.

Hi. I am not sure who helped us. I am sorry I did not get her name. Our cat, Spooky, passed away on our way to your facility. The moment the staff knew there was a possibility of our cats passing the front clerk and the girl who helped us were quick to respond. You all were kind and compassionate. Thanks for taking care of Spooky in her final moments of life. We deeply appreciate your love for animals. Thanks to all of you for the heartfelt card. -The Cooks ❤️

Our kitty had a cold and this was the only place we could get in same day; that had 4+star reviews. They were very friendly and quick to get us in and out. Price was pretty low. It's cheaper to make an appointment and was able to get one same day. Only downside is my kitty had to get a rectal temp taken 🥺 but it had to be done and not their fault.

It was my first time going here. My dog Lacy was having a problem and I wanted her yo be seen right away. They take walk-ins and I was able to get in within 10-15 minutes of registering with them. The people at the desk were nice. The vet tech listened to what the problem was and took my dog in the office. After about an hour the vet Dr. Bergeron came out and discussed her findings and went over next steps. Then I was told to wait 10 minutes and then go in and check out because lacy should be ready. The fact that we were outside in a cold car for over an hour at this time of year was a bit much. I get covid issues but other people were walking in the building and staying warm so I wasn't sure why some are treated differently. I would go again however the cold wait is a but much glad it wasn't colder outside.

Just got our goldendoodle Teddy established here after a bad experience with another clinic. He felt safe & comfortable there right away and just splooshed down on the floor. The staff and vet were very nice and knowledgeable. I could tell they they truly care for the animals.

Ashley has been grooming our labradoodle for awhile now and I cannot say enough wonderful things about her, and the office staff as well. I really appreciate how she communicates and ensures we know what's going on and you can tell she truly cares and takes pride in what she does. She just does an amazing job and it's very much appreciated!!!!!

My wife and I love Animal Medical Center of Gahanna! We adopted our Daisy a little over two months ago and decided to take her there for all of her needs, medically, or boarding. Daisy already had a wellness visit, follow up shots , and we just boarded her there for our Anniversary weekend. The staff is always awesome and the care they provide will always keep her coming back. I most definitely recommend Animal Medical Center of Gahanna!

Friendly staff. Quick timing (I was a walk in). Clean. Parking is easy. Paid for X-ray but they couldn't get a pic of the area in question. Diagnosis was a guess w a suggestion to possibly go to OSU....long story short, I think my dog is a faker and he is moving as if he is a pup again....muscle get sore when ya stretch a bit too much ...office fee was super reasonable and x-ray wasn't too bad considering it was an emergency.

Hands down the BEST vet care with the most compassionate and animal-driven practice I’ve ever encountered. These folks are here for the animals, 7 days a week with amazing hours of availability. I’ve had the need to bring our dogs to this team for urgent care visits and regular wellness checks. We’ve worked with a variety of their docs and techs, and they are ALL fantastic! Obviously, if it wasn’t for the outstanding front desk team, this place would not be well-oiled machine it truly is - these guys make everything so comforting when you need them most. I cannot say enough great things about everyone at AMC of Gahanna. Keep up the amazing work, we’re so fortunate to have found you guys!

This is my dogs vet, started here after my last vet couldn't see us after my dog got injured and sent me here because of the walk in visits. Which I love the walk ins because some times I need my dog to been as soon as possible. I also, like the wait in your car procedure that started as a result of Covid, that they seem to be keeping which let's you wait in your car until they come out to get you

Edit/Update: I've decided to up my stars from 2 to 4. I was finally able to speak with a manager. After discussing the issue we realized that there was some miscommunication. The issue has been resolved. I greatly appreciate Cory taking the the time to hear me out and correct the issue. I am honestly sad that I have to write this review. But this office has failed to take responsibility so I must give a warning. I brought my dog here when he was a puppy to establish care. This vet was recommended by a family member. Upon checking in I was immediately pressured into purchasing puppy insurance. To purchase the puppy insurance, they must keep a bank card on file (that’s important for later). There is a different cost for the insurance tiers. I have the lower insurance which cost $50.95 monthly and gives you a 10% discount on services such as neuters. We have gone on about our appointments over time with no issues for the most part. The front staff isn’t really that friendly, I normally wait a while in the waiting area, but nothing too inconvenient. My dog has had several appointments here. Some for his puppy follow up care and a cherry eye diagnosis. I also never see the same doctor. My dog was scheduled for his neuter and cherry eye on 9/21/22. Prior to this appointment I was given a quote for the neuter and cherry eye surgery. I scheduled and had the surgeries completed. I paid my balance at the end of the appointment, and we were on our way. Which leads us up to today. I noticed that instead of the $50.95 they have charged $94.95 for the puppy insurance without my permission. I called the office to get clarification, and I was asked if I would be having my dog neutered? I informed the lady on the phone that my dog was already neutered, he completed the procedure over a month ago at your office. We then find out that the physician invoiced the neuter incorrectly. So instead of the office calling me, informing me that they had not charged me correctly the day of the surgery, they took it upon themselves to up my insurance tier to match their error and charge me the additional cost without informing me. I informed the girl that I did not want the higher insurance. She then tells me if I cancel the higher insurance, they decided to give me themselves and go back to the $50.95 insurance I will have to cover the rest of the neuter. This is fine however with the amount she says I owe is nearly $200 dollars over what I was originally quoted with my 10% insurance discount. None of it makes sense. I asked to speak to the manager and was not given the opportunity. Unfortunately, we are kind of stuck at this vet because of the puppy insurance. But if you decide to let these people have your bank info, please check monthly to make sure the correct amount is being withdrawn. A call from the office informing me of their error would have been nice. Obviously, they have an in-house billing issue and expecting the customer to cover their error is absolutely ridiculous.

I have nothing but good things to say about Animal Med Center! They love my doggies, have so much patience with them, and take such good care of them. I love their texting reminders to make sure my dogs are always up to date on their shots. The staff is fantastic, I've never had any issues or problems.
